Father Pfleger Bashed Clintons...Again

June 01, 2008 12:02 PM

Apparently last Sunday, Father Michael Pfleger -- the fiery liberal activist and longtime friend and associate of Sen. Barack Obama, D-Illinois -- gave another sermon mentioning the Clintons disparagingly, in addition to the one he gave at Obama's (now former) church.

At his own church, St. Sabina's, Pfleger said, "Hillary and McCain would wish they had a preacher with the integrity of Jeremiah Wright. … They got some old weak preacher…some old Joel Osteen cotton candy preacher."

Listen to it HERE. The comments come at about 15:40 into the sermon.

On March 2, Bill and Chelsea Clinton went to Joel Osteen's church in Houston.

That's not cool? Something wrong with Osteen?

The CLINTONS are the only ones who understand the economy of this country. We need urgently. Vote for Mrs. Clinton so we can have a better future.

BuddhaKat,

Excellent post...you got that right. I would have more respect for Obambi and his immoral and cowardly, appeasing positions if he would simply stick by his guns.

Obambi is dependent on the bobble-headed lemmings impressed with meaningless cliche' under the guise of change - bleating sheep that can't operate without the government's help.

And if the feckless MSM had a shred of honesty about them, they would not only admit that they are in the tank of the politically correct candidate, but that Obambi has had more gaffes in a month, including being so dumb he didn't even realize the states adjacent to his home state, than Dan Quayle had in his career.

Obambi is the coward's, the slacker's, the elderly hippy's, and the American hater's candidate. An empty suit and neo-pagan with a gift for the predilection of the irrelevant.

I'm sure Father Pfleger is so jealous of Joel Osteen that it's laughable.

He's got to steal his 15 minutes of fame by insulting and degrading the first viable female candidate for President while Osteen touches millions of people every Sunday by being gentle and kind.

Father Pfleger is a wanna-be and a racist, and he and Barack Obama go way back. For the last 20+ years of his life, Obama has just condoned and condoned these people and chosen to look the other way.

No there's nothing wrong with Osteen....but there is a whole lot wrong with this priest and the racist Rev Wright.

I think it is big news that Obama's pork barrel spending was directed to this guy.

I also think it's a shame that Obama was able to direct millions in earmarks to friends and family. He even sent money to the hospital his wife works at .....which resulted in her salary being quadtripled.

Jake

Wouldn't an ethical newsman think that's news? Don't you remember when you used to be a journalist?

Why do the candidates for national office think that because they back away from something in their history they're absolved from scrutiny? Aren't they accountable for the time they spent, or the actions they've taken?

It is truly rare to find a candidate from ANY party that will stand up and say "This is who I am and this is what I want to do?"

Am I the only one that notices our candidates alter their position(s) based on who they are standing in front of? HRC is by far the runaway leader using this tactic, with every single major candidate following suit. All of whom run their campaigns based on polling. HRC & Obama both want to overhaul NAFTA in one state, and laud it in the next because it's been beneficial to the local economy. None of these idiots, including McCain, seem to be able to state their position and stick to it to the bitter end.

I had more respect for Obama when he said he'd stick by Wright. I think he honestly believed it was the right thing to do. I don't believe for one second that he left two days ago because of philosophical differences. It was for political expediency and nothing else.

Success seems to go to the candidate who can patronize the best.

Telling the truth, good or bad, was the most admirable characteristic I found in Alan Keyes. His believes and positions didn't change with the wind. During a Republican debate the candidates were asked a question about a politically sensitive topic. I think it was gays in the military. Every single candidate spoke lots of words, but never answered the question. Then it was Amb. Keyes turn. He instantly gave a "no question about it" direct answer. He was opposed to it and wouldn't allow it during his watch. He knew that answer would make some people unhappy, but he also felt he had to be honest. It's unfortunate that none of us are willing to elect a candidate that will be honest with us. It is unforgivable that we don't hold our candidates to a higher standard.

There certainly are a great many Obama haters out there. I wonder, is it a coincidence that so many of them are illiterate... or is that part of God's plan?

Hillary is the peoples choice.
Obama can't win without her.

Posted by oregon: "How come Obama has yet to mention Hillary Clintons name in regards to the priest."

My guess is he was saving that part for the final act tomorrow when I expect he will deliver a speech tossing Pfleger under the bus and praising the Clintons.

Barack Obama ideas of a "UNITED AMERICA" were learned from the Trinity "UNITED" Church.

This is a true story of one’s desire to reach the
brass ring, the bitterness and clinging of one’s hope.

Its of a long and challenging journey to reach the summit
only to realize that you have lost your faith, hope and
religion!

Its high up on Bend over Backwards Don’t go There
Bigot Mountain, where even the angels dare to tread!

Its of faith gained and faith lost, and of one mans
obsession to throw it all away, and go to the darkside!

Will he keep throwing every one and everthing under the
bridge,or over the side, will hope prevail,or will he be
cast into the gapeing *pit of a black hole, where even
political light can not escape!
*(canopfor regrets the gapeing pit of a
black hole,and apologizes for any
likeness to an Astronomy phrase!)ha ha :)

Food for thought-
Obama STILL has NOT denounced his church, only resigned.

the only fools in the dem party with obama are the ones who brought him there
and helped him to fool the american voters

Posted by: for america | Jun 1, 2008 8:50:40 PM

GG: I disagree about the importance of race &/0r gender come November. The primacy of religion in US politics is regrettable at best. But, on the issue of energy independence, I'm with you. if Senator Obama can't stand up to the Democratic sacred cows of domestic oil drilling and nuclear power (combined with a clear vision for a Manhattan style project to develop the technology for sustainable energy independence), he does not deserve to win the election. We are in an economic war for our survival with backward nations who have only the power given them by oil in the ground and our laziness and incompetence. If Senator Obama really means to lead America to a better future he has to, first, fight his way through the fools in his own party.

In light of the comments at St. Sabina's will Catholic politicians exit their church.

THIS GUILT BY ASSOCIATION BUSINESS IS OLD AND WORN OUT.

REAL ISSUES WILL POWER THIS ELECTION.

If Repubs don't retool they will suffer Clinton's fate.

God....

How can anyone even consider voting for someone to be CiC who has long-standing associates with such America-hating crazies? Please....BO and his hateful wife should not be allowed to get anywhere near the WH.

let's see.....who is going to officiate at the WH Christmas party if BO gets in....Wright or Pfleger?

has anyone noticed whenever there is a story about obama and any of this people, his supporters start to attack jake.
and to adrien millet
who said jake are you scraping the bottom of the barrel?

maybe so,but that is where we find the people obama has been associating with.
if these people were so good, they would have been mainstream a long time ago. but no they are fringe sillies.
and obama has been hanging out with them for 20 years. and now all of a sudden because he threw the church under the bus, his brain and his childrens brains have been wiped clean,
and reprogramed.
you don't stay with something for 20 years unless you believe it, or at least tolerate it.

and obama should go and join joel osteens church.

Bottom line, not a chance in hell that Obama will be Presidnet
-------------------
That's all right, we're going to make Barack President of the USA. We'll leave the presiding over Hell to the other candidates.

Is this the same sermon where he embraced Farrkhan and called him "my brother"?

Or is this the sermon where he said whitey has to turn over all their assets to the blacks?
