(One last blog post before my three days off.)
A not unexpected, but no less impressive victory for Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-N.Y., tonight in West Virginia.
Two reactions from her camp tonight that were worth noting, I thought.
One from communications czar Howard Wolfson on CNN, a well articulated explanation of their argument in these final few weeks of the official primary calendar.
Wolfson plays three roles in this one-act: the Communications Czar, the Evil Media, and the Chorus of Superdelegates.
"Senator Clinton has predicted she'd carry West Virginia against John McCain," Wolfson said. "She showed tonight just how she would do that. This isn't just a small victory. This is a huge victory.
"You know, the media has been telling voters 'Barack Obama is the presumptive nominee, it's all over, give up, don't come out and vote,' and yet in overwhelming numbers they've come out and voted for Senator Clinton tonight.
"I think superdelegates are going to look at that tomorrow and say, 'You know, let's slow this down, let's take a look at this. Can we really deny the nomination to someone who's won the key swing states of West Virginia and Ohio and Michigan and Florida and Pennsylvania. I don't think that's a good idea for our party.'"
And…scene.
(We should of course point out that the Michigan and Florida primaries were not recognized, candidates did not compete there, and Obama was not even on the ballot in Michigan, so claiming she won those states is quite a controversial claim.)
Then there's this other interesting tidbit from Sen. Clinton, who pointed out that the voters of West Virginia certainly don't consider this race to be over. And then: "Why did 64 percent of Democrats say in a recent poll say they wanted this race to continue?"
That's a bit odd, because she's citing our own ABC News/Washington Post poll there, and in that same poll, Democrats said by a 12-point margin that they preferred Obama as the nominee.
In any case, a huge victory for Clinton, one that ultimately is likely to cause Democratic agita but not any significant change in The Proverbial Math.

Obama's new concern about Israel is just Pandering for votes just like his new concern now for Florida and Michigan
Why would Obama speak before a muslim group asking for assistance for Palestine in 1990? This concern about Israel by Obama is just so much political rhetric.

How anyone can honestly believe Obama is a change from the same old political games is beyond me. He said his association with Rezko was a 'dumb' decision, that he didn't know Wright was a rascist, that he wasn't putting down small town workers, that he wants a bipartisan administration. He was voted "Most Liberal Senator" title last year, he wants gun controls, made a deal with Rezko even while knowing Rezko was under investigation for corruption, lied about not knowing Wright's agenda, and told a liberal San Francisco audience what they wanted to hear about rural 'hicks'. He told Judicial Watch he had no records from his term in the Illinois legislature and is using a Madison Avenue slogan 'Change We Can believe In' to try to get in the White House. He comes from a wealthy Hawaiian family even though he tries to portray himself as one of the downtrodden. 100 years ago he would have been called a snake oil salesman.

In the 2004 primary election, Howard Dean won Vermont with almost 60% of the vote. After he'd already lost.

Clinton keeps saying no Democrat has won the White House without winning West Virginia since 1916. This is true.
What she fails to mention is that you can win West Virginia and go on to lose the White House.
Four previous Democratic candidates for the presidency have won West Virginia in the general election and lost the White House: Adlai Stevenson (1952), Hubert Humphries (1968), Jimmy Carter (1980) and Mike Dukakis (1988).
Missouri is the bellwether state, voting for the winner of the presidency since 1904, except in 1956. Obama won Missouri.
Like Jay Leno said last night, maybe she can become the president of West Virginia.

Hillary got it right last night. Since 1916 Every Democrat who won the Presidency won West Virginia. Obama just lost West Virginia and the Presidency. Vote for Hillary or McCain never Obama.

