Stir of Echoes

June 14, 2008 9:59 AM

Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-NY, may still be vacationing at Oscar de la Renta's, or wherever, but the reverberations from her erstwhile campaign continue.

In GQ, her senior adviser, the much maligned Mark Penn, gives one more interview on his post-campaign rehabilitation tour. Read it HERE.

And -- recalling the Japanese soldier "holdouts" found in the islands of the Philippines years after World War II ended -- a Million Woman March on Denver for the Democratic Convention in August on behalf of Clinton is being planned.

A suggested keynote speaker: the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports that Debra Bartoshevich, a Clinton delegate to the Democratic National Convention, says she will vote for Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., in November.

“I’m sure people are going to be upset with me,” the 41-year-old emergency room nurse says. And how! Apparently the state Democratic Party convention unanimously passed a resolution asking the DNC not to seat Bartoshevich at the convention.

“I just feel you need to have somebody who has experience with foreign matters," says Bartoshevich.

For his part, Bill Clinton popped up in Torrance, Calif., this week to speak at the 8th grade graduation of his nephew, after which he popped in on the American Film Institute's tribute to Warren Beatty.

Debra Bartoshevich, a Clinton delegate to the Democratic National Convention, says she will vote for Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., in November because we need someone with JUDGEMENT and EXPERIENCE.

What judgement and experience?
Many Americans died or were horrifically maimed in Iraq for the McCain promotion of this war. Where is his understanding, and remorse for his actions. NONE!

McCain exploits and hopes to prevent a new generation, a new mindset to deal with the world politically, economically, and culturally.

He creates a trivial, stupid campaign to distract, destroy, and continue the war-mongering selfish person that perhaps he always was.

Roger Clinton pulled himself together?

Or is this one of Hillary's brother's children?

Way to go...

Congratulations child born to a political family AND an extraordinarily nosy public!

Clinton has said she will do
her utmost to unify the party.

She can do so by staying
out of the country until after
the general election.

Obama has to many unanswered questions to many questionable friends/associates to many flip-flops on the issues.
This is a quote from Obama's own lips “If They Bring A Knife To The Fight, We Bring A Gun,” “Because From What I Understand, Folks In Philly Like A Good Brawl". Obama said at a fund-raiser in Philadelphia, With the violence in this country this is not something that should come out of the mouth of a presidental candidate, And this is only one of the many foot in the mouth comments to come accross his lips and no one notices or pretends to not notice.

ADD ANOTHER NAME TO THE 18 MILLION VOICES MARCH!

It really doesn't matter who is seated or who is not, I will campaign against Obama. If there is any truth to Chicago instead of Denver, it's alot closer. If not Hillary, then McCain.

I was actually considering voting for Obama if Hillary didn't win the primary, so i turned on th tv to see what the news was reporting one day. And every msm channel was downing Hillary and her supporters, had nothing good to say about her, on the other hand i heard nothing but praise for Obama and his supporters which really irritated me because Hillary has done so much for this country. So i decided to do research online and the more research i did the more i realized Obama has to many unanswered questions to many questionable friends/associates to many flip-flops on the issues. And the one thing that made my mind up is this quote from Obama's own lips “If They Bring A Knife To The Fight, We Bring A Gun,” Obama said at a fund-raiser in Philadelphia, “Because from what I understand, folks in Philly like a good brawl. Excuse me , But this is not something that should come out of the mouth of a presidental candidate or any other elected official.

"But NOOO, you want to send a message to Howard Dean, to the sexist media, and stupid people on the internet."

Precisely.

"How about health care?"

How ABOUT health care? Like every OTHER member of Congress, this shape-shifting phony has publicly-paid LIFEtime healthcare for himself and his family.

For a REAL thrill -- and some comic relief -- go over to politico dot com and read Golden Boy's speech for Father's Day, in which he channels Bill Cosby on "responsibility" for black men without income.

Watching Obama re-state/explain/renounce this Goldilocks vision as he panders to "gays" -- and patches things up with in the 'hood -- should be painfully amusing for the Democratic "leadership".

