Gina, we don't hate Obama and the fact that we wouldn't vote for him has nothing to do with race but with his lack of capacity, his divisivness, his radical friends, his selling of political favors in exchange fo money to Rezko and Blackwell, his old politics tactics he used to win the Illinois senator seat. He is fake and deceiving

Posted by: libre | May 11, 2008 12:56:03 AM

Write Hillary in on the ballot. I am sure she will get more votes than Obama.

Posted by: libre | May 11, 2008 12:49:23 AM

Oh man, it was so sweet, Barack and Larry Sinclair pulled up the rally in a pimped out '64!

Posted by: Alison | May 10, 2008 9:14:13 PM

I'm a lifelong Democrat, however, after seeing how deceptive, ruthless and divisive Obama has been throughout this campaign, I could never vote for him. Better a moderate Republican than Obama. Also, I don't think I could stand another 4 or 8 years of race cards being thrown at all who disagree. That's really getting old.

Posted by: James | May 10, 2008 12:42:49 PM

Paul: No, Hillary did not agree that the voters and delegates of Florida and Michigan should not count. The agreement signed by Hillary and Obama was an agreement not to campaign or participate in the primaries there, nothing more. Hillary abided by the agreement; Obama did not. He advertised in Florida for 10 days on the radio prior to the Florida primary.

Posted by: Sue | May 10, 2008 12:26:55 PM

Didnt Hilary agree to not counting the votes from the 2 states? Since she was ahead then she did not really care about the votes from Florida or MI but now that she is loosing she thinks thier important. THAT'S Hilary for you...only supports what will benefit her, if she had disagreed back then maybe she wouldnt be in the postion that she currently finds herself in. How experience does Hilary really have? She cant even manage her own small campaign how much more a large country like the US.(Remember she hasn't got enough money to loan to the US should)

Posted by: paul | May 10, 2008 12:17:00 PM

Why do you Obama folks play the race card every chance you get.
Why do you not understand that supporters of Hillary do not "HATE" Omama.
We are in fact really angry at the DNC, first they screw 2 states from being part of the primary. Then they shove a brand new inexperienced 143 day senator down our throats as the greatest thing since sliced bread. He is not, period!
It is time for all who are totally fed up with the DNC to go to your town or city hall and change to an independent. We can watch their heads spin. We have little power or control on this disaster they have caused. We can of course opt out of the democratic party. I will give no more money and no support to any Dem except HIllary.
People show your power, give them nothing!

It's funny that the supposed progressive Dem party is now saying "Little lady, time for you to step aside and let the men handle this one. Don't worry your pretty little head."

It will be interesting to see how Obama will woo women back after his surrogates call Clinton yesterday's news.

margi iagree if what you just wrote. I am really amazed at how much people hate Obama. I am an Obama supporter but would easily vote for clinton if she were the nominee as i believe that both are better than McCain. The onl;y reason ppl are angry is because Obama is black. It really sadness me when some people say America is not ready for a black president. Why? are blacks still second class citizens? What is sooo differnet about a black or white president I thought people's stand on issues was more important but obviously i was wrong.

Posted by: gina | May 10, 2008 10:19:16 AM

tomdavie & LL Barra

Obama misspoke , he meant 47 states already visited, if that's all you have against him, go luck. Why does it hurt so bad to have a black president?

If Black were so racists , I don't even think that Bill Clinton would have won the WH twice, remember in 1995, HRC told him this about the White working class "Screw them"
Barber reports in his 2001 book that Hillary Clinton said "Screw 'em" about southern working class whites who did not support Bill Clinton.

Two other scholar-particiants, Alan Wolfe and Harry Boyte, agree she said this

Mccain also misspoke when he said he wanted a missile defense for tchekoslovakia. It does not exist anymore , now we it is the tcheck Republic. He also said he will meet with president of germany.

I rest my case.

i continue to be amazed at the comments on these blogs. i have never seen such a lack of critical thinking. i especially love the argument that obama is only winning because he is black. huh? without going into how laughable that argument is given our country's history toward black folks it shows a lack of critical thinking. but i'll play along...so if obama is only in this position because he is black, is hillary only there because she is a woman? please point out her accomplishments over john edwards. she is in the position she is in because she is a clinton and a woman. the harsh reality for both candidates is that neither has done enough on the world stage. but i submit no previous job can prepare you for president other than being president. it is not enough to just be a senator and it is not enough to be the wife of a president. if we set the bar at experience neither can claim it. the problem is that hillary has tried to claim it, but has failed to prove her experience improved her judgment. thats the catch-22. she claims she has all of this experience, but how did that experience help her with iraq? how did that experience help her with the gas tax holiday debate? for obama he can't claim the world stage experience because he hasn't been on the world stage long enough. however, he has never argued he has the experience for the job. he argued that he had the judgment for the job. here lies the fundamental difference in their appeal. experience is something that is measured by judgment so when you claim your experience is what gives you great judgment, if your judgment is faulty (i.e. mystery sniper fire), your argument gets defeated. this is the problem hillary's campaign created. had she originally run as the candidate of change she would be winning now, but she isn't because her judgment told her that she would be the inevitable candidate not the change candidate. for obama his judgment comes into question because of his association with wright and he paid a price for that association. however, the problem with the argument is that his actions have been completely counter to the words of wright. it would be one thing if someone could show that obama's policy making was in line with wright, but you can't. so the argument is purely guilt by association. again that is not critical thinking. i think everyone from both sides should take a deep breath. peace be unto you.

the media has taken upon itself the position of HR in this election and they identified who they wanted to hire and determined how to write the job description to achieve it. it will be interesting to see if they change what is important and what is not when the race is between obama and mccain. for those who believed clinton the strongest candidate, many have said they will vote for mccain. i think this is true and short of arnold switching to obama from mccain i don't think they will change their mind.

ALL ABOARD

Quick Clinton supporters -- hop off your train and board the Obama Express. You will, you know. Resistance is futile!

Be a good little democrat and forget you're abandoning your moderate principles and are joining the ultra-left.

Posted by: A | May 10, 2008 9:02:57 AM

If after all the way whites treated our ancestors, i still believe that not all whites are racist, then how can you say that Obama is racist just because heof what his pastor not him , has said in the past? I guess its a different rule for whites and blacks right? The only reason people are threatening to vote McCain is because they feel that a white republican whose party has brought such misery to America in the last eight years is far far better than any black president the world has tooffer and yet you call Obama a racist? you are the racist who need to get over yourselves.

Posted by: angie | May 10, 2008 8:51:44 AM

Geevill.

So you think that pundits would be BIASED and tear a strip off Clinton no matter what she said? Nah.

Whats next? The entire Liberal media slanting all their news for 4 months to favor Obama?

Posted by: tomdavie | May 10, 2008 8:10:44 AM

Josie.

Read the article. It was written like a military coup. It reads like Obama has staged an overtaking of the entire united states with armed forces and a strategic covert operation.

The piece goes on to claim that Obama is about to be crowned KING of the united states , and NOTHING CAN STOP US (evil genuis diabolical laugh not included )

I have to tell you, this stuff is typical liberal thinking. Over throw the goverment. This time do it from the internet out.

Yeah, I am convinced as well that there is a major problem brewing with an Obama administration.

There are way too many radicals involved in his process.

This blog sent me over the edge and convinced me to abandon the Dems and go Green party should Obama be nominated, even to the point of voting for McCain
(as opposed to writing Hillary's name in)

I don't know which is more appalling, Obama's agenda or the attitude of the blogger towards him

Posted by: carla sue | May 10, 2008 4:45:17 AM