Hillary sounded like and looked Presidential last night in her speech.
Obama fell flat on his face last night answering questions at the factory in Missouri. Obama rambled on and on boring them to death and he threw in some hmms and uhhs too. He quoted Hillary's proposals word for word. He did not connect to the working-class voters period and Obama will not connect with them in the general election either. He was not energetic he was just as bored as the people listening to him. Obama is truly weak, uninspiring and pathetic. This is Obama when he is faced with questions by the people and in debates. No wonder he is a big chicken to do any more debates.
I agree with other posters here. Obama is an empty suit for the people with no experiences, false promises, with more corrupt, criminal, unethical and immoral associates than any other candidate in the running for President. Perhaps that is why the La Times reported on April 27th that Obama had laundered $112,000 thru his Law Firm he received Robert Blackwell. In return Blackwell received political favors and $320,000 in Illinois State Grants. Blackwell then donated thousands of dollars to Obama’s campaign. This is just one example. Here a few more NAFTA gate with Canada, FARC and Hamas deals and millions of dollars bundled by George Soros under investigation for several counts of money laundering. Birds of a feather flock together. Quick Obama here come the Cops. “Here comes the judge, here comes the judge, here comes the judge”. What a great line by Sammy Davis Junior on Laugh In. Vote for Hillary or McCain never vote for Obama.

Lisa, you're just full of misinformation. Clinton, Dodd, and Gravel were on the Michigan ballot.
Posted by: HoosierSue | May 14, 2008 10:01:19 AM
Just for the record, Obama did run campaign ads in Florida after pledging not to do so.
And his name was on the ballot in Michigan and he chose to take it off.
And Hillary and the DNC agreed to re-votes in FL and MI - completely paid for - but Obama called in his team of lawyers and put a halt to it.
So how are the votes as they stand unfair in a razor thin primary race where the weaker of the two candidates is apparently to be nominated because the voters of these two states (which we need to win in the GE) are being ignored and dismissed?
Posted by: HoosierSue | May 14, 2008 9:56:27 AM
The overwhelming victory for Senator Hillary Clinton last night is BECAUSE the public has seen enough of Barack Obama and his untruths. Last night, Obama put on a “flag pin” after he said he would not wear it, “my actions will show my patriotism, and I will not wear the pin” and he flew over the state that was overwhelming voting for Hillary, in a landslide, to talk with some young students to convince them to vote for him. His strategy has become clear. He has a scare tactic for the young college students and he offers “hope” and “change”. We all know that there are problems to be solved. The bulk of the United States hard working families, middleclass Americans have seen the light and know that more than “hope” is needed to fix our problems. We need actions and results. We need an experienced person in the White House. We need someone that speaks from the heart and doesn’t “change” the game plan every other day (the flag pin is a good example because it just happened yesterday). I’m sure that someone on Obama campaign said wear the “darn” pin and after the election you can throw it into the wastepaper basket. The Rev. Wright, the statements and the statements about the hardworking Americans clinging to their religions because they are bitter ALL CAME OUT after Super Tuesday. This man has been found out and America is coming forth to tell you Democrats Superdelegates its over for your party, and “come November” we will either cast our vote for Hillary Clinton or John McCain.

I'm glad Hillary has integrity. The fact that Obama takes $200 Million from George Soros, the corrupt media "giant" and help from moveon.org shows obama's lack of integrity and character. obama is owned by people with money. Clinton is OWNED by the AMerican People. I like it that way. Hillary won WV and all the swing states so far. People in those swing states will not vote for Obama in the general. So, there you have it - obama cannot be the dem nominee or the dems will lose. And don't give me stuff about obama changing the electoral map! Red caucus states don't count. He cheated in the caucuses and people don't vote in caucuses in the general. Bye obama and THANK GOD for WEST VIRGINIA!

