Stacey: Your not talking reality. If Obama wins the nomination the battleground states will vote republican and that's what I would do. And there's more whites than blacks. Hillary didn't need the black votes to win the battleground states but he needed them to win his nickel and dime states. He is a flunky and will never be president of this country. She will get more superdelegates and MI is making a deal with Dean regarding the delegates. Of cours, Hillary will get the most.

Posted by: Mariann Pepitone | May 4, 2008 5:16:11 PM

EastCoast: You are so right. Dean is the instigator in this and so is Andrew but maybe the superdelegates are holding off to see if Hillary will win more states then give her the superdelegates with the nomination. Basically even though he won more state he can win the major ones. If he is the nominee he will not be the president because those states won't vote for him. And her voters will not vote for him no matter what Clinton says. Good for them. Obama couldn't run this country even if he had help to do it. He lacks everything a president should have and more. He didn't choose the right friends and he doesn't have the knowledge to make right decisions. Sitting down with the enemy? The enemy would be dancing in the streets if he was elected president.

Let's hope other democratic super delegeates are not as foolish as Andrew. Why support Obama? There is no way he will be able to beat McCain. Clinton at least has a chance. A very good chance. The scandal with the pastor, his wife's comments and his remarks about the people of PA destroyed any chance he had of beating McCain. The Democratic Super Delegates have wasted enough time. It is time SUPPORT CLINTON. AT the democratic party will not break the bank trying to get Clinton back in the White House.

The people of Indiana don't care about Joe Andrew. This is a story purely for the national media, and Obama to milk for all he can.

Very few Indiana votes will be changed because of what some uninvolved state party politician from the 1990s thinks. Most people in Indiana couldn't even name who the CURRENT Indiana Democratic party head is.

But what would one expect for a lawyer who was fired for her lack of integrity and honesty. This is clearly a woman who has used her bed to get where she is today.

She wouldn't recognize a patriotic message if it slapped the simple minded grin off her face. THIS is a woman that thinks that 8000 people should have walked out of a church because SHE didn't like what was being said. So much for the right to worship the God of your choice in the church of your choice---right Hillary!

Mob princess Pelosi has set the idea of "women" back about 50 years, but I STILL hope Dr. Dean turns out to be on the side of the angels ...

The guy who defected from Clinton today is affiliated with Diebold, the corporation that makes machines which can make sure the votes are counted any way they like. THAT's not exactly "democracy", either.

Candidate Obama, who's come to his present place by knocking others off the ballot, is no friend of democracy -- ANOTHER reason to whup him in North Carolina and Indiana, and get this "hope" hustle OVER with.

This is a matter of fixing the election.
This is not a matter of whom to elect.

When the party is trying to tell people whom to elect, when this party is making choice for the people,

Does the words 'of the people, for the people and by the people' mean anything to you?

First Pelosi, Carter, then this Joe Andrew...and more.

They all claims to be democratic...only when they have it their ways.

When OBAMA is losing, they just can't wait to let the people vote...They want the party to determine the nomination and not the people.

It is crystal clear that the party is rotten inside out. It needs a great fighter to change it. Ducking like OBAMA does not have a chance.

Go Hillary! In the history of America, you will be long remembered even when this election is over.

Listen to yourselves Clinton supporters. Your candidate came into this race thinking she had it sewed up. She didn't. She became negative to the point she has dropped lower in trust than any candidate in the history of the United States. She is, and is known, to be the candidate willing to do anything to get elected. THAT you could ask anyone on the street and the answer would be Hillary Clinton.....she has stooped to Republican attacks and taken money from supporters full well knowing she her chances were slim to none and all the while paying HUGE amounts to her friends such as Mark Penn. Her supporters such as Andrews are leaving her for a reason. They are looking at what is best for the country as opposed to their personal ambitions.
People who whine they will not vote for the democratic nominee are showing who they really are and that their main goal was never what was best for the country if they are willing to hand it over to the Republicans just because they didn't get their way.

Robyn, Just curious....what is worse...Attending 20 years in a church where a pastor spouts inflammatory rhetortic you or may not have heard or spending 30 years in a marriage with a man who is an adulterer and proven liar? Before you answer understand that this is a rhetorical question. The trouble with Clintonites throwing stones at Obama is that the Clintons are far from clean. And what rankles me and has turned me completely off to the Clintons this year is that have used this negativism as their campaign strategy. While I am not an Obama supporter per se I do not see the same negativism as a campaign strategy from Obama.

I will say again destroying your opponents image does not enhance yours. It destroys yours as well. So, if you Democrats want to continue to drive Independents such as myself and moderate Republicans from voting for your party just keep up the negativism and character assasination. The Republicans will win by default.

