Listed below are links to weblogs that reference Ecclesiastes 3: 1-8:
Whither go the Lazarus postings? Since they have a way of disappearing, one can assume that this one will be found. Doesn't make sense on face value, does it? But then I'm no one to argue logic or math given my persona and pseudonym.
Someone is in need of bluer skies. And I prefer to keep my farewell to the quiet and private tomb of archives, which is not exactly an unfamiliar kind of environment for me. Though, of course, Ecclesiastics happened considerably before my time.
Before I leave, I do have a message to relay. It's from Walt. Walt Disney, Sr., that is. How shall I put this? He's been rolling around some.
You see, he doesn't like what his once venerable enterprise has become. He thinks it's unrecognizable and as ugly as a Behemoth.
For him it's a no longer the once magical kingdom for children of all ages. Instead, it's an overextended empire which has long lost its original artistry. There was once this creative inspiration around here that carried you on its wings which is sadly, no longer.
I'm just a messenger and a mere reminder, that's all. So excuse me now. I've got a flight to catch.

Mr. Daly:
If we liked Obama, we would have supported him from the beginning. We do not like Obama and would not support him in any case. It's a matter of trusting your country with a traitor. Obama is a fraud and his allegiance is not with the United States nor the black people. He is using the US an the black people for a different agenda. Mark my words and consider your vote carefully. You must be immature to become infatuated with the new romance of Obama. You're easy.

And I thought Whither Clinton was a Shakespearean allusion, not biblical! But then I'm just a blue collar, white, non-degreed Clinton supporter who doesn't sip lattes or drive a Beamer. Yee Haw!

Democrats elected Ronald Reagan, not because he was their best choice.
Reagan was elected because he ran against the most liberal of the liberals, Carter and Mondale.
The liberal policies of these two resulted in a Republican victory that should have never happened.
It is about to happen again.

It is the time for Hillary supporters to leave the Democratic Party.
It is the time for Hillary to start a new Moderate Party, where those of us, who are moderate Democrats can feel at home. A home for the "bitter" blue-collar working class to feel comfortable, so they don't have to go to the Republican Party. It will be a home also for moderate Republicans -- a home for Lincoln Chafee and for Mayor Bloomberg, both of whom are homeless right now.

And McCain is well prepared:
"The Republican National Committee has amassed a 1,000-page dossier on Mr Obama, with researchers spending weeks in Chicago seeking fresh material. He is already being criticised for his links with Rashid Khalidi, a Columbia University professor who has branded Israel an “apartheid system in creation”."
"One of Barack Obama’s Middle East policy advisers disclosed yesterday that he had held meetings with the militant Palestinian group Hamas – prompting the likely Democratic nominee to sever all links with him.
Robert Malley told The Times that he had been in regular contact with Hamas, which controls Gaza and is listed by the US State Department as a terrorist organisation. Such talks, he stressed, were related to his work for a conflict resolution think-tank and had no connection with his position on Mr Obama’s Middle East advisory council.
“I’ve never hidden the fact that in my job with the International Crisis Group I meet all kinds of people,” he added.
Ben LaBolt, a spokesman for Mr Obama, responded swiftly: “Rob Malley has, like hundreds of other experts, provided informal advice to the campaign in the past. He has no formal role in the campaign and he will not play any role in the future.” The rapid departure of Mr Malley followed 48 hours of heated clashes between John McCain, the Republican nominee-elect, and Mr Obama over Middle East policy."

Patriot,
It is people like you who solidify my decision never to vote for Obama. Thank you so much!!

It's a dog pile and Ted Kennedy is on top. Such a loser; Hillary won his state despite his support for BO. There have been 9 super d's today (?) or combined since Tuesday, jumping on board what they think will be the victory train for Obama. YEAH...ANOTHER PRESIDENTIAL LOSS TO REPUBLICANS FOR McCAIN. That makes 9 out of the last 11 elections to Reps.
I'M STICKING WITH MY MOTTO....IF NOT HILLARY, THEN McCAIN IN '08!