The republicans spent very little money on campaigning. If Mc Cain were to run through the Democrat party, he would have been out of the race long time ago more than broke. The dems and their rules somehow allow that kind of manipulations and it's not that OB handles his money better, it's that he outspends HC a lot and the financial machine behinds him allows him that kind of things. I would not use money as a criteria.
Posted by: Jane | May 14, 2008 8:59:23 AM
to Jill,
go to "Clinton Chair praises Fox news..." and read the comments, some of them are pretty good and explain well about the media bias.
I think the voters have to do a great job by holding to their choice of Hillary Clinton because the media and a lot of financial interest at stake will try to prevent her from being the nominee.
The interests of the voters do not always meet with the ones of the machine power behind the parties.
As the boss of a big hedge fund company that has just collapsed a month ago, told a friend who worked for him, that he supports OB because he is "plastic, one can do what one wants with him".
There was an article in the Herald Tribune some days ago that analyzed well the fact that billionnaire hedge fund bosses rather support OB because he is new , and one with money can still get his place in the circle, whereas with the Clintons, they already have their connections. That's what they mean by change in politics. New people, new connections, new share of power. That's what they have been trying to sell to the voters, "hope and change". That's why Kennedy, Kerry, and others who support OB, because through him they can get to the top.
I would compare him with Bush, because Bush is the man of the republican machine. So is OB for the moment, the man of some wing of the Democrat party that tries to take over. The media is pretty much bought out. They look out for their own interests and mock the voters who still have their say. They want to seal this nomination fast, to prevent Hillary to make her point to the convention.
It's up to the voters to be loud enough by their votes to make their point of supporting their candidate.
Democracy is a struggle, and the people learn their freedom through their vote.

Thank-you West Virginia...
You saw through the worshiping, the swooning, the empty promises, and the lame excuses.
The hard-working people of WV can spot a phony from a mile away.
You spoke for all the Hillary supporters last night.
Go Hillary or McCain...never Obama

Clinton has a strong argument that she'd do better in the key states in the fall vs. McCain. She won the base Dem states of NY and CA and MA...and she won all those crucial swing states. Obama won an array of states, mostly ones that will go to the Republicans in any case. Clinton is the real leader in this race.

@maryintampa...
that's what the ol chicago-style, under-the-table politics is about. as i have said in earlier posts and dates, i bet a lot of people who voted for obama could change their minds now that the truth has come out and he has been exposed for what he really is.
and this i wonder as well, how are the 'super delegates' any better than any of the rest of us by having the right to change their minds, switch sides, etc., when the average american voter can't? i'm sure things would be a lot different if the 'average' person could have the opportunity to go back and re-vote. clinton would have it all by a landslide.
Posted by: carlasue | May 14, 2008 6:44:03 AM
Google Alice Palmer Barack Obama Chicago Tribune and read how Obama got every one of his opponents removed from the ballot in Illinois so he could run unopposed in 1996. He also got the divorce and custody records of his opponents unsealed in 2004 which created scandals for them and got them out of the race. Again to run virtually unopposed.Add that to Wright Rezko and Ayers and the other names that keep popping up and I think ethics take a real backseat for Obama.

She has the popular vote, electoral vote, core base, and momentum. Actions speak much louder than words - she has taken action and fought for America much harder than any other democrat.

we do not denote all people of any ethnic heritage by that ethnicity. we are all americans(unless born abroad and designated with a hyphen). we can all be "americans" and still within that umbrella, which is OUR country, be, white, black, asian, mexican, korean, canadian, etc., etc., etc. the common bond is american. by hyphenating out our ethnicity, and questionable citizenship, we set ourselves up, even before meeting, as different. this goes for any group that arbitrarily adds a heritage line to america.

You may consider racism the "puss of america", but it is not all a white issue. I content that blacks by calling themselves "african americans", are themselves separating from the whole and creating their own space which is divisive. it shows a need to be different and apart, and in and of itself is racist.

West Virginia is American and proud of it.
West Virginians are hard working, proud, loyal Americans.

Obviously racism in the puss of america.. let it come out to the surface, so this country can heal and move to the future.
2008 and many of you sound like you are still in the 60's...no growth in 40plus years..still thinking you are the superior race and all must bow to you. When that tornado hit you, i bet color don't matter then.

HRC's blowout was today! Not months ago.
Seems as if I remember Obama, his campaign, and his supporters all saying "wait until the American people get to know Obama" then he will win everything.
Looks as if the more the people know about Obama the worse he does. Like losing today, in a blowout.
The in-the-tank media, and all of the race-baiting, couldn't even save the savior.

