Obama Camp Plays the "Angry" Card
July 25, 2008 5:49 PM
GOP Sen. John McCain's temper has long been the subject of criticism from both Republicans and Democrats, but until today the campaign of Sen. Barack Obama, D-Illinois, does not appear to have referred to it in any way.
On June 11, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev, flatly told MSNBC's Norah O’Donnell that the presumptive GOP presidential nominee “doesn’t have the temperament to be the president of the United States. Everyone who’s ever worked with John McCain knows of his temper. It’s explosive to say the least.”
Today before the American GI Forum, McCain criticized Obama on the war in Iraq. McCain said Obama told Americans "what they wanted to hear" on Iraq, whereas he "told you the truth."
In response, Obama spox Bill Burton said “The American people are looking for a serious debate about the way forward in Iraq and Afghanistan, and angry, false accusations will do nothing to accomplish that goal."
Burton says he wasn't calling McCain "angry," but rather his accusation. What say you?

Why should Obama attend a "Town Hall Meeting" with McCain? Would McCain, if the scenario were reversed? Of course not. That would be capitulating to one's opponent. That's politics, kids. I'm really looking forward to the debates, though. Obama is an excellent debater, articulate as hell, and McCain ... well, not so much. People have been posting comments that Obama can't speak without a teleprompter. You crazy? The guy's got a gift!
And he's not a "smooth talker", it's just that he has a command of the language that comes from intelligence and education. That's something many Americans aren't used to or respect. But that's their failing, not his. We're a nation of dumbasses. Electing Bush to 2 terms is proof.

Bill Burton calling someone else "angry"?
That's hilarious!
Every time you read about Bill Burton, it's usually because he flipped out on someone.

Dr.Hubert--------re.german police removing protesters}-than there is allways the problem of mentally unstable people{we have plenty here too}and don't forget that german police and interpol have caugth more of the REAl terroristthan we have.

Dr.Hubert---you are totally unbelievable-your stated credentials do not support your diatribe against Obama.Any person as educated as you claim to be would not mindlessly repeat that line about the german police "hiding/removing protesters in Berlin".They probably had to get them out of the way so they would'nt get trampled by the 200 hundred thousand who where happy to see an intelligent

The Republicans are swinging blindly at the moment; John McCain can feel his supposed foreign policy advantage fading away.
Really a couple of disgraceful, offensive comments to close out the week from McCain, along with a bunch of major gaffes in his area of supposed strength.

Childish and clumsy attempts by Obama's party to goad McCain into retaliation to labeling him as "angry" are silly and desperate. The clear differences between a shallow, though eloquent, Obama and a mature, realistic and focused McCain are apparent to an unbiased observer. The choice is clear: be charmed by Obama's "inspiration", or be assured by McCain's stature, record and understanding.

The statements made by McCain and his surrogates have been sounding very petty, mean-spirited and, frankly, desperate. I do not believe that McCain and his "team" have the temperament to run our country. Their apparent need to put down or invent arguments for every report on Obama's trip demonstrates their small-mindedness. It's BUSH-ROVE all over again. First they taunt Obama about needing to visit foreign countries, then they cry "foul" when he does. It's that yapping cartoon chihuahua syndrome. It seems the rest of the world is ready to move on as well!

Remember, O'Bamma would not have bothered going to the Middle East if there were not a political benefit to doing so. His greatest risk was not that he might make a gaffe (his handlers are much more careful not to let him off the leash for any off the cuff comments)... The greatest risk for O'Bamma is the backlash we're seeing now amongst Americans who are sick of his presumptive "president-elect" attitude and messiah complex.
McSame did six trips to the Middle East -- and to Iraq, and no media went with him. Sound fair? Even that didn't shame O'Bamma into going himself. Hi Majesty didn't think our troops worthy of consideration until a week of pummeling from McSame on the subject embarassed him into scheduling the trip.
Even after pretending to hear the Iraqis and the U.S. commanders on the ground out on the subject of the Surge and our continued presence there, O'Bamma still has his own views -- what's good for the country and our national security be damned! Koss and MoveOn have spoken and His Majesty has to honor their petitions until after the inauguration the Mediocracy seeks to grant him.

Obama gets criticized for his inexperience regarding the Middle East and his lack of foreign affairs experience in general, he goes over there to become more aware and gain experience and he's criticized for that! The Repubs are a bunch of hypocrites. Thank gods the rest of the world sees this country in a better light through Obama. Obama is not perfect, but if anyone can effect a real change and get others to work to get this country in better shape, it's Obama. It is certainly NOT McSame. Sorry all you McSame supporters - Obama brings positivity, McSame only brings negativity.

