Stir of Echoes
June 14, 2008 9:59 AM
Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-NY, may still be vacationing at Oscar de la Renta's, or wherever, but the reverberations from her erstwhile campaign continue.
In GQ, her senior adviser, the much maligned Mark Penn, gives one more interview on his post-campaign rehabilitation tour. Read it HERE.
And -- recalling the Japanese soldier "holdouts" found in the islands of the Philippines years after World War II ended -- a Million Woman March on Denver for the Democratic Convention in August on behalf of Clinton is being planned.
A suggested keynote speaker: the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports that Debra Bartoshevich, a Clinton delegate to the Democratic National Convention, says she will vote for Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., in November.
“I’m sure people are going to be upset with me,” the 41-year-old emergency room nurse says. And how! Apparently the state Democratic Party convention unanimously passed a resolution asking the DNC not to seat Bartoshevich at the convention.
“I just feel you need to have somebody who has experience with foreign matters," says Bartoshevich.
For his part, Bill Clinton popped up in Torrance, Calif., this week to speak at the 8th grade graduation of his nephew, after which he popped in on the American Film Institute's tribute to Warren Beatty.

“I’m going to be honest. I know a lot less about economics than I do about military and foreign policy. I still need to be educated.”

as an american citizen who has always voted for the dem. party, i just watched on cspan , mike duncan talking about the election.
and after watching this, (it is scary, the reps. are scary)
so thank you very much howard dean, and the dnc, with what you have done, you have just handed on a silver platter the presidency to a bunch of scary people.
but in the cold light of day the one thing he said that was true is
(Mike Duncan,RNC) "It is clear and becoming clearer everyday, Barack Obama is not ready to be President., and we will continue to expose that to the american people,-he is not ready, and
we plan before nov. the american people will see just how much he is NOT ready"
it is clear the MAIN GOAL of the dnc, with the help of the msm was to
BEAT SEN CLINTON.
and in that goal, the dems WILL lose the GE, because in spite of the sad things that the rep. are saying, the one thing that they had right, and everyone else in their heart of hearts knows is that Barack obama is not ready to be president.
(Obama should have jumped at the chance to have the 10 debates with mccain-ESPECIALLY after the last time we saw him in a debate he did not do so well-but instead he chose what i guess is the safe thing for him to do-i call it cowardly-and only have one or two debates.
do any of you remember after obama did so bad with sen. clinton-she said lets have another debate-he said no.
and then said in a real BOLD way-"I will debate john mccain any place, any time, any where"-so what happened with that?-
obama is all fluff-and the people who voted for him are so happy he beat sen. clinton-they are not seeing, or are refusing to see, what a weak candidate he is. he only beat sen. clinton because he had help from the msm, and the dnc.
they knew he could not be her on the issues, none of them could.

Why should Hillary's be less valued than B O's ?

I am so tired of you Hillary supporters. Obama is the nominee so get over it and let's move forward.

Sooo . . . is Howard Dean REALLY standing by while the Anointed One CANCELS the Democratic Convention?
Obama's having moved the DNC to the democratic paradise of Chicago AND merged it with the Obama campaign BEFORE becoming the nominee is Stalinesque enough -- though it's probably one way to get away from John Kerry -- but are Democrats REALLY going to stand for privatizing the convention, with only a coronation ceremony to be held?
The LAST time the Democrats convened in Chicago didn't work out that well.

I'm another Hillary Clinton supporter who will never support or vote for Obama, particularly after the "lovely" things his supporters have to say about our candidate and her husband as well as we Clinton supporters.
I don't know of anyone who has ever won an opponent over to their point of view by insulting them and threatening them - except perhaps in a "totalitarian state." And that's exactly what some Obama supporters and certain leaders of the "democratic?" party seem to really want - for us to follow behind their choice like "mindless robots."
I have news for them. Many of we Clinton supporters will only support and vote for Obama "when hell freezes over"
( and "hell freezing over" doesn't seem likely in the foreseeable future with our problems with "global warming.")

We do not want any proponent against democracy to be anywhere in leadership position.
We will preserve 1 American citizen = 1 vote, above everything else. Citizen in every one of the 50 US states must have equal voice.
DEMOCRACY, FIRST, and ALWAYS!!
Do NOT violate democracy.

Sorry Cindy, many Obama supporters are baby boomers like myself. We are very protective of the Supreme Court. We don't want it turning conservative for our children and their children.

To Obama's core voters--we know you just got out of school for summer vacation.
You're feeling frisky and free. But you don't need to be rude or upset that many Hillary supporters are voting for McCain.
We just came to our senses like everyone said we would.
Have a great summer break!

where have you gone or are you just enjoying the entertainment.

Rodney:
You are dissing the best president this country has had in the last half century and one of the brightest
strongest women we have in this country not on the basis of his or her scores as LEADERS but on a republican ploy which cost this country a lot of dough to find him innocent.
You are also dissing the economic growth he brought to our country!
But no problem; I can understand why someone like YOU would be willing to settle for a questionable character who has cheated his way through every election in which he's run.... and who serves as a magnet for an overlarge variety of unsavory sons of a gun with questionable patriotism.
Be careful of the change he promises!
Make sure some of it will stay in your pocket.

The witch hunt continues. Now women who dare to express themselves in a march in Denver, in order to make their voices heard in the finest American tradition, are crazy fascist Japanese soldiers. Would the main stream media dare insult any other group of Americans in this way? I am disgusted.

Hey Davis,
Have you told double-talk Dean that two-faced B O is now the head of the party?
Wait; Videotape it; we all want to hear and see it for ourselves!

Davis,
She was the better candidate so it wouldn't have been hard to line up behind her if she would have gotten the nomination. There is no comparison.