I have a lot more than just that Libre,
YOU JUST DON"T LIKE THE FACTS!
Hillary fans think tonight in WV is so fantastic! Such a big win! Wow!!!
Here are a few for you from Real Clear Politics - Not fake numbers as some of you Clinton fans put up here:
State.........Obama% .....Clinton%
Virgina .....63.7 ........ 35.5
Maryland ....66.7 ........ 35.8
Nebraska ....67.7 ........ 32.3
Georgia .....66.4 ........ 32.2
Colorado ....66.5 ........ 32.3
Kansas ......74.0 ........ 25.9
Minnesota ...66.4 ........ 32.2
And there are plenty more of them where those came from... And WV is so, so, so important? Why???
And so the night is over, Hillary won a very small state big, and tomorrow it's over for her again... Hope you Clinton Fans enjoyed the party!
Posted by: Davis | May 14, 2008 3:50:02 AM
Maybe you Hillary supporter's should take a look at the margin of victory in Senator Obama's wins over Hillary. Obama's percentage on the left and Hillary's on the right!
Idaho 82.2% 17.8%
Hawaii 76.2% 23.8%
District of Columbia 75.8% 24.2%
Alaska 74.6% 25.4%
Kansas 74.2% 25.8%
Washington 68.4% 31.6%
Georgia 68.1% 31.9%
Minnesota 67.4% 32.6%
Colorado 67.3% 32.7%
Illinois 66.3% 33.7%
Virginia 64.2% 35.8%
North Dakota 62.6% 37.4%
Mississippi 62.2% 37.8%
Maryland 61.9% 38.1%
Wyoming 61.9% 38.1%
Louisiana 61.7% 38.3%
Vermont 60.6% 39.4%
I wouldn't EXPECT a Hillary supporter to know these things because the average Clinton supporter is not very bright. They don't even remember the rules argeed too at the beginning of the primary, and they are not aware that HRC plans on changing the rules AGAIN. Simply put I am sure you were NOT aware that McSame congratulated HRC on her win, but never congratulated Obama. Why did this happen? Because HRC is a POWER hungry, fatal attraction, republican tool. If she causes us to loose in November, her senate seat is TOAST.

Davis 85% of Obama's base is the African American vote. Do you really buy that story about all Obama's supporters being Highly educated? The census shows a different story.
The funny thing is Barack Hussein Muhammad Obama by law is White and Arab. This is why Hammas and other Islamic Radical Extremist Groups support him and contribute large sums of money to him. He sure has the Black Panthers and his Black Liberation Church fooled. Barack Hussein Muhammad Obama is only a Black African American wanna be. He is using Black African Americans for Greed for Power, Money, to play the Race Card and Votes.

Davis. Look up the La Times article on Obama Laundering Money, Chicago Sun and times on the Murder Ivestigation and the numerous articles on George Soros Money Laundering. After you have read the articles who is full of BS? The facts are boring to you and other Obama supporters because you are in a total unhealthy mental emotional frenzy over your Messiah Obama.
Posted by: Bob4USA | May 14, 2008 2:54:08 AM
Davis, where do you get off calling Hillary supporters nuts? Obama's campaign and his surrogates attacked anyone who did not support him as racist. Hillary won West Virginia with a large youth vote, with an educated electorate, and Obama won blacks by only 1 percent.
All that name-calling created a resentful white electorate. What did you expect?
You ARE elitist, and that is Obama's problem - elitist supporters who will not recognize that a lot of people who do not have college educations get the work of the world done - you know, like carpenters, builders, roofers, miners, waitresses, homemakers, etc. They are not your servants. And a lot of Hillary supporters are well educated too. Many, many of us have college degrees and have even done some post-graduate work.
You'd gain a lot more support if you'd quit being disdainful of people you know nothing about who are not like you. The Democratic Party needs all the support it can get.

