Ecclesiastes 3: 1-8
May 09, 2008 10:42 AM
Hop-scotching through these last six primary states, we bring you greetings and news last night from Sioux Falls, South Dakota and this morning from Portland, Oregon.
What's next for this race? Whither Clinton?

KB, I saw what you saw. The race card was the "top story," literally at the top. It looks like the top priority shifted to Myanmar as it should have.

A question for those HRC supporters who claim they're going to vote for McCain (and appear to think this is clever in some way): What exactly do you want?
Are you in love with militarism?
Do you think tax cuts for the rich are a great idea?
Are you somehow blind to the fact that John McCain is closely aligned with the Neoconservative project, or don't you care, or do you think it's a great idea?
Will you miss Dubya that much?
Or is it simply that the Me Generation have such an overwhelming sense of entitlement that they are prepared to sabotage their own party, condemn God knows how many to needless death and destruction just as part of throwing their toys out of the pram because someone had the impudence to challenge their chosen candidate?
If you actually believe in anything at all, please think carefully before acting out of spite. This is not a game.

Actually now is the time for a huge chunk of Dems to defect to McCainland!!! That's where I'll be heading even if they put Hillary on as VP, as I'm hearing around the news this morning. Nothing worse than a woman scorned and there will be plenty of them. The largest voting demographic, I think. Obama may have the noisiest supporters threatening Recreate68 in August if Hillary would take this to the convention...I don't think she will.
You've heard of strong and silent? That will be her support group switching to McCAIN and voting him in as our 44th President.

mccain appreciates your support and the blue collar workers
Thank you

The Democratic Party can never be healed if the party elders are so misleading about the process of nomination.
The superdelegates are supposed to be the tie breaker when neither of the candidates reach the requirement 2025.
However they have shown their siding before the convention. By rule, they may change their position. But what is the point of having them if they can not uphold their own role. They are trying to influence the outcome of the nomination.
We call this fixing the election.

Thanks Jake for this spiritual insight
Ecclesiastes: 3:3 A time to kill, and a time to heal:a time to break down, and a time to build up. Hillary it's time to kill your campaign and and build up a democratic party that has been broken down by race and gender, so the wounds may begin to heal
Ecclesiastes 5:5 A time to cast away stones, and a time to gether stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing. Democrats it is time we put away the negative fighting with-in the party and put all of our fight together against the republicans and embrace each other for the common goal of electing a democratic president to the white house this fall.
Yes We Can !!!

So now Clinton is getting the bible along with the kitchen sink thrown at her?

Scriptures from this passage have also been used in eulogies...
It's time to close the coffin!

Fine verse. I like The Byrds version but the Pete Seeger version was truer to the text.
And this is the time for John McCain.

Jake thanks for the scripture link. I hope the Democratic party elders will see that it is now a time to heal the party.