Will Obama's payments from Blackwell ever get scrutiny from the media, other than the LA Times? Did ABC report that Hillary picked up 5 superdelegates today to Obama's 1?

Posted by: rs | May 1, 2008 4:20:43 PM

Samantha -- too bad. The party has decided. Now you can become a Deaniac!

Posted by: A | May 1, 2008 4:17:06 PM

The Party is trying to decide the nominee instead of the people. The people keep voting for Hillary. She has won the last three big primaries and polls show she has more support nationally among Democrats and against John McCain. What the Party is trying to do is exactly what Putin did. Putin put his successor in without the people voting for him. That sounds like Communism to me. But wait a minute. This is a democracy, or so I thought. The Party and the Superdelegates need to shut up and let the people decide who is the nominee.

Posted by: Samantha | May 1, 2008 4:14:11 PM

Obama is desperate as can be right now. He must have promised Andrew something real good. He even got Andrew to say he was impressed with how Obama handled the Wright concerns. Ok Joe whatever you say.

Obama turns out to be the real "racist" in all this, so sure "black" voters belong to him, because of his not-unique birthday suit, that he's abused and discarded the man who, however "offensive" it was, interpreted black rage to the Press Club, and who's been largely responsible for Obama's "black" credibility on race AND religion.

Notice how Jesse Jackson doesn't seem to be rushing back from Haiti to try to save this fraud.

Looks like the Democrats are shooting themselves in the foot. Obama will do anything to get his way. If people cannot see that spending 20 years with Rev. Wright says Obama is, and always has been, happy with his rhetoric and now that he is hurting his chances for the nomination things have changed. But folks this is only on the surface as you don't spend all this time at a church if you don't agree with the preacher!!!! Superdelegates openly changing their minds is not helping the campaign. The press are in Obama's pocket but hopefully Hillary can get the nomination. I will not vote for Obama if he gets nominated. I must swallow my pride and vote Republican - ouch.

Posted by: Robyn | May 1, 2008 3:40:06 PM

Hillary fans -- Please give your rationale of how your candidate can possible accumulate the total delegate vote to win the nomination. Stop rationalizing and calling people names -- just tell us how this magic would work.

Inquiring minds want to know.

This is just a 24-hour news cycle filler for Obama, while he does absolutely nothing new to garner any news coverage himself.

Looking forward to Part II of O'Rielly's interview with Hillary later on today. Now, that's substance!!

Posted by: sherr | May 1, 2008 3:36:21 PM

Roxie -- Wright is not the issue. Obama's lies are the issue.

1. Why does he lie to us saying he did not know about the outrageous things Wright has been saying all these years? Nobody with an ounce of sense believes this, so why keep lying?

2. Since he obviously knew exactly what Wright was saying why did he sit in the man's church for two decades, nodding, smiling, and praising the man?

3. Why did he say in his Philadelphia speech that "I can no more disown [Wright than I can disown the black community. I can no more disown him than I can my white grandmother." Now he has disowned Wright. What has changed? Nothing except his poll numbers. His Philadelphia speech, labeled by the press and his fans as "historic," turns out to be nothing but another lie.

Obama is so arrogant he thinks he can tell whatever lies he wants and his supporters will believe him, and maybe that is true. They say love is blind, and if a person loves you that person will believe your lies because they want to. But, to lie to someone who loves you, just because you can, is about the worst betrayal imaginable.

Then she was the typical latino in NV eating a taco!

Then she was Rocky!

Then she was just another beer drinking/shot taking joe!

Then she was Annie Oakley!

Found another bit (27 October 2007) on the incomprehensible confusion of Joe Andrew with V.C. Andrews. One supposes there's money in this mystery:

"I got a couple e-mails from people wondering if there was a new V.C. Andrews book out. They had seen on the official SimonSays.com V.C. Andrews website, a book called "The Disciples: A Novel", supposedly by V.C. Andrews. A quick search of the internet shows that this is NOT a V.C. Andrews book; it is an espionage thriller written by Joseph J. Andrew. Someone made a mistake."

Good choice, Belle Starr.

Initially, I was an Edwards supporter. In 2000, I was a Gore supporter. A Gore/Edwards ticket would result two individuals with character, dignity, intelligence, honesty, leadership, and experience.

If the DNC and Democrat leadership was only capable of making an intelligent move.

But, with Dean, Pelosi, and Reid, that may not be possible.

see what you obama supporters fail in is know the difference between an enemy and an opponent.
sen. clinton has been obama opponent but he and his supporters have treated her like the enemy
john mccain is the enemy

Connecticut Automatic Delegate John Olsen Endorses Hillary
Connecticut automatic delegate John Olsen announced his support for Hillary Clinton today.

