Obama Florida Co-Chair Signs On to Bush Impeachment

June 10, 2008 10:57 PM

Congressman Robert Wexler, D-Fla. -- the Florida co-chair for the presidential campaign of Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill. -- today announced that he has signed on to support the Articles of Impeachment against President George W. Bush, introduced this week by Rep. Dennis Kucinich, D-Ohio.

"President Bush deliberately created a massive propaganda campaign to sell the war in Iraq to the American people and the charges detailed in this impeachment resolution indicate an unprecedented abuse of executive power," Wexler said. "A decision by Congress to pursue impeachment is not an option, it is a sworn duty. It is time for Congress to stand up and defend the Constitution against the blatant violations and illegalities of this Administration. Our Founding Fathers bestowed upon Congress the power of impeachment, and it is now time that we use it to defend the rule of law from this corrupt Administration."

Wexler previously ran a nationwide campaign to hold impeachment hearings for Vice President Dick Cheney.

Kucinich's 35 Articles of Impeachment include: "Article II -- Falsely, Systematically, and with Criminal Intent Conflating the Attacks of September 11, 2001, With Misrepresentation of Iraq as a Security Threat as Part of Fraudulent Justification for a War of Aggression; ... Article IX -- Failing to Provide Troops With Body Armor and Vehicle Armor; ... Article XXII -- Creating Secret Laws; ... Article XXX -- Misleading Congress and the American People in an Attempt to Destroy Medicare; ... Article XXXII -- Misleading Congress and the American People, Systematically Undermining Efforts to Address Global Climate Change."

And so on.

Obama last year expressed his opposition to impeaching Bush and Cheney. "I think you reserve impeachment for grave, grave breaches, and intentional breaches of the president's authority," he told USA Today "I believe if we began impeachment proceedings we will be engulfed in more of the politics that has made Washington dysfunction. We would once again, rather than attending to the people's business, be engaged in a tit-for-tat, back-and-forth, non-stop circus."

Obama spokesman Bill Burton says Obama's opinion on the matter remains the same, notwithstanding Wexler's support for Obama's campaign.

One of the biggest things overlooked in the Iraq debacle is that the US invaded a country run by the minority in the middle east called the Sunii to replace it with Hamaz and Hezbollah courtesy of Palestine and Iran are Shiite. Why oh why would anyone without an ulterior motive bring down Sunii to implement a Shiite terrorist gov't in Iraq? They had a perfectly fine infrastructure with a leader who is less of a threat than Pakistan's...
The only answer is STUPIDITY and PROFITEERING. The stupidity of it is the long term effect this greed will cause the US for many years.

Dave, you hit it right on the nail! The House voted 251-166 to send Rep. Kucinich's (D-OH) 35 articles of impeachment to the House Judiciary Commitee, which is chaired by Rep. John Conyers (D-MI). This is the same committee in which articles of impeachment against VP Cheney were sent last year.

You are also correct when you wrote: "The Democrats are afraid of the truth reaching the general public." The Democratic leadership knows that these articles of impeachment are bogus. They don't want the public to know how they duped the electorate in order to sweep control of both Houses. The Democrats ran on impeachment and being anti-war, and that energized the left wing of the Party. This was especially true in the Senate where there were several extremely close races all going for the Democrats. And considering the current makeup (Dem 49 Rep 49 Ind 2) without an energized left the Republicans would have easily maintained conrol of the Senate.

Impeachment hearings are now dead. Do you honestly believe that the Democrats in the House want to divert attention from their re-election campaigns? And then there is the media coverage. Do you honestly believe that the Democrats want the media spending the next several months covering impeachment hearings and effectively burying Sen. Obama's message of "hope" and "change?"

