The Protests Outside
May 31, 2008 5:15 PM
Hillary Clinton supporters inside the DNC's Rules and Bylaws Committee brouhaha here tell me that a number of the pro-Clinton protestors outside the hotel seem to be under the mistaken impression that if Michigan and Florida were seated at 100 percent strength, the New York senator would immediately pass Sen. Barack Obama in delegates and would have enough delegates to win the nomination.
That is obviously not what would happen.
Meanwhile, on YouTube someone has posted this interview with one of the pro-Clinton protestors outside who has some rather strong feelings on the subject.

The posters who can only say derogatory statements about Senator Clinton and her supporters need to think a bit instead of talking from their back sides. Such small minds. There are irresponsible.

Honestly, let us stop this sexist game.
HILLARY WANTS TO CAMPAIGN IN A PERFECT GENDER BALANCED AMERICA.
Too bad. Strategy and political skill can overcome everything as did:
Benazir Bhutto
Chandrika Kumaratunga
Ellen Sirleaf-Johnson
Margaret Thatcher (conservative party- just ask her how easy it was to campaign in that party.

Tired:
Well Obama will never be one of THEM, that's for sure.
As for "forked tongue"..... when B O's not sticking it into porkbellies, he's "sticking it to" his followers!

I just checked and there is over five thousand not a few hundred.

Sure, and it could be 5 MILLION. The point is it won't make a bit of difference 5k, 10k, 20 million!..matters not the size of some crowd they bused in. The only thing it will do is drive a nail further into her coffin. The future she would have had is dead as hell. The Dems. are pissed and they will be out for revenge....if people thought the Clinton's were hated before, the new level of hate will be huge. Leaders and even ordinary citizens will get back at the Clinton's.....I wish she would run as an Indep. she WOULD STILL LOSE.

HIS choice! He took his name off the ballot because he knew he couldn't have won then,,, and had his phoners tell his followers to vote UNCOMMITTED!
It was also HIS COICE to break the rules in Florida by campaigning prior to the election. Forget the reasons....HE BROKE THE RULE! WHY SHOULD ONLY FLORIDA AND MICHIGAN BE PUNISHED.
AND WHAT ABOUT THE OTHER STATES WHICH BROKE THE DUMB DNC RULe.. THEY WEREN'T PUNISHED. W H Y N O T ???

I never understood the whole popular vote argument mainly because it doesnt include evry state. Not EVERY state calculates a popular vote count, so the argument is flawed. And Hilary's calculation of popular vote includes ZERO votes for Obama in MI.

Sarah, character? I KNOW you are not using that word in the same sentence as Hillary!! What kind of mother allows her one and only child to LIE to the public, without flinching, about that crap in Bosnia? And what kind of grown woman (Chelsea) would do that? This is the example we are sending to the world regarding the kinds of parents we are here in America? No wonder, the world must be saying, that our kids are running around with guns ...
Experience? Um, excuse me. Hillary saying she is experienced is just a way of saying "I am an expert in the ways of business as usual". DUHHH... that is what we are trying to get away from!!! And besides, hasn't it been the "experienced" leaders who have gotten us into the mess we are in?? Perhaps we need a novice in the White House (Black House?).

Seah, are you kidding? Has it occured to you that the world is tired of talking to people with "forked tongues" and perhaps would respond positively to someone like Obama? You figure it out. Or does 4,000 more dead young men and women not matter to you because YOU probably won't be one of them???

After looking at how she put her campaign in debt I can see why Hillary would definately be the one to fix the economy.

People,
I'm not sure why the Obama zombies, out in force today, are claiming that Clinton supporters are sore about today's outcome. I'm thrilled with the outcome. The Rules Committee officially sanctioned the 2+ million votes in Florida and Michigan, which puts Clinton in the lead. Clinton has had more officially recognized Democratic voters pull the lever for her than any other Democrat in history. Even without winning the nomination she has crushed the idea that there is a testosterone entitlement for a candidate to be seriously considered for the role of President. This entitlement syndrome has been demonstrated by both Democratic and Republican party for over two centuries so its about time. Obama gets an embarrassing asterik and will have to campaign going forward with a well-deserved albatross as the second choice of the majority, draped around his neck.

Hillary, the candidate of the Democratic majority!

"Dave S",
I've been posting here for several months and have endured non-stop insults from the Obama camp, never a persuasive argument as to their candidate's values, only insults. Along the way I realized that this is a recurring pattern. It finally occurred to me that the insults were not too persuasive and that only some kind of abuser or blind zombie would try to use insults to persuade another. If you are a Democrat you will agree with this no doubt!

Hillary's own words
"It's all about the delegates."

WestCoastMoron -

Obama ran a smart campaign, I give him that. He's still wrong. Clinton is the better candidate. It's a question of experience and character.

WestCoastMessenger caucases have taken place for a long time. Hillary doesn't do well in them so what do her and her supporters want? They want the rules changed.
Posted by: Shelost | May 31, 2008 9:19:19 PM
WCM, its not the popular vote that picks the Democratic candidate, or the Presidential candidate. Of the 17m HRC supporters, some will protest vote, sure, about as many voters as Barr will siphon off from McCain. Sore loser you are, and sadly misguided.
Posted by: Dave S | May 31, 2008 9:16:15 PM
You see WestCoastMessenger Hillary herself had said that it was all about the delegates. Then she fell behind and then behind even more. When the math became impossible is when Hillary started with the popular vote stuff. Pretty similar to when she agreed to the Michigan and Florida rules before she was behind and then demanded those rules she agreed to be eliminated. Hillary has zero class and zero dignity. It she did Hillary would know how to just lose while keeping those characteristics in tack. She will now try her best to paint Obama's nomination as being flawed while at the same time spout the hollow talk about party unity and backing up the other candidate. Hillary without a doubt is a person who had a sense of entitlement and then saw her world come crashing down.

Why did Obama* choose today to resign from his church. Why did he wait 19 months after racism reared its ugly head in that church. Obama*, politics as usual.