Countallthevotes, Debra,
Wow that's a news flash!
Hmm, let's look at that demographic:
25% Over 60
50% High school education or below
95% White low income Hillbillys
Home of the "Hatfield and McCoy" voters (wonder if they still have that feud going on?), and the seat of Senator Byrd a former KKK member...
Yep, that's Clinton's demographic alright. Congrats on the big win there Hillary fans!
Yipee! Now go give some more of your hard earned money, as she was up there begging again in the first two minutes of her victory speech - yes again...
Posted by: Davis | May 14, 2008 2:36:17 AM
I'm with WV voters I find it hard to believe how anyone can vote for Obama who according to the LA Times committed the criminal act of laundering $112,000 personal income from Robert Blackwell who thru his Law Firm as an Illinois State Senator. Robert Blackwell contributed thousands of dollars to Obama's campaigns and received political favors and a total of $320,000 in Illinois State Grants as reported by the LA Times article April 27th 2008. What part of Obama committing criminal money laundering isn't understood by Obama supporters, the DNC, Supper-delegates, TV and Radio Media? Money Laundering is immoral, unethical and illegal. The punishment for laundering money is Prison time. George Soros is under investigation for several counts of Money Laundering. George Soros is one of Obama's biggest Billionaire supporters who is bundling millions of dollars in donations to Obama's Campaign funds. Obama sure can't get all those millions of dollars from 1.5 million students poor and middle class African-Americans. They don't have $2300 to give to Obama's campaign. Personally I will not risk my vote to nominate someone like Obama who is under investigation for murder of the choir director of his church and money laundering. I hope the investigations to these crimes are over soon and Obama is arrested. It would destroy the Democratic Party if Obama is nominated for President then arrested. Perhaps the Voters of WV understood this and they realized that his words are empty he can't answer a question in a straight forward to the point way because of his criminal activities and hidden agendas. This will make the Aristocratic Republican Party be in absolute pure ecstasy. Perhaps these are some of the reasons why such a huge majority of WV voters voted for Hillary.

Just like Bush with the war, Obama lied to the Democrats at the begining of the campaign hiding his allegiance to Rev. Wright and Black theology. That is the only reason he is ahead in the primaries. After we found out he has not win anything but NC in which obviously there was fraud.. Obama is as deceiving and conniving as Bush. Write Hillary on the ballot.

Adrian Millet...yes Obama has energized alot of college kids, the majority of them. But she has her fair share of the youth vote and Chelsea has set foot on many college campuses throughout this country. It's just the youth vote will not be enough to elect any candidate. The majority of bloggers are younger....think of the millions who don't surf the web everyday...alot of those voters will vote Hillary or McCain. It is commendable, but middle aged, middle America historically has voted in every president since I can remember.

I don't see why people are trying to minimize Obama's achievement? Who has brought the millions of young voters into the electoral process? Why do we not hear about Clinton's difficulty in attracting THEM in November? By the way, does it also mean that in attracting "hardworking, white Americans" she needn't worry about the black vote, poor fools that they are? But to return to my point, why does she keep attracting the OLDER voter? Does it mean she has nothing to say to coming generations? When last did any significant American leader, black or white, fail to speak to Americans OF THE FUTURE??? Did JFK, MLK, or the Roosevelts, bank on their sway with voters over sixty? The thing is so ludicrous, it almost makes you weep.

I heard Obama blew it today by not coming out with some great speech somewhere like he usually does. They had to dig down deep to get the tape from him speaking in Missouri today and it was not very inspiring. I love how Anderson Cooper said McCain called Clinton tonight to congratulate her, yet he's never called Obama. I don't think he likes BO and it will get ugly in the fall, despite having to tippy-toe around race. I actually think Hillary and McCain have a good relationship and would have a great campaign against one another. Better TV. I don't have time to listen to Obama yell on and stutter and stammer. I will switch off the TV if he is the nom..I'll be in the tank for McCain. WATCH HILLARY ON CNN SITUATION ROOM TOMORROW!

it's pretty strange to me that the media seems determined to crown obama when it is hillary who can clearly win the needed states in November. Michigan, Florida, New York, Ohio, Pennyslvania, West Virginia, California.....she's won the big states and the key swing states - these determine the general election - just look a map of electoral college votes. obama has to fight to get credibility in those states, hillary already has them. but yet....we are going to nominate the weaker candidate? why oh why?

