Clinton Emails for Cash to Retire Debt, Manages to Mention Obama's Name Once

June 23, 2008 3:34 PM

In a video sent out to supporters this afternoon, Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-NY, praised her contributors effusively, then said: "Together we made history. And I will continue to work toward our common goal of building an America that respects and embraces the potential of every last one of us.  This goal is shared by our Democratic Party nominee, Sen. Barack Obama. And I look forward to campaigning with him across this great country of ours."

On Sunday, in her first public appearance since conceding the race, Clinton spoke to graduates of a prep school in the Bronx, and did not mention Obama by name.

Former President Bill Clinton spoke to the U.S. Conference of Mayors and only managed to mention Obama once, for supporting a program Clinton initiated as president.

Several of you stated that Obama doesn't need Hillary. Well, one question for you, if Obama doesn't need Hillary, then why is it that Obama, the DNC, and the MSM, including Mr. Tapper, feels that Hillary needs to campaign for him, rally her donors for him? Mr. Tapper states that she only managed to mention his name once. Why should she have to mention his name at all? The video wasn't meant for anyone but Hillary's supporters. If I were Hillary, I wouldn't campaign for him at all. The way he, his staff, his supporters, and the MSM have treated her, he doesn't deserve praise from her. I won't be giving Obama or the DNC a penny. From here on out, I will only support individual candidates. I will never again support a particular party. For years, I blindly supported the Democrat. Never again will I vote for someone because of their party affiliation. The individual has to earn and deserve my vote. Obama hasn't earned my vote. He has a lot of work to do if he wants me to vote for him in November.

I hope the clintons don't mention his name apparently the Obamas forget how they still trash her!
In the media or Obama supporters who seem to be a very offensive mouthed group, just read the blogs.Such hatred you would think they lost.He was handed the presumptive nomination by the DNC and The gang of 4 so whats the problem. we don't want her to be vp because no matter what they do they will be blamed for any shortcomings he has.

I am still amazed when I read the Obama comments to anything and everything that involves HRC. His supporters are the most intolerant groups I have come across in my 65 plus years. They will succeed only in making Clinton supporters steadfastly loyal to Sen. Clinton. Obama supporters like their leader, have a lot to learn and they might start with learning some social graces.

Ridiculous article. It was obvious that her video was mainly to help her with her debt. Who cares how many times she mentioned Obama's name. Though with 18 million supporters and her and her husband's personal wealth you would think she would pay her own vendors

AWWWH, the media is upset that their messiah is not being praised properly by the Clintons. I guess they want their help propping up the empty suit. Well, too bad. Hillary endorsed him, what more do you people want? You want her to wash his feet? Iron his shirt? Walk around praising him unconditionally like the media does? Please.

The amazing thing is, despite all the media shilling, Obama is still in a dead tie nationally with McCain. When he should be ahead comfortably. THAT ought to tell the liberals something.

I would be more than happy to donate monies to Hillary to help with her debt B U T I want to be able to do so with not one blessed penny going either to the mega millionaire B O or to his broken down party!

That party, by the wsy, was built by the Clintons.......and destroyed by Pelossi, double neck Dean and the other Pishakes.... including Mr Possum.... or was that a weasel.....

B O is indeed a new type of political pundit , coined in Chicago and sold to the democratic delegates , sold as the highest bidder for the price of his sense of democracy!

The only things not new about him are his lack of ideals and his old time political pandering.... s well as a certain bus under which are hidden momentoes of things gone awry>

Not to worry though, Jeremiah will be around right after primary time.... as will some of his other unsavory associates who have been sitting quietly on the sidelines awaiting the conclusion to Obama and his Drama, Act III.

If anyone out there has a solution to getting monies to Hillary while bypassing B O and the DNC, please let me know.

