Clinton Vouches for Obama to Pro-Israel Lobby
June 04, 2008 11:21 AM
In a sign that Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-NY, is beginning to make peace with the notion that Sen. Barack Obama, D-Illinois, will be the Democratic presidential nominee, the former First Lady just vouched for her primary opponent to a group he has had some troubles wooing, Jews.
"I know Senator Obama will be a good friend to Israel," she told the pro-Israel group AIPAC, saying that she knows Obama understands the issue.
"And let me underscore that I believe we need a Democratic president in the White House," Clinton said.

Are the ones who are calling for unity forgetting the fact that Obama has divided the party? By being disrespectful, he has thrown many democratic supporters under the bus.

Democrats will be united for what? So we can prop up the most unelectable of all candidates. Remember we are Americans first and our allegience to the party is next.

REPUBLICANS: COME UP WITH REAL SOLUTIONS!!!!
If rumors of a "whitey tape" are all you have; Obama will simply waltz into the White House.

It has nothing to do with protecting.
When asked about the "bitter" comments Obama gave an explanation. Hillary jumped in basically labeling Obama as an elitiest for his comments. She could have said nothing. The moderator questioned Obama not Clinton.
When asked about Bill Ayers Clinton jumped in giving the nation a brief summarization on whom Bill Ayers is. She faulted Obama for serving on a charity board with him.
It goes on.
When asked about Bosnia. Obama gave her a pass and said everyone is entitled to make mistake now and then.
Obama has been extremely kind to the Clinton compared to dishes they've thrown at him. That's why he's the Democratic nominee. We're over that period where the only way to boost yourself is to lower others.

Why would the Repubs want to protect Obama by bringing out all the bad stuff now. Our news cycles are so small and limited. The best time is October. People will swing in the oposite direction and vote McCain especially if they are staying home and not voting. I for one have decided that my vote will be for McCain if Hillary is not on the ballot. Who wants hate spewing bots in the White House!

Oh, that tape is out there and its coming. Obama has a tendency not to bring things up until its out. No way can he wiggle out of this one. Wonder how fast he will throw ole Mitch under the bus. Wonder who else will be thrown!!!LOL!!!

angie - It makes Obama a hypocrite and a liar! He campaigned on the word "change" and defined it as no more lobbists.

Hillary, in light of all the support in Demo primaries from Republicans intent on derailing Obama's candidacy, would be a more appropriate running mate for John McCain.

Patty...I was listening to talk radio this morning and the rumor is the tape was supposed to drop today, but now I'm thinking...why now. Reps want Obama as the nom....they will wait until Oct. It envolves Farrakhan and Michelle and the word "whitey".
As the guy on the radio said.....Obama camp must know about this and why have they not issued a statement about nothing of the sort is out there?

Nobody could have protected Obama in the ABC debate! He has himself to blame for performing so poorly and for putting his foot into his mouth over and over again!
Posted by: voter | Jun 4, 2008 12:16:28 PM
Yep thats right!! Throw around the race card!!! The tape is jaw dropping!!! We will see who the real racists are!!! NOT THAT WE DONT ALREADY KNOW!!!!
GO HILLARY AND LETS ALL GET TOGETHER AND BRING THE OBAMAS DOWN!!!!

"she has always tried to protect him while he keeps throwing her under the bus"
You are clearly confused.
Watch the ABC debate and report back.

Dan your observations are spot on:
----------------------
"I guess that Hillary is going through her stages of grief from denial, to anger, to bargaining, and perhaps now to acceptance.
Perhaps Hillary has decided that indeed she wants the VP job and now may be more gracious."

megan hillarys there too whats your point??????
Posted by: angie | Jun 4, 2008 12:12:46 PM
Nobody buys it.
There is another story about Obama in the news. It is of him negotiating with the all the enemies of Israel. Just what kind of "friend" he will be is yet to be determined.

Hillary can vouch for Obama -- she has always tried to protect him while he keeps throwing her under the bus. This does not mean that he would make a good president leave alone a capable senator. My vote is still for McCain if Hillary is not the nominee. We do not want him and his hate spewing friends near the White House.
Posted by: voter | Jun 4, 2008 12:09:24 PM
LOL
Same people earlier were calling Hillary all kind of names.
Hillary is the best.
Still does not mean the voters want Obama.

The Democratic Party will be united.
This is just the beginning. We shall see more of this.
Thank you Senator Clinton.

A very good sign. Senator Clinton is a good politician and a good person. She will do the right thing to unite the party.