I just returned from a second tour in Iraq. You can all say what you want about Bush as I feel that one reson I was there is to give you that right. I do not agree that Bush has been a bad president. Its quit easy to talk but to make the decisions Bush has had to make takes more than talk The congressmen and or others who call for impeachment do this are not only wrong but they arn't very smart They are only after the votes and power, they really don't give a damn about the nation. People who elect these people over and over are no different. Go ahead and elect Obama and see what happens. All you liberal womem better get used to Burkas.
I guess you other liberals can all carry sticks and beat em when they get out of line. This makes about as much sense as what your saying.

Wow -- if Kucinich was so concerned about all this "wrongdoing" -- where has he been? What took him so long? Not very efficient for a Congressman! I think it's all politics, timed for the election and a bunch of the usual deomcratic hogwash!

Posted by: mzsally | Jun 12, 2008 12:17:46 AM

I think the Iraq war was a setup, and certain parties such as Cheney knew darn good and well what they were going to do, and when they were going to do it, and they arm-twisted Congress into signing off on whatever they wanted. I have my doubts as to what happened on 9/11, I think the whole thing stinks like corruption on a global scale, I think the wisest thing we could do at this point is put troops on boats/planes bound for the United States, and then have down ALL the sordid details, line by line, item by item, on C-SPAN, have Congress do whatever it needs to do to start issuing arrest warrants, freeze defense spending, and generally clean some house on the whole institution there, in a lasting and permanent way.

Posted by: Bert | Jun 11, 2008 11:31:29 PM

I hope the Republicians agree to the hearings. It will finally bring into the light all of this information. But I will bet as soon as the Republicans agree to the hearings the Democrats will pull the impeachment off the table. Like what happened in 2006 when they tried to impeach the VP. The Democrats are afraid of the truth reaching the general public. God knows every time someone tries to tell the truth they get shouted down or disrupted.

Wexler is an idiot and an embarassment
to South Florida. The sooner this fool shuts up the better. Obama deserves an idiot like him as his cochair. I still remember his rantings during the 2000 recount. I'm disgusted with the Democratic party and will be switching parties this fall.

do any of you REMEMBER that not only the US but other major countries said Iraq had WMD's., or do you all have amnesia. Seems like NO ONE REMEMBERS THOSE DAYS DO THEY. Does anyone remember 9-11???? How horrible of a day that was. How proud I am of our President for keeping us safe, because there have been many ATTACKS that have been STOPPED that we don't know about and that we don't need to know about. If Obama gets to be our President, GOD HELP US, because he seems to think (just like the rest of the liberals) that we don't have any ENEMIES and if we do, we need to appease them and talk to them. Those terrorist are LAUGHING IN OUR FACES everytime a McClellen opens his mouth or anyother lib. They are feeding into the hateful terrorists and hateful Americans that hate this country. GOD HELP OUR USA, because we are going to need it in the next Presidency if Obama takes over and our STOCK MARKET CRASHES. I have yet to hear anything meaningful and truthful come out of his mouth that isn't going to cost us MANY MANY TAXES on everything and anything that is provided to us. GOD HELP US.

Lets see: Anne you said in your idiotic response:

"Further note that Saddam never used such weapons against his "Own People" as the idiots in the press maintain, he used them against the Kurds which were people who came from Turkey and were trying to establish an autonomous nation in the north of Iraq.

Any national leader would have responded in similar fashion to an open invasion of their nation. It seems both the press, as well as readers of their foolishness, are incapable of noting the difference in spelling between "Kurd" and Iraqi", or comprehending that they are a totally different people.

By your reasoning should we mustard gas the millions of Mexican Illegal immigrants invading the USA ?? You are completely guilty of the accusations you make.

Why waste our taxpayer money when the damage has already been done. Everyone in America and the world (except those in intense denial) knows that Bush is a liar and a fraud who was led astray by Cheney!! End of an Error (1-20-09) will be here soon! Countdown anyone?

This is addressed to "Remember November"

You commit a grave error on several counts in your remarks. Repeated investigations by UN weapons inspectors, as well as our own military inspectors failed to find any so called "Weapons of Mass Destruction". Note that those inspections were made well before any allegations of foreign involvement in the removal of anything. Also note that those accusations remain pure speculation.