Thank you,

It's sad that she's in so much debt? Where were her loud mouth supporters when she needed donations? I guess they don't put their money where their mouth is.
They will vote for the other party out of spite, but they won't even properly fund their candidate. How sad is that.

no matter what YOU say bien, sen. clinton has done a lot of good for a lot of people in need.

the good she has done for this country is already written in history books, for generations to read later.

and the negative stuff you have written will just go with you.

You people are seriously insane.

Hillary reneged on every single promise she ever made.

She is a liar and a loser. She overspent more than any campaign on extravagant crap.

She is *only* looking after herself - and in this case her money.

Wake up, losers!!!!

Hillary would've lost too. no doubt . look at the shambles the republican party is in now. If Hillary were the nominee they would've been united for a common purpose.. to beat the clintons. Your candidate sucked... she was reinventing herself every week as someone new and lying through her teeth. She should be praising him because thats what he would be doing for her.

----------------------------------------
Obama lied and cheated his way through the primaries. And in case you havent noticed he still is...
Please he wouldnt be praising her, remember he said I have her supporters, she doesnt have mine.. I guess he is learning he doesnt have her supporters...

sen. clinton does not need obama, and his supporters know this, i don't know why the msm and the obama supporters cannot just let the clinton' be.

sen. clinton does not need obama. she can go on and do her good work just as always,
you clinton haters can keep on hating her and bill, but i know you will not be able to sell that hate to any of poor black and working class people who have been helped by the clinton's.

as for the msm, the clinton' are out of this election cycle now, so just leave them alone,
and to ann and her comments,

i wish geo, mccain, you and yours would just go to the front line in iraq. and then you would be rid of the clintons and all of the dems and they you.

Here we go. Because every other word spoken isn't Obama it's Bill and Hillary's fault if he dosen't get elected. Nothing like fueling the fire. I thought Obama didn't need Hillary or Bill.He said he didn't. He dosen't need Ohio either. So I'm out. I thought Bill went crazy? That's what they said on CNN.Why would we listen to some old crazy guy anyhow?

A vote for Obama is a vote against the traditional democratic party.

Posted by: Soetoro No! | Jun 23, 2008 5:55:56 PM

"last time I checked Obama is the Biggest Democratic Dog on the block."

"Dog" is just right -- that's why they call him Barky. But no Democratic Party gate in his/her right mind is gonna vote for him (assuming there really IS a convention).

Maybe they're just stringing him along so they don't get disappeared, like, you know, those guys in Chicago.

Obama -- just say no!

Posted by: Soetoro No! | Jun 23, 2008 5:54:00 PM

I think it was respectful for HRC not to use Obama in a short speech asking for contributions. I fail to see why there is an emphasis today about the Clintons not heaping effusive praise on Obama. It's turning into a redundant reading issue. Perhaps it's best getting over it.

Sorry Hillary - I will NOT support, Unite, or ever VOTE for the Arrogant, Radical FRAUD - obama. He is NOT qualified to lead our country. Hillary Clinton is the best candidate - but the DNC Gave it to the WEAK guy - BUT - the Millions of Hillary voters will UNITE with the Millions of GOP's to make sure obama will never STEAL the election.

Posted by: Molly | Jun 23, 2008 5:05:52 PM

Hillary who? zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Everyone knows she has about the same amount of chance in being Obama's esteemed VP as McCain has in becoming POTUS.

Slim to none.

As clever and analytical as Obama is, only cynics would predict ANOTHER WRONG analogy. Obama doesn't need Clinton. Clinton needs Obama. To the victor goes the spoils and last time I checked Obama is the Biggest Democratic Dog on the block.

OBAMA 08

Who cares if she mentions his name or not.Obviously she still can't accept the loss and maybe never will.I am interested to see how much financial support her beloved followers will donate, and free her from debt. She will need this in order to move forward with a clean slate in her political career. The DNC will take note of this as well.

Posted by: Greatgranhope | Jun 23, 2008 4:50:35 PM

No money for Obama if Hillary is not VP. If Hillary is not VP, vote McCain!!
