Super-Scooping Super-Ds
May 12, 2008 5:19 PM
It was just Friday. I was standing on a street corner in Portland, Oregon, at 4 am Pacific Time, telling Good Morning America's audience that Sen. Barack Obama, D-Illinois, had surpassed Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-NY, in the one remaining metric left -- superdelegates.
Obama had 267 to Clinton's 265.
Now it's Monday afternoon, and Obama leads Clinton with superdelegates by 17 -- 283 to 266.
In total delegates, Obama has 1,873; Clinton has 1,692.

jgaw-i live in new mexico. i did not realize that obama paid off richardson's election bid tab? makes sense the guy is a total opportunist. if obama is betting on richrdson to being the hispanic vote on board wow are they in for a surprise it will have the opposite effect lol. in nm some of us have started a watch list anybody that richardson endorses we will campaign against.

and there maybe some truth to it that obama and his handlers offered to help richardson pay off his presidential debt.
obama the new kind of politician has proven he and those who support him can be the best politicans and public servants money can buy

Anders Scooper if obama wins the nomination and chooses richardson he will ensure an ever further loss within the hispanic community. in new mexico richardson is considered a traitor. nm supported hillary-nationally hispanics supported hillary and yet he endorsed obama. the worse part of all this was not his endorsement, but rather his hateful vile statements on larry king-sort of like twisting the knife after stabbing us all in the back. richardson is an opportunist who only endorsed obama because he misses being on the national stage.

as
how do you figure that can happen, now?
i am all for sen. clinton, always have and will, but i listened to her what seems to me her goodbye speech today, i
think obama and his handlers with all of their money and the dnc behind them, they have beat her and us.

Obama will lose the nomination and Hillary will win the presidency. Go Hillary!

in the spirit of the phrase
keep your friends close, but your enemys
closer
as a life long dem. i was just listening to the bill oriley
talk about the obama/ayers association.
a reporter from the chi. trib. was on and the word is there is a lot to come out in nov. about this association. and how the nation is going to be shocked to find out how these back room far lefters have been planning to put a hand picked, spoonfed disciple of theirs obama in the wh.
mr. obama went to chi. and aligned himself with the wright church on purpose, he purposely went to meet and associate and become friends with the ayers.
i just wonder when this all comes out all i want to hear is how chris matthews and keith olberman will spin this. because with obama and his chicago people-i think they probally think of cm and ko as idiots-and really are just using them
obama will not be POTUS
and i feel sad to say the dems will not win.

Jelly Bean Dean would make a good vice for Obama but he will pick Bill Richardson.

People are speculating about who Obama might pick for vp. Conventional wisdom is that he would pick someone to shore up his foreign policy/commander-in-chief creds against McCain. Stunningly, Obama has said that he thinks this is the area where he is strongest!!! On April 6 in Cal. he said:
"I would like somebody who knows about a bunch of stuff that I'm not as expert on," ... "I think a lot of people assume that might be some sort of military thing to make me look more Commander-in-Chief-like. Ironically, this is an area--foreign policy is the area where I am probably most confident that I know more and understand the world better than Senator Clinton or Senator McCain."
Again he thinks his strong suit is as Commander-in-Chief and needs help in the other areas! People this is very risky business.

Mary,
That has been going on all along and was the word on why Richardson endorsed Obama. Note, I do not have personal knowledge. It is done and can be done as they are all Democrats.
ELECTION FOR SALE??

The Party is more than any one of its candidates, and it's the Party that wins in November, not the candidate. Now, whether the Party wins will depend much on how its members come together under it's adopted manifesto. The Party cannot have Obama saying one thing and Clinton saying it's not going to work.

Was just listening to some talk radio station on my way home from the store. The guy just stated that the Obama campaign has set aside $20 million to help the superdelegates in the next election. Is this a bribe or what?
I certainly call it dirty politics. Seems the will of the voters aren't being heard. The primaries are not over yet.

The only sure states for OBAMA are the seven states that he added on USA.

what a set up he is not going to run this country all the old pol and money people are. Thier is something really funny about this election . Those that met in OK were a new by partisan group names I have not heard of in twenty years.

I hope she turns down the vp she is so much better than most of the people in washington.

Obama won't pick Hillary as VP...
His only weapon against Reps is his pretended new politics or change (though he came from the most infamous political city Chicago with the biggest political fixing scandal)...
If he picked the same "old" Washington insiders or politicians he and his campaign have trashed from day one, he would be left with nothing....

I am writing in Hillary also but make sure what your state rules are on. I think maybe the dream ticket was thought up in OK on Dec 30th Bloomberg meeting.

Forget Hillary running on as VP with that inexperienced arrogant racist fake Obama. It won't happen and if by some freakish event it did, I would still not vote for Obama.

True Dat:
Did I say I was voting for McCain? NO? I didn't think so. I said I am not voting for BO and I'm not. I refuse to vote for anyone who painted Bill and Hillary Clinton as racists. Two people who have spent most of their lives fighting for civil rights are called racists by BO and his campaign...just so they could win SC? Forget it! The man will NEVER get my vote because of that.
I'm writing in Hillary's name. IF my state isn't close in the GE (should BO be the nominee, which he won't be because he can't win). BUT, should it be close, I just might cast my first ever, since 1973, republican vote. BO won't be getting my vote.
If you are so concerned about our country, True Dat, perhaps you should have supported the candidate who can actually win the GE?