“Hillary Clinton is the champion working families need,” Olsen said. “She is a fighter and a doer who will stand up for the middle class and deliver quality, affordable health care for every American. She is the strongest candidate to beat John McCain in the general election and win back the White House.”

A DNC member since 1996, Olsen is President of the Connecticut AFL-CIO and former Democratic State Party Chair.

Posted by: Rick | May 1, 2008 2:55:59 PM

This thing has been rigged from the beginning. Not long ago the Obama camp was trying to paint a superdelegate win as a "smoky back room deal", and supers should only vote along with their states or the popular vote. Wow - tell that to Kennedy, Kerry and Richardson to name a few. Their view is radically changed now that ONLY the supers can deliver a win. The ultra left has succeeded in garnering the nomination (big deal ...he won't deliver the WH) - this candidate of Reid-Pelosi-Kennedy was going to be the nominee NO MATTER WHAT THE VOTERS HAD TO SAY. This may have been the only time in history with the huge mistakes of a republican administration to run against that the uber liberals could get a shot. The overwhelming fact is most of the US falls toward the middle. The behavior of the Obama supporters IMHO has been just as disgusting and hateful as the right wingers. Activists targeted the caucuses knowing the system could be manipulated. They haven't taken into account the level of rage that is happening right now... over disenfranchising MI & FL, the Wright issue and Obama's unsufferable and unbridled arrogance, the subtle and not so subtle ways racial tensions have been played, the disgusting media bias. Those voters that got played early on are also angry now that some of the reality of Obama is hitting the airwaves. If anyone has had this nomination stolen from them its Clinton and by extension Edwards.

As voter sentiment shifts dramatically to Hillary, especially in Indiana, Obama supporters, like Joe Andrews, are screaming "Shut it down! Stop voting!" They fear that, once voting ends in June, Obama will have suffered a long string of humiliating losses. He will still be ahead in the pledged delegate count, but he will be behind in the popular vote and he will be behind in the polls.

When Andrews says that the continuing primary race is hurting the party what he really means is it is hurting Obama. The race is helping Hillary enormously as she enhances her reputation as a tough and smart campaigner.

We need to keep voting! Everyone's vote must be counted! If the superdelegates en masse go over to Obama before voting ends Hillary's supporters will "go postal."

Posted by: jgaw | May 1, 2008 2:46:53 PM

Whether you support Clinton, Obama, or none of the above, the declared intentions of Democrat superdelegates are not much of an issue, if any.

Lest we forget, the superdelegates, along with many of the delegates, can cast their vote for whichever candidate they please regardless of publicly declared intentions or voter preference.

But, there are probably some of the younger voters who have not yet figured out that all of politics is not quite truthful, if at all. Perhaps, the youngsters will soon learn.

At any rate and regardless of how the remaining primaries turn out, the nominee will be decided at the convention in August and not a day sooner.

Judging from past practice, the Democrat leadership and the DNC could decide to pick a candidate of their own choosing--one not currently running for office.

If you don't think this could happen, you need to study history in greater detail, specifically, 1968...

Al Gore, we are waiting...

Four New York Automatic Delegates Back Hillary: Cuomo, Fields, DiNapoli, Arroyo named NY Automatic Delegates Today

Posted by: Rick | May 1, 2008 2:41:11 PM

well rosy,
you should help stop the coronation of obama.
and then maybe we can unite.
there are more question marks about obama than anyone who has ever run for president.
here is the big piture to show just how wash. will not change with obama
the dnc, plelosi, and co. know that with sen. clinton in office their big deal making schemes are off. because she doe not owe them anything.
but with obama-well=he is fresh meat
for them to slice and dice as they please.
he will be owing so many people favors that nothing will get done for the american people. the on part of transparancy about obama is it is apparent he will belong to the wash. est. and he will soon find out how things really are. he could not even manage rev. wright and their 20 year relationship. he is underqualfied to run this country,
sen. clinton supporter are begging for the process to play out fair and square for the sake of the country.
obama supporters-are begging for the process to play out so the black man can win. that is what it is all about
let the black man win.
mr. obama has inspired people to vote for him-and then they will do what?
sen. clinton has said all along WE need to work together to get right done.
obama campaign for the white house is all about him.
and if you think he is clear of trinity church and it will not come up in the fall. check out the new preacher of obama' church.
rev. wright taught hate for yesterday
moss the third is teaching hate for today and tomorrow.
obama cannot get rid of the teachings he has learned over the last 20years.
he is a confused man-and the thing about it is what kind of judgement does he have that the rev. wright things was not going to come out.
obama would have been bad for the country for the last 20 years of listening to wright
obama is bad for the country today and tomorrow.
you cannot get the feelings you have had in your heart for 20years overnight.
so if he gets president
he will go into the white house with some feelings that the white man is not right.