Obama's race-baiting during the primary was a big turnoff to Dems.
Obama sure learned a lot at Trinity - but apparently little about honesty and humility.

Hoping for a Better World:
Have you ever been to a concert? Clearly not. If you had, you would know that concert-goers SUFFER through the warm-up act while they wait for the main attraction.

McNasty has shown he will flip flop, lie about his positions, disparage the patriotism of a US Senator, even to go so far as to leak classified information about Sen Obama's trip. McCain is a warmongering mean spirited and unethical man, not the kind I would trust with Nuclear launch codes!

McCain is a good representation of the current republican party that has driven this great nation into the ground for the past 71/2 years. They are angry, hostile, self-centered, self-serving, immoral, corrupt, jealous and soon-to-be irrelevant.
It will be left to the Democrats to clean up the big steaming pile that was left by the "elephant in the room", and after the republicans finish burning their party to the ground, we will scatter your ashes to the winds of change.

Will Media Report Concert Before Obama's Berlin Speech?
News busters
Remember back in May when media gushed and fawned over a huge crowd in Portland, Oregon -- supposedly gathered to hear the words of Democrat presidential candidate Barack Obama -- but chose not to report the free concert given before his speech?
Well, it has been learned that before the presumptive Democrat nominee spoke to a crowd in Berlin Thursday, two popular German acts -- reggae artist Patrice and rock band Reamonn -- entertained the gathering audience.
Will media report this tonight, or just gush and fawn over the huge crowd again?
While you ponder, here's what was reported by Spiegel Online moments ago (h/t Hot Air and Gateway):
++ Pop Concert for Obama Fans ++
6:33 p.m.: The tens of thousands of Obama fans are being entertained as they await the senator. The reggae musician Patrice kicked things off, followed by the rock band Reamonn.
I'm sure this will be part of ALL media reports concerning this speech...not!

Senator McCain don't give a single thought to the claim that you have a streak of anger in your veins that is a good trait. Somebody more Holy than any of us said 2,000 thousand years ago that He prefer the Hot or the Cold but not the Lukewarm. So let's forget about the people who is passing erroneous Judgments against you, I hope they will not try to stone you too..

I don't know if he's angry or not. His temper has not gotten in the way of him being an effective legislator or leader to my knowledge. McCain is more of a leader and not much of a politician.

The American people are the least perceptive people on earth. That they cannot see through OBAMA the egomaniac, the pathological narcissist, that they are being played (this includes the media) is just amazing to me. These are the same people who drummed us into war. They were wrong then; they are wrong about OBAMA now. He is the ultimate disaster which could bring down this country for good!

Senator Obama and his campaign are losing voters and clout and they will say anything at this point. Most Americans are angry that he could find time to make a spectacular speech to 200,000 people in Berlin and not have time to see wounded troops in the hospital in Germany. Of course, he could not bring along his press people to the hospital. He just wants the PR and photo ops and doesn't care about the wounded GIs. He is a dud. Senator McCain speaks the truth, Senator Obama does not.

Some Scholarly researcher ought to do a research on why Republicans love war the way they do. I don't understand it..Most of these people are so called christians in the Bible belt but they love war not peace..It baffles the daylight out of me. The same people who are opposed to abortion(I am too but I support a woman's right to choose)..are the same people who would support an unjustified war where innocent people and children are killed..Please do a research into the minds of these people..I am begging a top unbiased researcher..because I do not understand these people..these people love animals more than human beings who happen to be a race or color other than they are..I'm talking about christians..who would support the policies of a Gov't who Governs a country where fifty million people don't have health insurance and where millions go to bed hungry every night and we boast of being the richest country in the world..These people talk about Jesus..The same Jesus who talked in the Bible about us taking care of the poor and dispossessed. These people are going to vote for McCain so the wars can be perpetuated..Heaven help us all!

McCain=Bush: Your description of McCain is the type of Politicians most Americans love to see in Office and that is why he is going to win in November..Untruths and spin work in America..Can't you see how popular Fox,Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity(the comedian)and the little lady on the view are? Not to forget "The main spinner" OReilly. These people have been able to con most of America into believing that the economy is great! And the high gas prices etc are figments of our imagination..Remember what Gramm who happened to be McCain's advisor said the other day? You have to admit that these talking heads are great at lies and Obama bashing. The American public sups it up and believe every word they say..The average American don't read for himself and ascertain facts..they depend on these talking heads who work together to tell one lie after another consistently and the premise is a lie told often will soon be believed