Furthermore the US knew exactly what weapons Saddam had because we provided them. The US supplied both the mustard gas as well as the helicopters to apply it, (in bold defiance of the Geneva convention).

The list of weapons supplied by the US is available on the net under the US Government site for anyone willing to look it up. Both Reagan and Bush Sr. authorized those grants because at the time Saddam was fighting the Iranian hoards for us in a proxy war.

Further note that Saddam never used such weapons against his "Own People" as the idiots in the press maintain, he used them against the Kurds which were people who came from Turkey and were trying to establish an autonomous nation in the north of Iraq.

Any national leader would have responded in similar fashion to an open invasion of their nation. It seems both the press, as well as readers of their foolishness, are incapable of noting the difference in spelling between "Kurd" and Iraqi", or comprehending that they are a totally different people.

Lastly, I submit that anything read in the press or seen on television be held as suspect until confirmed. Note that every year in congress there is a bill submitted which simply states that all government propaganda be so labeled, and each year it fails.

We then are shown this and that scene supposedly from a war front and believe it as real. Most of those scenes are total fabrications done in a studio.

Americans today are very gullible people with a pathetic ability to question what they are told. A vast change from the fiercely independent men and women who built and left us the greatest nation on earth.

The question asked in our national anthem is appropriate indeed!

Big...withdrawing our troops in an orderly manner is not abandioning our troops, it is getting them out of arms way. We went into this war trying to help the Iraqs get on their feet and support their own country. They have done nothing short of having elections, which were a fiasco, to fufil their part of the bargain.

--------------
You are a typical democrat. Never want to give credit where credit is due. Have you had your head in the sand? You need to listen up to the persons returning from Iraq that are telling of the great accompishments that we have help the Iraqi people achieve. Our nation by God is here and was established for a purpose for the past and future. That being to help give all people the God given right to be free and not oppressed. I would venture to say if you had been an Iraqi you would have praised the day american Men came to offer you a better life. No more cutting off limbs. cutting out tongues, raping your family members, killing you family for pleasure, strutting soldiers and leader that hated you and used you for their good. How can you be so stupid to say that that voting is all that has been accomplished in Iraq. The people can run their bussiness with out being beaten and robbed by the hateful goverment . The children can go to school and be with out fear of coming home and finding their mom and dad dead or worse. They now have the freedom to have things like cell phones and such that they were not allowed to have . Couldn't listen to the radio or television with out it being censored or forbidden. Stop listening to the democrats and get information for your self. Iraq is a better place to live and america can be proud for we have freed a people with the help of the almighty God. Do some research and teach yourself about the Iraq then and the Iraq now. Our president is an honorable man. He has made some mistakes but we all would have in his same position. Can't please everyone for we all have different ways of looking at things. So he does the best to his ability to to what he thinks is best and right. God Bless this man for that... We are there now on peace keeping and only help if called on by Iraqis. I am sure those times arise for the insurgents are persistant but getting fewer. We need to see this through and stand by them till they are able to go it alone. and they will , It is closer but nothing yet to set a time on for it is a hostile world there with Iran , Syria etc . as neighbors and being supported by Russia. They have tasted freedom and they choose to be free now. Please give credit where credit is due. Our president does not lead all alone. He answers to many. He is a good man and Will have his place in history as a Great Man with a vision to help give freedom to and oppressed nations of innocent people. I say Lead on MR, President for God is you guide.

REMEMBER NOVEMBER:

Australian Paul McGeough's article in the Sydney Morning Herald dated March 26, 2002, included the following:

"The $US500,000 doled out in this impoverished community yesterday means that the besieged Iraqi leader now has contributed more than $US10 million to grieving Palestinian families since the new intifada began 18 months ago."

$10 million in 18 months! Now that is supporting terrorism!

Power2people, and the Bush Administration NEVER said Iraq had anything to do with 9/11. When Tim Russert asked VP Cheney, "Do we have any evidence linking Saddam Hussein or Iraqis to this operation (9/11)?" Cheney immediately said, "No."

