On Bob Johnson Being a Clinton Emissary to Make Her VP

June 04, 2008 7:05 PM

Hillary Clinton supporter and BET founder Bob Johnson is a curious pick to be reaching out to rally support for Sen. Barack Obama to name Clinton to be his VP nominee.

Joked one key Obama supporter, "what, Geraldine Ferraro wasn't available?"

The mainstream media LIES. Hillary no more would be on that ticket with the Marxist thug than Rev Wright(of course Hussein would love that). The 18 million that voted for her in the primaries will stay home, vote McCain or write her in-he loses bigtime, McGovern all over again.

My family of 19 Floridian Reagan Democrats will be registered Republicans for the first time to hold our noses and vote JM in Nov. No to Obama. Obama, and the party leaders are sexists elitist and out of touch. Time to reject the Democratic party once and for all. We need another alternative to the misguided Republicans. GWB Jnr is the worst ever President in the History of the US. The man is an idiot and a moron. From one empty suit to ? another (BO, a racist sexist empty suit). Help Bloomberg and Dobbs. Save our country.

Geevill; love how you ignore McCain's gaffes.

MCCAIN DOESN'T EVEN KNOW THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN SUNNI AND SHI'A!!!!

God Help Us!!! That man must not get to the W.H.

From the sound of it, the Hillary women are loudly proclaiming here that they will NOT support the democratic ticket even if Hillary is the VP. Since this is the case, I think Hillary should not be named VP- why, when it is obvious that she can't bring along the women's vote? I think the HIllary women on these blogs accurately represent the near 18 million that voted for her, don't you?

That's okay Nicholas - every man/woman and his/her vote.

P.S. I am half Dutch, half French second generation American married to a Muslim man with a Muslim name.

Obama is not Muslim but even if he was - I can assure you there are honorable Muslims out there and they do not eat Americans!

Really BJ? How about German Chancellor Angela Merkel who actually leads a nation?

(And a mighty good campaigner too - Hillary should have taken notes).

I will never vote for Hussein Obama
even if Hillary is VP.

Posted by: Nicholas | Jun 4, 2008 9:06:54 PM

Hillary does not want the VP spot. She is the most powerful woman in the world.

SORRY ANDREA, THAT WON'T HAPPEN according to the New York Times:

"Mrs. Clinton’s aides said she would “express her support for Senator Obama and party unity” at an event in Washington that day. One adviser said that Mrs. Clinton would concede defeat, congratulate Mr. Obama and proclaim him the party’s nominee, while pledging to do what was needed to assure his victory."

Run as an independent?

The lady is broke and in debt!!!! How will she fund her campaign? With straw?

I'll bet Obama's church pounced up and down in the night when Obama gave his speech..

Level of debate here by some is too bigoted for me to say what I came here to say...

Posted by: Diana | Jun 4, 2008 8:49:57 PM

Hillary stood above the crowd last night.

Posted by: Anders Scooper | Jun 4, 2008 8:45:16 PM

Come on only weirdos and the typical black man voted so far for Obama

Posted by: as way | Jun 4, 2008 8:44:21 PM

Ironic that George Bush could recognize the achievement of Obama, but not Hillary.

She would not be a good running mate, it would be all about her.

Posted by: Thinking | Jun 4, 2008 8:43:05 PM

anders scooper

first you are a tool

secondly hillary was seen as disingenuous by not looking at the historical events of last night, that was a huge mistake on her part, if the bush and condelezza rice and john mccain congratulate before you its a mistake, she should have acknowledged it and in no way did she have to concede but she looked cold and inhuman by not at least having the acknowledgment

thirdly michelle obama has a pretty good stylist

Posted by: bhrandon | Jun 4, 2008 8:41:03 PM

If Hillary wants VP it is hers .

Posted by: Anders Scooper | Jun 4, 2008 8:40:42 PM

Hillary is a fighter and Obama is only a talker.

Posted by: Anders Scooper | Jun 4, 2008 8:39:10 PM

i dont think he will offer it to her, you dont try to extort a presidential nominee

last night she basically said i have my voters i need something

if its hte vp spot obama wont give it to her. He has a better idea on what she should be and i think youll see her play a prominent roll,

one that keeps her as an independent politician and not under thumb as the vie president is.

she wants to be great and vice presidency isnt that spot