First:

Okay, a Clinton supporter should never cite the words "fooling around" in the context of criticism. Guess you never voted for Bill in that case.

Second:

This is HOW you base your political views or vote? How about the economy? How about health care? How about an energy plan? How about employment? How about education? Does any of this matter to you?

I'm a HILLARY SUPPORTER who will vote for Barack Obama in November. I for the life of me can't understand a Hillary supporter who would dream of voting for John McCain. He was never a champion of anything, has no health care plan, he never did a thing for Arizona, he's wants to run up our war tab, (and dead soldier count), and Hillary has forever championed that he'd continue four more years of Bush. Oh, and the 4-5 Supreme Court noms that'd be coming up making for hostile grounds with a dem congress.

But NOOO, you want to send a message to Howard Dean, to the sexist media, and stupid people on the internet. Rally at the convention with a homemade poster. This your logic, GEEZ, HILLARY WOULDN'T GIVE YOU THE TIME OF DAY.

"He revisited themes he has touched on before"??

Well, he fooled around some more with the timeline on his own absent mother, who abandoned him while she found another "husband" . . .

Enough with the wailing.

The primaries were fair.

The candidate who NEVER UNDERESTIMATED THE COMPETITION WON.

Move on.

We should not expect favours as women.

It was a good speech on absentee fathers in the AA Community. He revisited themes he has touched on before.

Your mockery "Mommie Dearest" cannot take that away from his poignant message.

It is EXACTLY about fascism.

Is the Obama move to cancel the convention in favor of a non-voting coronation event in Chicago still in the talking stages -- or is it a done deal?

When this kind of electoral "change" was done in Germany, in the 1930s, it ended up in a World War, the eradication of irreplaceable architecture, ethnic cleansing, and all kinds of mishegas.

We REMEMBER -- from 1968 -- what happens to Democratic dissidents who take to the streets of Chicago. Presumably that's why Obama's moved the DNC there.

I hope the million women march gets more people than the protest of the Democratic RBC. They promised 100,000, and got 500. These women need to be using that travel money to help Hillary Clinton retire her 30 million dollar debt.

Most of us lifelong Democrats who are defecting en masse from "our Party" have no illusions about the obvious drawbacks of a John McCain Presidency, when it comes to our core beliefs. This is nothing less than a voter revolt. Should we stand idly by as our most basic constitutional rights are stripped from us by our own in nothing less than a coup? And now rumor has it that Clinton's name will not be placed on the first ballot. Wake up! This isn't about winning or losing. This is about fascism.

If the leftover and brand new Party members are so concerned about what would be further lost with four more years of Repub rule, let them fight that agenda themselves. They should have considered their base and The Issues, which frankly Obama has no concern for nor record of supporting, before shoving him down our throats. They will not succeed, because Country and Constitution trump Party, brand, and bully tactics.

I will be marching in Denver! I have my housing set up and just recruited 3 more marchers. I have also changed from Democrat to Independent due to the complete misbehavior of the DNC-Obama primary campaign. I have had enough with Dean, Pelosi, et al making decisions for us. I am utterly shocked by the DNC's tolerance and excuses for Obama's racist church membership and terrorist associations. I have been a fool for the DNC too long! PUMA - Operation Turndown - If not Hillary then McCain!

Posted by: B positive | Jun 15, 2008 1:41:41 PM

Now that Senator Obama has been selected the Democratic nominee, the party is moving backwards. How many million people have changed or will change from being a Democrat to a Independent or Republican. In fact, Obama's political stance is not moderate Democratat but socialist/marxism/communism and racist. Obama will not bring America forward but backward and more divided.
I applaud all those who will be going to Denver to support Senator Clinton.

A McCain administration is nothing less than four more years of George Bush economics.
He wants to privatize Social Security and refused to acknowledge the home mortgage crisis until it spiraled out of control.

You really have to work hard to have a tax plan that is more tilted to the wealthy than President Bush’s tax plan, but somehow John McCain has figured out a way to do it.