Posted by: James Danley | Jun 11, 2008 3:10:11 PM

Remember how Bush destroyed the "nation that was one" By waging war on a country that had absolueltey nothing to do with 911. He lied. His own Press secretary is now admitting to the lies and manipulation he engaged in. Impeached? Too late for that!He should be jailed... with Cheney... and Rumsfeld. He should pay back the $1trillion he used to pay for the war. Rove would have never allowed a Democrat to get away with what bush has. Throw him in Jail, throw away the key.

I remember reading in the papers how Saddaam was paying upwards of $30,000 to the families of the Palistinian suicide bombers to help them rebuild. Mr Ed Bradley on CBS reported on the existance of WMD's in Iraq prior to the war and later flip flopped accusing the Bush Administration of fabricating evidence.

Posted by: Gordon Francis | Jun 11, 2008 2:50:17 PM

Oh my dear GOD! You can not I repeat can not believe any thing you read in the papers. NOT THEN AND NOT NOW! You were Bamboozled and HOODWINKED!!

Posted by: REMEMBER NOVEMBER | Jun 11, 2008 2:55:53 PM

I agree totally with James Danley. That's exactly how the war in Iraq went down. There were also reports of huge convoys of trucks entering Syria from Iraq in the days leading up to the 2nd Gulf War. The news networks didn't find this worthy of coverage. Could this be how Sadaam got rid of his WMD? We know he had them. He used them against his own people as anyone who reads the headlines of that time can readily confirm!!! I would definitely equate those who deny Saddaam had WMD's to those who deny the Holocaust. These types of people get their information, it seems, from conspiracy theorists and not from factual news sources. Remember 911...remember how the nation was one.

Posted by: Gordon Francis | Jun 11, 2008 2:50:17 PM

Mary, our going into Iraq was NOT contingent solely on WMDs. In fact, as I mentioned early, it doesn't matter if there were no WMDs. The UN Security Council issued it final ultimatum in order to get Saddam Hussein to comply with ALL of the conditions of the 1991 cease fire. One of those conditions was for Saddam Hussein to PROVE he no longer had WMDs. He refused! President Bush issued his own ultimatum when the UN Security Council refused to follow through on its threat. When Saddam Hussein still refused to comply with ALL of the conditions, including PROVING that he no longer had WMDs, President Bush followed through on his threat.

If we hadn't gone into Iraq, we, and all of her neighbors, would still believe that Iraq had WMDs.

Another justification for going into Iraq was to oust Saddam Hussein who was harboring and supporting terrorists. Saddam allowed al Qaeda to have a training camp in northern Iraq. And he paid up to $25,000 to the families of Palestinian suicide bombers.

Posted by: James Danley | Jun 11, 2008 2:05:58 PM

The impeachment proceedures should have been started as soon as we definitely knew there were no WMDs in Iraq. That war was for the benefit of Cheny's $40 milliom in stock in Haliburtion and other stocks with Cos. that were given contracts plus oil stocks. So many death, pernament injuries, destruction and dollars spent for an artifical and irrational reason. VERY SAD INDEED.

N. Waff, you wrote: "...let's begin impeachment of all the members of Congress." Every member of the House and 1/3 of the Senate are up for re-election this November. Use your vote!!

Seems I remeber 99% of the senate and congress were aware of the same intelligence Bush had, and most of it came from the previous administration.
And when America did strike back at Afganistan, and later when the statue of Sadam came down, all of America was cheering..Now the pot calls the kettle black..Biggest flip-flop in history..

Don't you know the fix is in and has been for a long time for Obama. How many Senate races are there only one real candidate. How many unknown first year Senators run for office and win their parties nomination? They money men backing Obama know they are going to get BIG Payoffs once he's in. He's going to make Bush/Cheney payoffs look like chump change and Tony Rezko will get his pardon.

