Has the General Election Begun?

May 28, 2008 9:32 AM

We took a look at this question today on Good Morning America.

Read it HERE and watch HERE.

Who are you planning on voting for? And why? And to all the Democrats out there, does it bother you at all that Sen. Obama is campaigning as if the nomination -- which he has not yet clinched -- is his?

The Obama fanatics will beg for votes and forgiveness from MI and FL. He is not going to get it. He is going to loss by FL, MI, Kentucky, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Ohio , Texas, Arkansas,

It is all the way downhill for him.

McCain is not the maverick hero some think he is. His war record, including his involvement in the Forrestal Fire, should be scrutinized. As should the Keating scandal.

But he REALLY lost me when he went hugging and kissing on GWB.

Hillary voted for the War Based on Lies, so she is out also.

i agree...lets add my number one biggest reason( excluding the candidate himself)-----

MICHELLE OBAMA!!!

I have three important reasons for not voting for Hillary:

1.) The perfection to which she has developed the art of lying.

2.) Her naivete in foreign affairs, to wit, she made a corkscrew landing under sniper fire into Bosnia. Her only backup was her then twelve-year-old daughter, a guitar player and a comedian. She could have least had a sax player with her.

DEMOCRATS AND REPUBLICANS - TAKE NOTICE

-----------ROE v. WADE-----------

Two of the current justices of the United States Supreme Court will probably retire within the next four years. One is 75 and the other is 84. This will give the new president the ability to nominate two new justices. If McCain is elected you can be sure the new justices will be just like Roberts, Scalia and Thomas: willing to overturn ROE v. WADE. So think when you vote!!!

The General Election has begun. And Hillary Clinton is totally irrelevant!

Posted by: rhbate | May 28, 2008 2:49:50 PM

Obama!

And, he certainly should be campaigning against McBush! John's had enough of a vacaton!

And you clintonistas (probably republicans in disguise) who keep threatening to vote for McBush -- you deserve him!!!

Obama 2008 -- Yes, WE CAN!!!

Geevil, what heat?

This topic is tame.

If you disagree with anything I said, so what?

I still support Hillary, and if Obama becomes the nominee, I will vote for McCain, as will millions of other Democrats.

Why? Because Obama is too far left, and his actions over the last 20 years shows that he shares the radical left-wing views of Jeremiah Wright.

Say whatever you want about me-- I'm going to eat lunch.

One last comment, I did not post at 12:14:17 p.m. or at 12:14:18.

As for how do we pay for Iraq, I think that Iraq should pay war reparations and for the cost of safeguarding it from Al Qaeda and other terrorist groups.

Iraq is a major producer of oil.

It can afford to do both.

You make comments & cannot stand the heat. Next thing is to blame someone else for your utterances. Typical of the person you support, I suppose.

I am going to leave with this comment.

I support America's goal of guaranteeing its access to Middle Eastern oil.

Until technology develops a reasonable alternative source of energy, which will allow America to keep its high living standards, America should keep guaranteeing its access to Middle Eastern oil as one of its national security interest.

For those who disagree, good luck trying to find work on a bicycle and trying to stay warm by burning whatever you can find which will burn and by staying cool by replacing your air conditioner with a hand fan.

USMarine0331:

Thank you for taking the time to respond to my question(s).

I agree that the Iran issue is a serious one. However, I am confused by those who feel that talking with Iran is a problem. When did negotiating become a sign of weakness? Without direct communication, what is the alternative? Do you really think America is strong enough to just wage war on everyone who doesn't agree with us?

Jake,
Short of you possibly showing your right leanings, why would you "stir the pot" so to speak by asking:

"...does it bother you at all that Sen. Obama is campaigning as if the nomination -- which he has not yet clinched -- is his?"

No, Jake, what has bothered me most about this election process so far is the unmitigated gall Clinton has shown to get what she believes should have been hers. She has thrown decency to the wind. Instead of going to Florida last week to continue her stump speech of how she is better, she instead fans the flames of voter disenfranchisement by saying over and over again how Obama stymied the revote Florida wished for. She makes correlations to voter suppression in Zimbabwe to enforce her argument? As you would say Jake...Really? How in any way is that kind of talk good for the democratic party, even if she were somehow to get the nomination?

I do, however, appreciate her hitting Obama pretty hard in the primary, since some of her attacks will likely diffuse the republican attacks in the general. And it certainly toughened up Obama.

Another point for USMarine0331:

Since Senator Clinton claims that she is going to leave Iraq, what is your basis for your support of her candidacy?

Posted by: Nobodys fool | May 28, 2008 12:29:24 PM

Nobody's fool, you asked how I think we should handle Iraq.

However, I think the better question is how should America handle Iran, which is trying to become the dominant power in the Middle East by acquiring nuclear weapons.

I support America's current efforts to stabilize Iraq's current Pro-American government, which is working.

I also agree that America should keep supporting the United Nations attempts to keep Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons.

The greatest risk that all Americans face is the risk of nuclear annihilation.

Osama Bin Laden has already called for the use of weapons of mass destructions against America by Muslims.

America should do whatever it has to do to keep Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons.

Posted by: USmarine0331 | May 28, 2008 12:29:05 PM

USMarine0331:

So are you saying that we are going to be in Iraq indefinitely? How are we going to pay for that?

Posted by: Nobodys fool | May 28, 2008 12:27:46 PM

If Obama thinks Hillary tearing him up wait until McCain and the Republicans get their hands on him.

Posted by: Tom | May 28, 2008 12:27:28 PM

so obama has told his supporters there are 59 states instead of 57.
