Pastors and evangelicals live
in an irrational and illogical
world of their own.

Redacted, I have no problem with McCain releasing his birth certificate too, since the left raised questions about his meeting the citizenship test for the presidency. Let's see both his and Obama's. If either is ineligible (or both) kick him (them) out of the contest now while there's still time to get replacement candidates.

Wonder if God is happy with all the hate and intolerance being taught in the church Obama attended for 20 years.

I used to belong to a mega evangelical church and at election time, they would hand out materials showing the candidate's views on one single issue: abortion. It was to let you know who to vote for, i.e. all those who were pro-life.
But after 8 years of having a born-again Christian in the White House, evangelicals are seeing that voting on one issue no longer fits. They are realizing that Jesus' gospel message pertained to many social issues, especially poverty. McCain's tax cuts for the rich won't fly with them.

I am just amused how much Obama is getting away with the media. Remember how much they made fun of Bush when he mentioned "Christ" as being the most influential philosopher for him....
Obama has cited more Bible mambo jambo and no one challenges him...
I just don't get it and I am glad I have not had that Obama Kool aid!!

The vast majority of the evangelical "mega" and "storefront churches are made up at best by some guy with a divinity degree.
They belong to no organized religious entity so that the pastor's view is basically his own interpretation of the Bible.
The vast majority of the evangelical churches are "religion according to Bob" as in religion according to Pastor Bob and virtually nobody else. That is why with many of these churches the heir is the son or daughter of the founding Pastor--nobody else believes the Bible as "Bob" did or Bob wants to keep the money in the family.
*Again Bob is a generic name I inserted and does not mean Bob from AccountTemps or Enzite (sp?).

Polls don't tell the story, JMC. So far during this season, they've been unreliable in the extreme. Also, we are seeing the post-primary bump kick in. The season is just starting.
But it is obvious that the level of agitation among the early-adopters of Obama is becoming quite notieable. I sat at lunch with one last weekend and it was like watching an early onset of a nervous breakdown. The expectation anger is too near the surface.
You guys need to chill. From now to November is an eternity in political time.

The biggest boost that the Obama campaign can get in its bid for independent voters is attacks from fruitcake right-wingers like Dobson.
McCain needs to move toward the middle, particularly on woman’s issues including abortion, and move away from rightwing pseudo religious hateful clowns.

len,
Dream on, buddy!! Obama is up double digits in another poll.
He is gaining momentum each and every day!

Another side show or snide show for Obama. Meanwhile McCain is fast becoming the progressive candidate by speaking to issues.
It's very early in the season for the level of political fatigue we are already seeing. Usually it takes until October for the natives to become this numb. At the same time, the Obama supporters are becoming more noticeably agitated and easily riled. That is a bad sign for his campaign unless he can toss his early extremist support under the bus fast.

Does Dr. Dobson receive any money from the infamous "swift boat" folks?
WHO CARES. OBAMA SAYS DONATING MONEY IS GOOD

I saw this last night on ABC. I agreed with everything Obama said.

Obama says anything to gain a vote.
In november,republicans will establish
him as a left wing liberal and a
flip/flapper......end of the story.

Dr. Dobson's comments of "Fruitcake" code words for Obama's H........L. Uhmmmvery interesting. Why is MSM advoiding this issue? Americans have every right to have all candidates vetted/ Internet is the true new wave of the future regarding real investigative reporting!

Does Dr. Dobson receive any money from the infamous "swift boat" folks? Anyone could interpret any ones words to fit their agenda; Dr. Dobson is just another guy with his opinion - I take it with a grain of salt. I can't wait for all the "junk" what will come out about Obama between now and the election.

dobson and obama, they're twins!
Both are egomaniacs who'll lie anytime.
(only one will sacrifice his grandmother though)

Religion convinced the world that there's an invisible man in the sky who watches everything you do. And there's 10 things he doesn't want you to do or else you'll go to a burning place with a lake of fire until the end of eternity. But he loves you! ...And he needs money! He's all powerful, but he can't handle money!

He just helped Obama....now all those Christian's know he is not a muslim like the republicians like to paint him as in their SMEAR CAMPAIGNS (I know that's all they know how to do is SMEAR and LIE)....Plus it really helps those that are not religious, that he won't bring in religion with politics.

Dobson is suppose to be a Christian. He needs to walk the walk and stay away from the name calling.
I think there should be separation of church and state.