Would someone please tell me why does Hillary Clinton keep stoking the democratic divisons between black and white, intead of healing them, when in the opinion of every single analyst, the race is over, and she has been overtaken in the superdelegate race? Does she expect them to overturn their votes and change their mind, and leave the elected delegates in the lurch? What the point of this ongoing, hurtful charade???

The caucus system sucks and should be completely replaced with primary votes only. College students are the primary caucus groups.

One must wonder where so much money comes from unless you look at all the groups such as terrorist and muslim ties that are sending in bits and dabs of money. No one has to put a correct name on a money order or cashier check. Obama has so much he can help those superdelegates in their next election. Getting elected again and again is more important than an honest election. Money buys influence. Money buys votes. Money buys the election. Yep, we live in a democracy. Every vote counts for Senator Obama. He has done more harm to the Democratic Party than any other politician in the last 100 years.

Brent, thank you for your post! Well said.

Clinton supporter remember Hillary need more than words she need our donations. I don't care what Obama supporters or the media who seem to think they are super-delegates on steroids say.

I don't mind you using my analysis, but I would appreciate it if you acknowledged it. I spent quite a bit of time developing it and writing the text. I was going to repost the original, dated April 23, but since you have put up your "modified" version, I shall refrain, until tomorrow.
In any case, I think it is fair to say that tonight Senator Obama was the Whupee, and I believe much the same thing will happen to him next Tuesday in Kentucky, possibly to the same degree, or greater.

Obama's ratings will take a dive at the next pollings.
His gaffe's in his speech today will haunt him thoughout the remainder of the campaign, just proving that he doesn't know what's going on the Middle East. Hillary won't have to be bringing it up, McCain will be bringing this up on a daily basis. Obama doesn't seem to know what language is spoken in Afghanistan and he seems to think that the Poppy Fields are in Iraq rather than Afghanistan. Since BO kept referring to McCain's Iran gaffe, I'm confident that McCain will return the favor.
I think that Obama did it on purpose because he's now realized that he can't handle the job.

Talk about running up the score! The officials should have invoked the mercy rule to save the empty suit from this utter humiliation. He'll be weeping into his waffles tomorrow morning.

Does anybody wonder how Obama with his big college kid support and AA support continue to bring in millions. There is a cap of $2,300, and who really thinks any college kid or many blacks aree able to contribute that much. He has 5 billionaire liberals who think they can buy him the nom by "bundling" their money into his campaign.

Hillary is such a disgrace, isn't she?!
Period. Period. Period.
How dare she keep her wedding vows?
How dare she forgive her husband?
How dare she not become an alcoholic?
(After two miscarriages, Ted Kennedy's pregnant ex-wife Joan Bennett had to stand in court by him after he let Mary Jo Kopechne drown in the car he'd driven off the bridge. She suffered a third miscarriage shortly thereafter. Eventually womanizing Kennedy divorced the poor alcoholic Mrs. Kennedy.)
How dare she talk to Senator Robert C. Byrd who most passionately objected to the invasion of Iraq by speaking for hours on end on the Senate floor when he was 40-odd years ago a Klansman?
How dare she not quit when she's called bitch, witch, and evil itself?
How dare she get up when she's knocked down by and pronounced dead, dead and dead by the millionaires on television?
How dare she ask Americans of all colors to work together to bring back our country when she does NOT RENOUNCE over half of Whites, over half of Latinos and over half of Asians WHO ARE racist (because they would not vote for Mr. Obama)?
How dare she maintain her optimism by telling Americans the best days are still ahead of us when Rev. Wright wants GOD to damn the U.S. of KKK-A?
How dare she have so much stamina?
How dare she have so much will power?
How dare she have a backbone made of steel?

DON"T LIKE THE FACTS??
Hillary fans think tonight in WV is so fantastic! Such a big win! Wow!!!
Here are a few for you from Real Clear Politics - Not fake numbers as some of you Clinton fans put up here:
State.........Obama% .....Clinton%
Virgina .....63.7 ........ 35.5
Maryland ....66.7 ........ 35.8
Nebraska ....67.7 ........ 32.3
Georgia .....66.4 ........ 32.2
Colorado ....66.5 ........ 32.3
Kansas ......74.0 ........ 25.9
Minnesota ...66.4 ........ 32.2
And there are plenty more of them where those came from... And WV is so, so, so important? Why???