Marie:
Obama was absolutely campaigning in MI. He broke the pledge which above all prohibited campaigning in FL and MI. He campaigned in both states.
Posted by: countallthevotes | May 9, 2008 4:44:22 PM
Marie:
Obama surrogates were agressively working ot get voters to vote "uncommitted." That is absolutely documented. Further, some of the MI politicians actually posted on their websites for the voters to vote "uncommitted" for Obama. Those "uncommitted" also belong to Edwards as he was doing the same, though to a lesser degree.

It is sad that a man with so little to give could cause so much grief. He is a false god with false visions.------- Obama.
Is this the third or fouth time he has distorted all truths?

Did this happen
Did you see that Obama got 15k extra votes in NC?
Could this have happened in other parts of the state.

Here is proof that the Obama campaign was involved in the uncommitted vote scheme that they encouraged and pushed in Michigan.
Here is correspondence between Obama supporters

PLEASE PASS THE WORD
There will be a conference call for all Obama supporters in Michigan on Tuesday, Jan. 8. Please check the michigandersforobama.com website tomorrow to get the time and call in number.
We will be discussing the Jan. 15 "Uncommitted" vote and how to turn those Jan. 15 "Uncommitted" votes into electing "Uncommitted delegate on March 29, 2008 to go to the Democratic National Presidential Convenvention in Denver, Colo where we then can declare as committed delegates for Sen. Obama.

Voting "Uncommitted" is what the Michigan Democratic party has asked us to do. Is that really what Barack Obama wants us to do? He left his name off the ballot for a reason---I understand that to be that the national party didn't want the election moved up, but the Michigan Democratic party did. I am not uncommitted; I am for Obama! Why doesn't a write-in count in a democracy?
Wow! So the Michigan Democratic Party also told Obama supporters to vote uncommitted. Very interesting indeed. I tell you what, those webpages on Obama's website and the comments on them really expose the uncommitted vote scheme by the Obama camapign and what they did in Michigan and soe of the people involved. Might take a little digging this morning, but look at the phone numbers, the names of the people in the comments, and their website as well. The guy named Derrick (obviously an Obama supporter) knows a lot about the scheme in Michigan. And the use of the Obama campaign website to promote the uncommitted vote scheme in Michigan is proof that Obama and his campaign were involved and campaigning in Michigan.

Calli,
The new democratic party will be devoid of the white working class. Obviously they have no use for us. However, full well expecting the flood gates to open and these Dems to defect in the GE, the Dems are now working on a 50-state voter registration campaign headed by Gov. Deval Patrick. The aim of that is to register young people and minorities, thus far uninvolved in politics. Of course, heading up the new Democratic Party will be the "creative class." Seems that is the new term being employed. Note, that is not exclusively the money people either. The "creative class" I gather is comprised of the elite of this country who are enlightened enough to know what is good for us.
That is the new Democratic Party. Out with the New Deal and in with the New Plan.

catleya,
I, too, would support HIllary as an Independent. This is the beginning of a powerful 3rd party.
Posted by: countallthevotes | May 9, 2008 3:31:41 PM
If she stays in Obama can't get to the number needed and if the super delagates put him over without MI. and FL. he will never be POTUS and there has already been heavy damage to our party and he is just as much to blame
Posted by: Bishop | May 9, 2008 3:26:17 PM
So what will the "new democratic party" that Donna Brazile is talking about look like? No more working class morons? No more bitter, gun and religion clinging blue collar workers? Interesting that Obama's "movement" is now headed towards a "creative class" that shops at Whole Foods. Otherwise known as huge SUV driving, rich, latte drinking elites. So where are all those other dems to go? Over to the Republicans? Then what happens to the Neocons? The centrists are being held captive by the extremists of this country! The Bible verses are suitable for what will happen to this country if Obama becomes the next president.

