Power to the voters of these United States. These are the one who should decide who will be President! If Hillary has the popular vote, then it should be her. Delegates do not truly represent the American people, they vote the way the party wants them to vote. Super delegates and regular delegates should be , gotten rid of. The people should decide!

Hillary is the choice of the Democratic Party because more voters voted for her and they make up the party. The Superdelegates should tread lightly because of the backlash if they overturn the will of the voters for Hillary.

Onward to convention with the backing of the party.

Rules or no BS rules the issue is this: is our president to be chosen by politicians, i.e. delegates with their own agenda or by the PEOPLE, i.e. voters. If you believe in the latter, then IF and I say IF Clinton has more peopular votes, then yes, she righfully deserves to be on the ticket.

In contest of any kind, you are entitled to run across the finish line. Before anyone cross the finish line, there is no winner and in consequence the claims that running causing the other to loss is presumptuous and plain stupid.
There are two candidates running for presidency and millions of voters have been behind them. It is plain stupid to ask anyone to leave the race prematurely. Of course, they will have to cross the finish line and let the rules speak for itself who is the winner.
I am sick and tired to hear people making up new rules. The nomination is up to the superdelegates who can always change their mind before convention. They are free to vote for anyone they want. These are the ultimate rules because none of the two can secure the magic number of delegated by pledged delegates alone.
Let the superdelegate cast their vote and stop tampering the election procedures.
If they select the wrong candidate to loss the general election, they are responsible and not the candidate who must do the best they can in running for presidency. This is good sportsmanship and they have earned their rights and their voters support to go this far.
All those who are not running, please shut up. The superdelegates should just cast their vote and shut up. They have no right to sway votes. They only have their only voting right.

@jmc663:
Read the quote, jmc. You can't have it both ways. If the delegates want to defy the voters, that is their privilege. If he voters want to defeat the party elite, that is their right.
The more immediate issue is will the rules committee break their own rules and give Obama delegates he did not win. If so, then there ain't no rules and this is a street fight. So anyone writing on this list that true Democrats will back the party nominees or they aren't true Democrats are hypocrites. The DNC is destroying the Democratic Party and it will take one or possibly two more cycles to right that situation. Meanwhile, the Republicans can have the White House back. I've quit worrying about that. It is the downticket races that worry me now. Obama may have the list and the war chest but the numbers say the coattails aren't long enough to be a waiter at a cocktail party.
It is so sad to see the DNC morph into the RNC, but heck, when Fox is the only network telling the truth, the world has turned upside down.

nah waht it shows is that you cant base anything on polls today in a primary battle to what will happen in a GE battle
bill clinton was 3rd in the polls in the primary, and he came back and won the nomination
but tahnks for playing geevil

Once again i just want to say that all the obama supporters on here should really think about disengaging the hillary people ... let them fight amongst themselves about their candidate
the less clicks on the hillary articles the better...
seh cant be forced out through money, and losing, and... well anything, but possibly letting the media know that the american people think this is over ist he way to go.

just found this chart which blows hillarys bs charts of karl rove out of the water and also those that keep linking the polls that somehow show her up 300 something in the electoral college
even though she counts texas lol but whatever here is the point
http://electoral-vote.com/evp2004/may/may28.html
ALos want to say, hillary has gone back on everything she has said, and thsi saturday will be no different
she said she wouldnt go to the convention, and so did everyone in her camp...
and of course this week last few days we sure are hearing adifferent story...
but we should have expected that with the goal post mover that hillary has become
stop linking hte popular vote because you are wrong about it by the by...
if you want to count every vote then count the votes taht obama got as well...
also i love bill saying today that caucus voters dont count as much
weird thought a vote was a vote... but ok goal post clintons
the long and short of it is this
saturday things wont go the way hillary wants them,
FL and MI will get at best half votes, and at worst (for hillary) halved
the first giving her a net gain of 19 the latter giving her a net gain of 6. She wont be happy with it and will say shes taking it to the convention because the primaries should be counted in full.
Sunday will be puerto rico
and then on tuesday montana S. Dakota
where obama will be within 10 or so delegates of getting the 2026 number
clinton will contest tahts not the number and then in the next few days youll see the rest of hte supers come forward declair and put obama over the clintons other magic number
there by disqualifying her reason for taking it to the convention anyway.
OBAMA PEOPLE
set your sights on mccain, let these hillary supporters sit and think about their upcoming choices

This is NOT a popular vote race. Its a delegate race. That's why we have the magic number of 2026.
Hillary Clinton said this when she was leading earlier on and both the DNC and Obama camp have said the same thing.
The popular vote is great to have, but it's not the deciding factor on who wins the nomination. It's the DELEGATES.
And as of right now, there are no ways Clinton can either win or spin that she has a delegate lead.
As we learned from the 2000 election. The popular vote does not count it's the electoral vote.

P.S. Len,
Pop vote DOES NOT get you the Nomination, Delegates do. Any she just doesn't have them.

@BKMC:
"she should very proudly accept the judgement of the voters."
That's what she is saying to you and Obama. This is the will of the voters as of today:
Clinton 17,410,209
Obama 17,234,194
As of next week, that number will be bigger and the voters will is to have Hillary Clinton as the President.
Hypocrisy? I think so.

Bill and Hill the Bosnian General should understand that big egos do not make it and being from a Clinton family is not a destiny. There were primaries and she has lost and her campaign is in red, therefore, she should very proudly accept the judgement of the voters. But if Hill wants her beloved friend Mccain to win in November she can continue her fight even after the convention, it is really up to her. Nobody on this earth will take away from Obama his victory. Through his campaign management style, he has proven that he can run the biggest economy and super power in the world. God bless America and God bless Obama. OBAMA08.

Scott McClellan sounds like Obama_ I bet these two guys will work together in a near future
Posted by: Alain | May 29, 2008 9:35:14 AM
I truly believe HRC is TRYING to split the party!! I think she knows Obama will get the "nod" and she is doing all she can to make sure he looses in Nov to make her point. She isn't thinking about us poor peons who will be destroyed if the Reps stay in power. She only thinking of proving her point,"I WAS RIGHT, YOU GUYS!!!" To hell with America...? Hillary shame on you!
Posted by: truthtell | May 29, 2008 9:27:57 AM
Ok, I have NO problem with HRC letting this thing play out. It's her right and a historic moment for America.
That being said, I fail to see how she would bring America "back to fiscal repsonsibility" when she is spending millions of dollars on TV ads, in a campaign that has ZERO chance of suceeding.
I like HRC, but that dog don't hunt, LOL!
