Leggo My Ego

July 30, 2008 12:59 PM

The Republican National Committee launched another website attacking Sen. Barack Obama, D-Illinois, today, this one poking fun at the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee's perceived Herculean self-regard.

Interestingly, while other Republicans whine about a press corps that is allegedly in the tank for Obama, the RNC's new website -- "Obama Audacity Watch"  -- uses myriad press clips from the major networks and other media organizations to prove their point that the lanky Illinoisan who seeks to control the Western World has a big ego.

Examples of the presumptive's presumptuousness include Obama's mock presidential seal, replacing the American flag on the tail wing of his plane with an enormous Obama "O," his use of a video of his Berlin rally to help raise campaign cash, his curious projection that he would be president for "eight to ten years," and other examples.

"Barack Obama is a spiritual leader. The world needs spiritual light, and it is throgh the soul that problems will be solved. This is true for both individuals and nations. Obama can become a very good channel for spiritual light..."
Seriously, this is from a post on Obama's own website!!! How can you reason with this? He believes he is the Messiah, and fools all over believe it too!!
By the way, where's Obama's birth certificate? No, not the Photoshop fake posted online, the real paper copy we've never seen!! Oh, right, he sprung up from a volcano in Hawaii, riding a unicorn, that's why there's no birth certificate...

It's been obvious since the debate with Clinton that the ego and presumption would be Obama's achilles heel. His tapping Edwards on the shoulder condescendingly spoke volumes about the weakness in his character.

If his handlers weren't prepared for this, they were blind. McCain's campaign is getting the distance right now and beginning to turn the internet tricks on their heads. The problem of flamboyance and 'rock star status' is the ease with which it can be lampooned.

Remember this is a country that thrives on Entertainment tonight.

Talk about a BIG EGO... OMG... Put McCains and Bush on that list first. McCain..I am right about this and that and this and that. And all along what he is suppose to right about turns out to be a lie. Just like Bush!

The greedy republicans are Toast. They are about to lose another Senator. The Alaska Republican, Stevens, was charged Tuesday with scheming to conceal thousands of dollars worth of gifts from a major employer in his state, a company on whose behalf he sometimes intervened in Washington. He goes on trial tomorrow. This will only add to the democrats advantage this fall.

I like this one:
“I’m surprised at how finely calibrated every single word was measured. I wasn’t saying anything I hadn’t said before, that I didn’t say a year ago or when I was a United States senator,” said Obama, who is still a senator from Illinois. (“Obama ‘puzzled’ by Iraq comment frenzy,” Reuters, July 5, 2008)

Can someone just wake me when the election is over?

This has been the longest presidential campaign in the history of the world, and I cannot believe that we have 100 days more + 400 million in Barack Obama TV advertising to endure before its over, and the perennial hopefuls can begin campaigning for 2012.

I just can’t absorb any more, I made up my mind months ago, just please let it end soon.

I'm sorry

Reagan

Kennedy

Clinton

Bush Jr.

don't you kind of HAVE to have an ego...

and doesn't EVERYBODY already know that?

so who cares...

it's about who can lead...
seems to me Obama does a pretty good job being down to earth when the world is stepping up and screaming for America to pick him as President.

Are you kidding...I'd have an ego.

The funny thing is where does Hannity and Rush's ego come from? lol

"I wish to thank the Republican party for their nomination and now I'd like to present my pick for VP, Ted Stevens, the former Senator from Alaska.
He's already in an undisclosed location.

A legend in his own presumptuous mind! You can't get your arm around his ego to even leggo of it! Obama thinks all of America's hopes, dreams, aspirations are rolled up in one man - him! Pray God that the saying 'Pride cometh before a fall' is a true one!