Posted by: RobY | Jun 11, 2008 1:02:35 PM

== Impeach all of Congress ==
Since the US Congress were all equally aware of the intelligence and supported the decisions of president Bush, let's begin impeachment of all the members of Congress.

Americans don't have the stomach to do the right or hard thing to protect this country... President Bush may suffer ill-reputation for keeping our country safe these past several years, but he chose to put the country ahead of his reputation or the whims/polls of political expediency. The Democrats, and our Congress in general, have much to learn from a man who had a 'backbone' in the face of global danger. The sandbox mentality won't work today--we can't just stay in our sandbox and expect that those playing with nukes and chemicals won't enter when they've shown their disregard for human life in general. Diplomacy without action is an oxymoron...President Bush used both and kept us safe. I believe this nation and its people could use some manners and respect when discussing the Commander in Chief-- whether they agree or not with his policies, he made difficult decisions to safeguard our country with no future political aspirations or motive.

Rasmussen Poll

Just checked Rasmussen Poll and Obama has 46% of votes compared to McCain 41% and people are so happy Obama is ahead in the poll.

That is only a 5% margin with a probably 3.5% margin of error.

Considering the unfavorability of the Republican Party, Obama should be leading McCain by 12% margin.

The More Citizens listen to Obama the lower his percentages go.

And strong arming Liberman was not a great move, it exposed Obama's Chicago tactics.

why don't we all just stop talking about sen. clinton, she has moved on,

they don't like her and don't want her around. she should just go back to her day job.

and we should stop talking about sen. clinton. she is out.

we should just all watch obama everyday

Diehards...lol

we are just the four left to hear the screamers in the empty room that everyone left because...it's done.

We just stick around to see the real "die hards"...screaming "revolution!" "revolt!"and "war!" in the high school auditorium as no one is really listening.

that'd be you.

A LOT OF PEOPLE IN THIS BLOG ARE AGAINST OBAMA ONLY A FEW 4 (dl, melissa, getreal, bhrandon) OF YOU ARE DIE HARDS. HILLARY WILL COME BACK.

Posted by: neil1785 | Jun 11, 2008 10:53:14 AM

and Neil mine are... I reference numbers...that anyone can go to sites and check

the numbers of dems voting in primaries to repubs

the number of people voting for Obama compared to everyone who voted for the entire republican party...compared to past ratios in past elections...

common statistics that show all primaries have similar defection numbers (even Billy Boy Clinton) after the primaries (only Bill's didn't change as fast as Obama's because the country wasn't faced with such a clear choice in dumb policies from McCain)

go look it up...

go to gallup...and Rasmussen and all the rest of the national polls...watch as Obama is still gaining...and this is with all the sore feelings of Clinton supporters still fresh.

once you start really using facts and numbers...then we all will take you seriously.

Neil,

You also stated the other day the Obama and Michelee had 230 points added to their SAT's, yet never provided the proof.

Your fingers are typing checks that your brain can't cash. LOL!

Enough of the BS. If you cant PROVE IT don't POST IT!

HILLARY WHO WAS KNOWN TO HAVE THE HIGHEST IQ

REally? Prove it! Show me the stats that PROVE HRC has the HIGHEST IQ of ALL the candidates.

Also, PROVE that Obama took Econ classes last year. I want the dates and the person who taught the class.

OBAMA IS A BONEHEAD AND SO ARE THE OBAMA SUPPORTERS ! I HAVE TOLD YOU SO MANY TIMES AND THESE COLLEGE BRATS STILL KEEP ON PRAISING THIS STUPID IDIOT. HE DOESN'T KNOW THE AMERICAN ECONOMY AND MORE SO OUR NATIONAL SECURITY AND FOREIGN POLICY. THE "DUMB"OCRATIC PARTY SHOULD HAVE CHOSEN HILLARY WHO WAS KNOWN TO HAVE THE HIGHEST IQ AMONG THE POLITICIANS. SHE KNOWS WHAT SHE'S SAYING. I HAVE BEEN HEARING SINCE THE 90'S THAT HILLARY WAS BEHIND THE SUCCESSFUL AND STRONGEST ECONOMY WE HAD IN THE 90'S AND I STRONGLY BELIEVE SHE KNOWS THAT SUBJECT BY HEART. GEEEEEEZZZZ. I JUST HOPE THAT THE DEMS WILL CHANGE THEIR MIND IN DENVER.