THE MODERATE DEMOCRATS LOSE!

Despite the new Gallop poll that has Hillary and McCain four points ahead nationwide, Obama (aka Soetoro) will win because the democratic party has been hijacked by left-wing elitists. It's over and time for Hillary fans to walk over and join the winning team.

Hank is funny and says "Hillary would be 1000 times better on her bad day than Hussein Obama!"

I wonder what she would be on a good day? And just when are we gonna SEE Hills on a good day anyway?

The most corrupt politican in the last 100 years is still making deals and lying to get elected. George Bush's ratings will be considered high when the citizens of the USA have a chance to evalute Obama if elected. He threw his pastor away like a used tissue after using him and the members of his church to get elected in the first place. Barack Obama smells like a carp that has been left out in the sun 2 days. He will do anything to get elected, not to help Americans but he wants the power. His outrage at Rev. Wright was a sham. Obama believes the same thing. He is a Marxist and a racial divider, regardless of what he says on the campaign trail. God save America if Obama is elected.

Hillary Supporters...you have to read the New York Post right now.

The truth is coming out about why Rev.Wright went off on Obama. The article was dated yesterday. Good article today too.

A: When the fat lady is singing, that means she is winning. I know all about the movie. When the thin man cries his camp says their goodby's. That's how it is. Too bad. And the fat lady will continue to sing until the end. And the end will becoming soon.

More on Andrew's "spy-thriller". Just substitute "superdelegate" for "superpower". (Note: Andrew's character "T.C. Steele" is named for the impressionist painter from Indiana):

'In the world of espionage, knowledge is power. And beautiful, brilliant Rebecca Townsend who has suddenly gone AWOL from the National Security Ageny has a great deal of knowledge. Far more than any one person should have.

For Rebecca belongs to the BUNDT [emphasis added] family, a family of twelve, bankers and information-brokers since World War II, whose descendants, like the Disciples, are now preparing to convert the world to their creed. Their weapon: the accumulated secrets of the superpowers. Their aim: to literally blackmail them into securing world peace.

An agent with his own unique talents is called out of retirement to track Rebecca down, and a nail-biting game of cat and mouse begins. The result could be the end of superpower conflict - or the detonation of World War III...'

Wow, now you people are threatening delegates. That is scary. What will be next. You know they can vote for whoever they want.

As Hillary gets stronger and stronger, Obama looks weaker and weaker. Because of his lack of experience Obama will have a hard time winning the presidency. If he does win, however, he will be a weak president. He will be captive to every nickle and dime interest group in the Far Left; and first in line will be Rev. Wright. He will not be able to get anything done because he does not have effective negotiating and debating skills. His Obamabots swoon and faint at the big speeches, but congressmen, senators, and governors will not join his adoring fans. Campaigning may have become an extension of American Idol but governing is not.

A vote for Obama is a vote for an Obama-nation.

Memo to Obama bashers...

First you wanted him to denounce Wright's comments- he did. Then you wanted him to divorce himself from Wright- he did. And now you're still not satisfied. What's next- you want Obama to go toilet paper Wright's house? Do donuts in his front yard with his car? Geez...

Let's look at character- the worst one can say about Obama's character is that he MIGHT be like Wright or Ayers. Yes, he might- but then again, he might not, and with nothing in his record that indicates he shares the views of either of those two men, I'll give him the benefit of the doubt. Clinton, on the other hand, has left us no doubt as to her charecter- she has a long history of proven lies, deceit, demonizing others, and ignoring rules and laws if they impeded her ambitions.

Given the choice, I'll avoid the devil I know, since the devil I know is still a devil...

Hillary is a new drug, it's called LIAGRA, she can't help what she says, it's the drug, don't blame her!!!
she's a nut...

dogsoldier: That's a good question. It has been understood that Obama has missed voting on issues numerous times. The reason being so he can say I wasn't here. He didn't vote for the war but he voted for the funding so what is the difference. He is one of the biggest liars in politics. Now, where is Kennedy, Kerry, Oprah and Shriver? I haven't seen them on the platform for months. Oprah got a backlash so maybe she's staying still. Kennedy and Kerry must be in hiding. I hope Hillary wins in Indiana, Kentucky and Puerto Rico to keep going.
