Well, I guess if we want more idiotic GW politics we should vote ole man McCain.

I am not lashing out in rage over Hillary Clinton. I am of course disappointed that she didn't get the nomination and I blame the Democratic head honchos for sabotaging her. This is why I am voting for MCCain. I am boycotting the Democratic party until they get back to the basic ideals that used to set them apart from the Republican party. I really can't tell who the Republican is who is running anymore. They are both like Republican party members, McCain is Republican party number one and Obama is Republican party number two. Obama earned twice as much in June for contributions as McCain so you tell me who is more like the Republican? The Dems bashed the Republicans on K Street and now they are doing the exact same thing. So how much better are they really? If Obama can't win because people want him, he'll buy his way in. This not the way the Democratic party functioned years ago and untl they get their act together, myself, along with a lot of Hillary supporters, will be voting Republican. We are doing this to boycott the Democratic party and send them a message to clean up their act! Until they do, we vote Republican! I will only vote Democratic if there is a woman candidate running who I believe in, and will vote against any and all chronies of Obama including himself who try to run for office, and will pull the Republican lever across the board for the rest of the people running. The Dems have almost lost me completely. One more false move and I am registering Republican and they are history for me. I will NOT allow them to bully my party into supporting a candidate WHO THEY THINK is the best person. I have a brain in my head and I had the right to vote for who I wanted to vote for but they robbed the Democratic party members of that right when they formed this brutal, well oiled, Obama machine. I hope it crushes them all in November when John McCain is elected as President!

Wow. After reading through the comments I'm disgusted with some fellow democrats. For the lady who would switch to being a republican because Hillary lost, GET OVER IT! Its politics. I am sick and tired of people saying they will vote for mccain or not vote because Hillary didn't win. Give me a break! If you don't care about liberal judges on the supreme court, vote mccain. If you don't care about womens rights, civil rights, and a non-closeminded view coming from our court system, vote mccain. If you want a president that will continue to fight multiple wars on many different fronts at once, even while we are LOSING ground in one of them, vote mccain.

THINK before you lash out in rage over Hillary. Personally I think she would have made a great president, but so would Obama. Yeah, he's young, and honestly a little risky, but I for one would rather risk it with someone who inspires me, then vote for a guy I know I disagree with.

If Obama wins in November I will only vote for a woman candidate after that who I believe in. I will NOT vote for any of Obama's chronies and will ALWAYS vote against them. And, the rest of the votes to be cast I will be pulling the Republican lever right across the board. I am so done with the Democratic party and they have Obama to blame. Many of us are so totally fed up with all the nonsense that has gone on with Hillary and Bill Clinton that we are done unless the DEMS make some big changes. Good riddance to bad rubbish is what I say about it! I will be voting for John McCain in November and working very hard to keep the HIllary women voting for him, blue collars voting for him and win over the conservative Republicans to vote for him instead of Obama. This race isn't over yet although you would think it is from the way Obama acts. And, for the first time in my life, I am seriously contemplating changing my voter registration to Republican. Any one who knows me can only think one thing, the world as we now know it is coming to an end if I register Republican! And, I am leaning that way. I will vote Republican in every election so that I can help deter as many people being elected as possible, who the Obama supporters want elected to office, because of how their shortsightedness saddled us with Obama, a cheerleader, instead of Hillary Clinton. Until my dying breath.. I am so DONE!!!!

I can't believe the American people are so blind that they actually think Obama is going to bring change. No one is that naive. Please people - do some research!! And who believes in polls?
Polls have been proven to be worthless.

"I don't understand why anyone would vote for McCain. He's against woman's rights & he's a bumbling old man. Hasn't anyone seen how many mistakes he has made this week??? Who wants more of the last eight years? My God what is wrong with America???:

Here is why I am voting for McCain

1. I do not want my taxes to go up
2. I oppose Obama's plan to give $850 Billion to the UN on some pretext of ending poverty
3. I support the death penalty. While Obama claims to support it, he has expressed admiration for Supreme Court Justices that oppose it.
4. Obama will appoint liberal, pro-criminal judges to the bench
5. John McCain's health care plan is better.
6. McCain is better on the military and better on foreign policy
7. Obama is a "cult of personality" with no substance.

Oh, and your contention that McCain is against women's rights is baseless. Your "bumbling old man" shot shows bigotry against the elderly. And I thought liberals were enlightened.

"ND and MS are now swing states - McWhiner dropping FAST there"

I can't speak for ND, but there is no way in hell Obama carries MS. Even if every African-American in the state (38% of the population) registers to vote AND shows up, Obama will not carry it.

Now, Ronnie Musgrove may win the Senate seat. BUT Musgrove is a conservative Democrat who has been elected governor before. He has more statewide recognition than Roger Wicker. However, that Musgrove has a shot at winning the Senate does not make MS a swing state.

Musgrove will only win if he stays far away from Obama as possible. He is running a campaign on fiscal responsibility - a far cry from the tax and spend agenda Obama is pushing.

Obama: YES WE CAN...lose big in November!

Posted by: Tina | Jul 24, 2008 4:55:30 PM

Obama is tanking. Pretty soon Massachusetts will be in play for the republicans.

When that happens, look for a McCain landslide in November. Then, we can focus on replacing the DNC leadership who foisted an inexperienced, untested, risky candidate during a year when Democrats should have won. We would have won with Hillary Clinton.

I guess these polls ruffled the bots feathers. Better re-watch his Germany speech while chanting "yes we can?".

Posted by: Mack | Jul 24, 2008 3:31:29 PM

I think some of the polls are closer that the actual result maybe, because I think people are still unsure about Obama. I think McCain is more of a known force, or at least people feel they know him more, but people are uneasy about coming out now for a candidate they don't feel as if they know that well. So I wouldn't be too surprised if the polls that have it as a 10 point race now are closer to the November result than these 'knife edge' polls.

I think Obama will get a big bump out of the Colorado convention, and then the question becomes how does McCain, can McCain, change the momentum. I don't sense at themoment a huge amount of enthusiasm for McCain right now, and he has to find a way of getting people to warm to him. If that means becoming more the maverick after the convention then he might be able to stay in this thing, but right now I can't see that happening. Obama seems to have all the cards and McCain seems to want to hit the panic button now. If he can hold steady he still has a chance, but if he does panic, this could yet be a huge blow out for Obama.

Obama: The closer you look, the more he looks like GW.

Ellen: I totally agree with you. I can not wait for November.

Posted by: becky | Jul 24, 2008 2:12:49 PM

Polls, schmolls. They didn't ask me. I would have told them that anybody who would even given the slightest consideration to voting for that poor old forgetful geezer need serious help themselves. If you are for perpetual war, God forbid, then McCain (aka Johnny Mac) will perpetuate them for you and for as long as you want him to. That's all he can talk about, and that not very well. Leadership? Forgeddaboutit! Sorry, I cannot for the life of me believe that Senator Obama is not out ahead waaaaaaaaaayyyyy more than he has been given credit for. Who skews these stupid polls anyway? Ruper Murdoch?

Posted by: Ellen | Jul 24, 2008 2:00:11 PM

Can't get too excited about these polls.
Yesterday Rasmussen has Obama up by 3 in Colorado and 13 in Minnesota.

Will check out polls after both conventions.
