Democrats Seek to Undermine Anti-Obama Author With His Own Words
August 14, 2008 5:50 PM
Today a full-blown Democratic campaign emerged to undermine one of the authors who helped destroy Sen. John Kerry, D-Mass., in 2004.
The New York Times referred this week to author Jerome Corsi – author of a screed against Sen. Barack Obama, D-Illinois, "The Obama Nation: Leftist Politics and the Cult of Personality," which will debut on the New York Times best-seller list for nonfiction hard cover books this Sunday at No. 1 -- as a "conservative gadfly."
Based on some of Corsi’s previous writings, that’s probably one of the nicer terms for him.
And officials from the Obama campaign and the Democratic National Committee – aided by the Democratic activists at Media Matters – are doing everything they can to make the public aware of those words.
Beyond the questionable and disputed claims in Corsi’s anti-Obama book and the one Corsi co-authored in 2004, “Unfit for Command,” which sought to discredit Kerry’s Vietnam war service, Corsi has, as a poster on the conservative site freerepublic.com, made a number of comments that are pretty out there.
Writing as "jrlc," Corsi wrote that maybe the Pope “can tell the UN what he's going to do about the sexual crimes committed by ‘priests’ in his ‘Church’ during his tenure. Or, maybe that's the connection -- boy buggering in both Islam and Catholicism is okay with the Pope as long as it isn't reported by the liberal press.”
He also wrote that "this is what the last days of the Catholic Church are going to look like. Buggering boys undermines the moral base and the lawyers rip the gold off the Vatican altars. We may get one more Pope, when this senile one dies, but that's probably about it."
He wrote of the Democratic Party that it's "the official SODOMIZER PROTECTION ASSOCIATION of AMERICA" and of Arabs he wrote "RAGHEADS are Boy-Bumpers as clearly as they are Women-Haters -- it all goes together." At another time he wrote "why it isn't the case that Islam is a worthless, dangerous Satanic religion? Where's the proof to the contrary?"
And of Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-NY, Corsi asked "Anybody ask why HELLary couldn't keep BJ Bill satisfied? Not lesbo or anything, is she?"
(We'll see how many anti-Obama angry Clinton supporters embrace Corsi's book regardless.)
As Politico noted this morning, Corsi "has left a trail of wild theories, vitriol and dogma that have called into question his credibility."
Corsi told Politico, "I wrote those to be provocative and I said I would not use that kind of politically incorrect language again, and I don’t believe I have."
Democrats seeking to discredit Corsi have pointed out that he’s made other interesting comments, such as in a January 29, 2008, interview with a conspiracy-minded radio host (listen here) when Corsi said the US government wasn’t telling the whole truth about what happened at the World Trade Center during 9/11. Corsi gives much credence to the claim by physicist Steven Jones who claims the towers exploded because of explosives inside the building.
"World Trade Center dust forms the iron sphere that can only be formed at extremely high temperatures," Corsi said, "jet fuel doesn't…The government's explanation of the jet fuel fire is not a sufficient explanation to explain the evidence of these spheres – these microscopic spheres – that Steven Jones has proved existed within the WTC dust."
Democrats are sending out that link, and the DNC’s rapid response team sent out an email today saying of Corsi: "One of the most vile smear peddlers of the 2004 election has found a new target…We cannot afford to let Corsi get away with the same dirty tricks that fooled so many people in 2004. We can't rely on the media to hold him accountable -- in fact, the sheer brazenness of the lies is attracting even more coverage. The media have shown that they aren't going to stop him. It's up to you to spread the truth…"
The DNC calls Corsi "too crazy even for Swiftboat liars," noting that the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reported in September 2004 that "Jerome Corsi has dropped from the marketing" – of "Unfit for Command" – "because he has been revealed as the author of religiously bigoted remarks published on a Web site. Corsi not only considers Muslims to be pederasts, but he took the trouble to slam Catholic priests and refers to the pope as senile. Rather than wonder whether a book written by such a man can be trusted, the marketing tactic has shifted to pretend Corsi doesn't exist."
Earlier today the Obama campaign sent out an email repeating the DNC’s claim that Corsi is a "vile smear-peddler…back with a new book of lies." (I'm not certain if the Democrats are using "vile" to apply to the "smears" or to Corsi.)
The Obama campaign is calling its latest, 40-page anti-Corsi effort 'Unfit for Publication,' a fact-check of the latest Republican attack machine’s book, full of false, rehashed attacks."
And this afternoon Media Matters noted that Corsi "is scheduled to appear with host James Edwards on the August 17 edition of The Political Cesspool Radio Show, which, according to its 'Statement of Principles' ‘represent[s] a philosophy that is pro-White.’ In a blog post, Edwards has stated that '[i]interracial sex is white genocide.'"
Corsi's book is being published by a Simon & Schuster imprint run by Mary Matalin.

Corsi's research is from Internet data. There is a LOT of Internet news about Corsi that he will claim is false. Therefore why would anyone believe what he writes. I heard his books were bought up by Neo-Con groups to give the apperance that it's a POPULAR BOOK! It's FICTION.