I heard BO took his name off the MI ballot because he knew he was going to lose. They are talking now about Hillary defectors to McCain and how it's not a black or white issue...Dukakis lost too...liberals lose, centrists win.
Posted by: Debra | May 14, 2008 12:44:41 AM
It appears that the Hillary fans will have yet another gasp next week. Kentucky might come in as an even bigger slaughter for her than West Virginia.
Her pathetic pleas (as Davis referred to) for contributions apparently has been successful from what I understand her internet contributions tonight have totalled the largest amount yet that her campaign has taken in a single night.
Of course she doesn't have the Oprah or Kennedy or Kerry/Heinz money behind her. The Obama group have been begging forever.
Posted by: Obama The Anti-Christ | May 14, 2008 12:44:30 AM
I just heard more super d's are coming out tomorrow for BO...big surprise. Why do they have to do this everytime? Why can't they let this play out...does anybody wonder why they are trying to shut this down before all states vote? This is energizing the party....cable news rating will so drop once it's down to BO and McCain. We all know who we're voting for if our candidate isn't the nominee....or should know. I am not a party loyalist and I bet there are millions this year who will be McCain Democrats.
Posted by: Debra | May 14, 2008 12:39:30 AM
After a beating like that, I believe that it's proper to question Obama whether he is ready to drop out of the race.

Tonight is one last gasp for all the Hillary Fans...
Pat yourselves on the back, have some fun!!
Here I will help you: Go Hillary, you can still win Hillary! We've got your back Hillary! yeah, yeah, Rah, Rah Hillary! Go all the way Hillary!!
Oops, you guys better go over to her site and give her some more money. Oh you haven't heard? She's broke and worse than that her campaign is in debt to the tune of about $20 Million... In her victory speech tonight she was begging you guys for money again.
Go Hillary! We have your back Hillary, Go all the way Hillary! You can still win it Hillary! Math doesn't matter, we won't turn on the TV as you asked us! Go Hillary, you can still win it!!
Pathetic...

sonia, doesn't matter, Hill is done.
Posted by: a | May 14, 2008 12:27:59 AM
WV rewarded Mrs. Clinton with a large majority of the popular vote. This is impressive, but it appears she is out of campaign money. Mr. Obama on the other hand raises millions daily. Since both have about the same number of supporters, based on the popular vote, it would seem both should be able to raise about the same amount of money. Mrs. Clinton's supporters may not have very much money.

Carol, she's not a disgrace, she's a winner and by a landslide tonight, Period.

question
is it true that obama lost every single county in west virginia?
Posted by: sonia trevino | May 14, 2008 12:26:27 AM
I think Obama and his campaign should take a long vacation till the August convention.
They don't need to be there to keep up the fight against Clinton and her supporters and demand that she drops out of the race to make way for Obama....the media will do their job.
Way to go unbiased media....
Posted by: TrueDem | May 14, 2008 12:21:44 AM
Debra, calm down. The reason that Obama is campaigning in other states is because he knows he is the nominee. Both Obama and Hillary know what super delegates are with them and Hill has lost.
Posted by: Belle Starr | May 14, 2008 12:16:24 AM
The come from behind win in Indiana? Going into Pennsylvania, she was ahead in Indiana by 9? Next time, try to make your lies at least a little bit plausible.
Posted by: bobb | May 14, 2008 12:11:09 AM
earful-excellent point. i believe that is pretty much the script for 'cult leaders' it is never their fault. the messiah is always protected by the followers. the more we know about obama the more this looks like a bad episode of the sopranos as well. remember this guy is playing chicago style politics which holds the national distinction of having the most elected public officials serving prison time.
Posted by: sonia trevino | May 14, 2008 12:09:52 AM
Obama would have had a lead in popular vote...if there were only 48 states in the Union. But this just in...there are 50 states, and more people in America so far have cast ballots for Hillary Clinton than they have for Barack Obama. And that is a simple fact.