Obama has a lot of gimmicks in his bag of tricks to impress the fools. He has also a lot of traps to catch simpletons. People really want to be taken in, otherwise you can’t explain why they haven’t still noticed that this market-crier is telling only a lot a fairy-tales and tall stories and playing old tricks for gulls and dopes as e.g his talking about economy: only baloney and tommyrot; about economy he doesn’t know anything. He took last year only some private lessons about economy and that’s all. Even his teacher said he was very slow on the uptake. Economy is for hime a book with seven seals...taboo!!You must sometimes marvel at the extraordinary docility and credulity, with which American submit to deceptive and misleading speeches made by sly foxes and carpetbaggers.

spock

drilling now will help us in ...oh...20 years... the money companies will be spending on getting that oil should be on getting us off oil.

the drilling in the ocean may cost as much oil as it does get us oil...especially in the short term...

read the facts.

lets prioritize getting the pattens that all the oil and car companies bought up and the breakthroughs that we are now seeing all over the place forward and to market to get us off oil.

Drilling will not help us NOW...and later, you bet your a## that we better have gotten off oil...or we are going to be one sorry junkie of a country.

Neil, for once while you are even an inch ahead dont go there, if you really want to start getting into "mysterious deaths" the Clinton legacy has 40+ linked to theirs, including gunshots to the back of the head being ruled as a "suicide".

dl,

I KNOW MORE THAN YOU DO. I HAVE A LOT OF SOURCES...

i dont see it happening..
even if he has stumbled a few times so has hillary and we have all been threw the huge lists of them. what they would have to think is that none of her supporters would be willing to vote mccain, and with race being at least a part of even some of her votes and the thought that some of her votes were republican cross overs i dont think they would be confident enough to do it.. race wouldnt be a factor between hillary and mccain so those people might very well think mccain trashed hillary enough for them to switch and then the republican cross over they know they wont vote for her over mccain ...
and the problem with puma and others who refuse to back obama is how many of these people are "true" supporters and how many are not? how many people that voted for hillary would switch over to obama because we both know that not all of them are only about hillary and cant get over it not being her...

Posted by: melissa | Jun 11, 2008 10:28:04 AM

Neil what Obama has shown by the last week, his campaign and his words...

and if you listen to what he has actually said...

He has shown he is beyond competent ...especially considering he doesn't know "the game" like the other two.

and the polls and the bookies are showing that (you know 2 to 1 odds for Obama)...

so you are screaming in a room where most people went home already.

those of us still here are just watching in fascination at this point at the few people still screaming.

It doesn't matter now, it’s too late! Even if they did start the proceedings to Impeach Bush With all the bureaucratic red tape to slow the process down his term will run out anyway.

Posted by: Joe Reader | Jun 11, 2008 10:26:12 AM

Wexler is a waist of time, he should be impeached!!

Wexler who was against impeaching Clinton who lied under oath, used his position to bully people, threatened people and was accused of rape,
wants to try and impeach a President for following his oath of office in defending this country!!

Vote the Dems out now before it is too late!!

Drill Here!! Drill Now!!

Let me guess, you are one of those that are still saying she has 17 million "supporters", just because they "voted" for her does not mean they are die hard loyalist supporters, I would venture a guess that those die hard loyalists are about 10,000.

Posted by: Get Real | Jun 11, 2008 10:19:54 AM

the same thing was done to clinton was it not? over him having an affair on his wife? after his second term and near the end of it too? who started that impeachment?