Who is John McCain? Most people
know nothing about him.

Kerry is a big loser. I wouldn't believe anything that flip flopper said or did. He couldn't even get elected with all of his wife's money, Theresa Heinz Kerry. And now he is going to be directing Obama and advising him in his campaign? lolol The Hillary Supporters Count too group thank you Senator Kerry for your unsolicited help in getting John McCain elected. If that isn't a dying swan song for a campaign I don't know what is, having Kerry come along on board with you. I'm sorry I voted for him. What a wasted vote! And, I am A LIFELONG DEMOCRAT COMING FROM THE LIKES OF RELATIVES WHO WORKED FOR DAN FLOOD WHEN HE WAS A CONGRESSMAN AND I AM VOTING FOR MCCAIN IN NOVEMBER!! Good riddance to bad rubbish Obama! I hope you get defeated big time in November!

Obama's book is a very good read, and proves Corsi is full of it!!! What a hateful person.
By the way I am a life long registered Republican....

the Obama campaign is attacking Corsi for one reason only. they can not refute his book. If it were all a pack of lies, they would welcome the chance to attack the charges directly. ALL POLITICO's attack teh messanger rather than refulte the charges when the charges are based on truth. If Obama were not afraid of the charges, he would provide a list documents refuting each charge individually to the press and on his website. His very cautious response means he is concerned about reveiling too much about someting he does not want known. This tepid response comes from a product of the Chicago political machine, a place know for brickbats. There is a fire burning in this smoke that scares Obama.

Corsi really got the crap beat out of him on Larry King the other night. He was practically begging for mercy by the end of the segment.

Jake Tapper needs to crack the code on media's Obama's "humble beginnings". For instance: he says his father was a goat-herder from Kenya, ha. He actually finished his education at Harvard and returned as an economic policy wonk for President Kenyatta. His grandmother in Hawaii who raised him was a bank VP, and her husband owned successful furniture stores in Seattle and Hawaii. Both Barack and his sister Maya attended the elite Punahou Prep school in Honolulu, reportedly "on scholarship". Really? The Indonesian neighborhood where he lived has been reported as upscale. Stanley Ann Dunham ended up with a PhDs, apparently at a time when she was reported as a single mother. Both Obama's biological father (who had multiple concurrent marriages) and Obama's step-father, LoLo Soetoro, have been cited as leftist ( some say Marxist) activists.Expensive prep schools, excellent educational credentials for many family members, upscale neighborhoods, world travel, access to high levels of politics, other interesting opportunities. Something doesn't seem to add up to the humble beginnings spin. Goat herder? My foot. What I want to know does he have an authentic birth certificate?
Barack Hussein Obama, the Affirmative Action candidate.

ABC: Wedge is not inflamatory. Corsi has gotten under the thin skins that are running Obamas campaign or they would not have already drafted a 40 page book to counter the book by Corsi.I don't necessarily buy everything anyone says about Obama but it is intriging that a campaign has to spend so much time, effort and money in trying to invalidate the claims made against him. Looks like the press would look into some of them.

OBAMA NATION
Amazon.com Sales Rank: #2 in Books
His book is selling like hotcakes. He'll make a lot of money
Jerome Corsi's only crime is exposing Barack Obama and John Kerry. You can lie about Corsi and call it a hatchet job
But the truth hurts
You go though either Corsi book and you will find few errors
So Corsi talked some smack on Free Republic. He let off some steam... I could care less
Posted by: dennisw | Aug 15, 2008 1:04:07 PM
Excuse me,
But who the hell is this Corsi? Would someone please provide a "from birth" to now bio of this man with full critique and analysis.
What is good for the geese is...
Posted by: shelgirl | Aug 15, 2008 11:45:04 AM
Why so defensive Obama? That fake birth certificate really answered a lot of questions didn't it?
Posted by: geevill | Aug 15, 2008 11:42:16 AM
Doing some reading of the refutations of quotes from the book, it seems they are He Said She Said. Where a claim is made by Corsi, the refutation is a claim made in Obama's books. Items such as 'Obama was a practicing Muslim' or his mother was divorced under Sharia law don't have supporting documents.
So we have the question, where are the primary sources from either side? This is like using Wikipedia: multiple authors, interesting claims but often insufficient citations of primary sources.
As popular as the book is becoming, anyone interested in getting to proof may have a hard time with both camps.
Obama needs to start releasing primary sources or this thing is going to stick. If he won't, then question will be why won't he?

John,
Corsi is an educated man with a distorted view of the world and his influence in it.

Do Libs read??