cindyct...Hillary has probably done more for the people of this country in one day, than you have in your whole life. Don't dis the Clintons (Hillary) and their service and sacrifice for this country....until we see your resume.
Posted by: Debra | May 9, 2008 1:13:48 PM
Debra....if Hillary does that it will show that she was just that person that everyone said she was...selfcentered, egotistical, and selfserving...she should be worried about this country instead of her own interests...If the Dems don't get in we're back to square one..
Posted by: cindyct | May 9, 2008 1:03:31 PM
dl...yes, I usually vote Republican and no one wants lives lost. But whoever wins President, we won't be pulling out of Iraq soon. I pick my issues and never am all one sided...but usuall lean right LIKE MOST OF AMERICANS. Historically we vote right of center. It won't be any different in this troubled times. That's why Hillary would have been the better candidate against McCain because they are closer to the middle. DO YOU GET THAT OBAMA IS THE MOST LIBERAL CANDIDATE EVER? Majority of Americans are not...to the dissapointment of CNN, and press.
If Hillary isn't running against McCain, McCain wins. His exit polls with core groups will not get him where he wants...even if he puts Hillary on as VP, I'm afraid. IT'S HIM...VERY SCARY AMERICAN/WORLD CITIZEN.

KB, I saw what you saw. The race card was the "top story," literally at the top. It looks like the top priority shifted to Myanmar as it should have.

Under Racist, Rabid and UnRealistic you will find a picture of Hillary Clinton....

A question for those HRC supporters who claim they're going to vote for McCain (and appear to think this is clever in some way): What exactly do you want?
Are you in love with militarism?
Do you think tax cuts for the rich are a great idea?
Are you somehow blind to the fact that John McCain is closely aligned with the Neoconservative project, or don't you care, or do you think it's a great idea?
Will you miss Dubya that much?
Or is it simply that the Me Generation have such an overwhelming sense of entitlement that they are prepared to sabotage their own party, condemn God knows how many to needless death and destruction just as part of throwing their toys out of the pram because someone had the impudence to challenge their chosen candidate?
If you actually believe in anything at all, please think carefully before acting out of spite. This is not a game.

Funny -- ABC had an article / title on the headlines news about HRC "Race Card" ... and now its gone?
Posted by: KB | May 9, 2008 12:39:13 PM
Actually now is the time for a huge chunk of Dems to defect to McCainland!!! That's where I'll be heading even if they put Hillary on as VP, as I'm hearing around the news this morning. Nothing worse than a woman scorned and there will be plenty of them. The largest voting demographic, I think. Obama may have the noisiest supporters threatening Recreate68 in August if Hillary would take this to the convention...I don't think she will.
You've heard of strong and silent? That will be her support group switching to McCAIN and voting him in as our 44th President.
Posted by: Debra | May 9, 2008 12:17:52 PM
mccain appreciates your support and the blue collar workers
Thank you

The Democratic Party can never be healed if the party elders are so misleading about the process of nomination.
The superdelegates are supposed to be the tie breaker when neither of the candidates reach the requirement 2025.
However they have shown their siding before the convention. By rule, they may change their position. But what is the point of having them if they can not uphold their own role. They are trying to influence the outcome of the nomination.
We call this fixing the election.

Thanks Jake for this spiritual insight
Ecclesiastes: 3:3 A time to kill, and a time to heal:a time to break down, and a time to build up. Hillary it's time to kill your campaign and and build up a democratic party that has been broken down by race and gender, so the wounds may begin to heal
Ecclesiastes 5:5 A time to cast away stones, and a time to gether stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing. Democrats it is time we put away the negative fighting with-in the party and put all of our fight together against the republicans and embrace each other for the common goal of electing a democratic president to the white house this fall.
Yes We Can !!!

Fine verse. I like The Byrds version but the Pete Seeger version was truer to the text.
And this is the time for John McCain.

Jake thanks for the scripture link. I hope the Democratic party elders will see that it is now a time to heal the party.