Posted by: melissa | Jun 11, 2008 10:16:09 AM

This is so incredibly foolish. The way our economy is right now, Kucinich and Wexler would have the government waste millions of dollars on impeachment hearings, investigations, etc., when Bush only has 7 months left in office? The sheer stupidity of this is enormous. The constituents of Kucinish and Wexler should vote these bozo's out immediately. What an incredibly waste of time, money and energy. These men misrepresent what a member of Congress should be doing. It's hard to believe that the Democrats could get any more dimwitted.

Posted by: Kath | Jun 11, 2008 10:13:28 AM

Neil, you are so right they sure can, and in case you havent noticed ever since she suspended her campaign many of her pledged and superdelegate supporters have went to Obama, funny how exactly what all of her supporters keep asking for they are getting in reverse.

Posted by: Get Real | Jun 11, 2008 9:56:17 AM

This is too little too late. There isn't even time to impeach this lame duck president. It should have been done a long time ago when it was discovered the president was a war criminal and for his blatant disregard and incompetency during the Katrina aftermath. There was no effort to impeach him at that time because there wasn't enough support in Congress. While Congress primarily works for the lobbyists who pay their salaries, they would never fail to ignore public opinion if it demanded something, and so part of the blame can be placed on the media for its failure to provide honest coverage of this presidency. However, in the final analysis, the failures and crimes of the Bush administration are the fault of the American people who have become a complacent, ignorant, and corrupt citizenry that is reflected in our media and our government. We are a democracy after all. We have the power to change it. Just look: after 38 years of failed conservative rule, the upcoming election still appears too close to call. This is a disgrace. The problems in our once great country are with us and nobody else. Impeach the American voter!

Posted by: David Hughes | Jun 11, 2008 9:53:53 AM

Wexler is just trying to appease his base in Florida. Why wasn't he standing up for their votes? He's a snake.

Posted by: beebop | Jun 11, 2008 9:51:20 AM

Get Real,

SUPERDELEGATES MAY CHANGE THEIR MINDS AND THAT'S FOR REAL. IF OBAMA KEEPS ON COMMITTING STUPID MISTAKES AND UNTIL HE PUT SUBSTANCE TO HIS RHETORICS, HE WILL NEVER BE ELECTABLE AND WILL NEED TO BE REPLACED.

Posted by: neil1785 | Jun 11, 2008 9:50:49 AM

This is not the first time impeachment has been brought up, more like the 7th or 8th time and each time its more of the same, it just keeps getting swatted down and swept under the rug, why do these people seem to think if they continue to ignore the will of the people that the people will continue to elect them into office. And to the Hillary Mafia, enough already she LOST, its over, quit making every news story about her.

Posted by: Get Real | Jun 11, 2008 9:47:47 AM

McCain '08, interesting! But the poor already have health care. All they have to do is go to any number of free clinics or in an emergency to any ER. As for wanting to go to college, there are thousands of scholarships and grants that are available for the needy with good grades. All they have to do is study hard in high school, get good grades and then apply to at least two or three dozen scholarships and grants. And as for the top income earners, the top 25% of the nation's wage earners account for 86% of the total federal income tax revenue.

Posted by: James Danley | Jun 11, 2008 9:45:41 AM

so how does this look on mccain who still wants to wage the war?

Posted by: melissa | Jun 11, 2008 9:45:37 AM

A couple of posts referred to the Valerie Plame case as grounds for impeachment. Of all of the bogus claims, that is the most bogus! First of all, Joe Wilson outed his own wife long before anyone heard of Valerie Plame. His biography was published in Who's Who AND posted on the Middle East Institute website where it mentions his wife as "the former Valerie Plame." Second of all, the leaker was Richard Armitage, the former United States Deputy Secretary of State.

melissa,

I beleive they just want to get it on the record to make it easier for the next Congress to bring charges against all of them when they get out of office.

The report that came out the other day was the clear and convincing evidence that Bush admin. lied.

They had to wait until the 2nd report was released.