A million dollars was offer to Kerry to prove anything in Mr Corsi book about him was wrong, well Kerry was unable to collect.
This book about Obama, has all the location from where Mr. Corsi got his info from. And Please note some of it was from Obama's own book!
By the way he is correct about the DNC, it seems that they want to protect sex offenders more then hardworking people , look at Vermont, the lib in the NY state senate and so forth!!
The book is informative and backed up by facts, So is this Obama already trying to squash free speech!!
He is threatening news stations, and using media matters.
The fact that Obama is using media matters as reported, the FEC needs to investigate, because campaigns can not work with 527's or have any communication with them.
Any one saying the books has lies, please point them out, or is it that you are gaga over Obama's celebrity!!
Posted by: spock | Aug 15, 2008 10:27:05 AM
Did everyone believe what Obama wrote in his books? Or did they verify the facts?
Obama's version of his life conflicts with the Corsi's version.
Can't the news media confirm which are true?
Lies and more lies -- so what are the facts?
Posted by: susie | Aug 15, 2008 10:19:26 AM
Senator Kerry was outraged, but didn't sue Corsi for libel. If Corsi did cost him the election, filing a lawsuit seems like the sensible thing for Kerry to do. Senator Obama is also outraged, but he hasn't filed a libel suit, either. I don't know if Corsi's lying or not, but if he is, why doesn't somebody sue him and settle it once and for all? Put up or shut up.
Posted by: Jim | Aug 15, 2008 9:49:52 AM
Thirty years ago we would have seen an in depth investigation of that facts alledged in the book by at least one of the major networks. We would have seen investigations into the death threats against the author. Then we would see the background checks of the author as part of the story.
Today we see a both sides battling over the author's background but very little fact checking. That is the low road of the media in this campaign.
Whether you are pro-Obama or anti-Obama, we owe it to our country to find out the truth or falsity of the allegations. It appears the media isn't going to help. They will lead the news with tales of Obama's plane scare thus reinforcing the cycle begun in the Obama Girl commercials of his needing protection and trying to evoke sympathy.
This is the most market-driven campaign I've ever seen. Nothing of issues, nothing of fact checking, just spin and anti-spin to create emotional bonds to a man who otherwise has no record of achievement and a falsified biography.
We're being had. In a big way.
Posted by: len | Aug 15, 2008 9:39:04 AM
If you can't dispute the facts then trash the author.
Obama is a fake --- a product of the media hype ever since he made the keynote address at the Democratic convention in 2004.
Posted by: susie | Aug 15, 2008 9:36:15 AM
Corsi is just another standup commedian. Today, all of them resort to insulting everybody they can think of and the drunken audiences cheer, clap and yell. It's one way to make a living, but does anyone know where the line is that they cross to do so?
Posted by: HillbillyBill | Aug 15, 2008 9:35:45 AM
Why should John McCain have to defend Obama? He certainly doesn't know Obama's life history. And I don't see Obama rushing to defend any Republicans, including the President himself. Let Obama file a lawsuit claiming slander. I'll bet he won't because he can't.
Now, where can I buy a copy?

"We live in a country where people are pretty much free to say and write whatever they want (at least for the time being) even if those statements are not true or (gasp) might hurt somebody's feelings."
This comment is not true, nor should it be. The point of freedom is to allow responsible people the self-determination to control their own lives. When lies and slander are said or written by someone, about someone else, then they are in fact, having their freedom impinged by the lying party. Your reputation is your personal property, and the ability for the truth to be known is important about public figures, instead of confusing the weak minded with propaganda. It's called libel and slander and its against the law for a good reason.

Corsi 'footnotes ' himself several times in this book....nuff said. Ofcourse McShame won't comment on this pack of lies until pressed by a reporter where he will retort 'eh, Democrats can't take a joke' heheh.

Obama thinks we're all so stupid that he could cover-up his past and either no one would notice or no one would care. Unfortunately, in order to run for president, you have to meet certain qualifications, and Barry Soetoro's past is about to catch up to him.
Stay tuned. If the Democrats don't stop him at the convention, the Republicans will stop him before election day. On the flipside, McCain is bumping up against his own problems, which he may or may not be able to outmaneuver.
This is the most fascinating election cycle of my lifetime, and I lived through the 60s. Get your sodas and popcorn ready, don't take any of it seriously enough to raise your blood pressure dangerously high, and enjoy the show!
Posted by: marylou | Aug 15, 2008 6:24:38 AM
Hmmm, interesting that they're attacking Corsi's character rather than the footnoted claims he makes in the book regarding Obama. The fact that a claim has been disputed means nothing; see Obama's fake birth certificate as Exhibit A.
I personally find Corsi's anonymous internet comments repulsive; we've all seen similar behavior on this blog. However; truth is truth and while you can indeed shoot the messenger, the truth of the message will continue to ring loud and clear.
Posted by: marylou | Aug 15, 2008 6:09:00 AM
I think the fact that Corsi's a 9/11 Truther is most disturbing to the Right; therefore, I'm telling all my RW friends about it.
What a flippin' crackpot!
Posted by: JP | Aug 15, 2008 4:27:28 AM
Corsi is not a member of the GOP and is not affiliated with McCain in any way.
Further, McCain has no reason and no business condemning Corsi's book.
We live in a country where people are pretty much free to say and write whatever they want (at least for the time being) even if those statements are not true or (gasp) might hurt somebody's feelings.
I haven't read the book and don't plan to, but from what I gather about the content of the book, it just rehashes everything that's already been said about Obama.
So what are people worried about?
Living in a country that protects freedom of speech and press? In such a society, the responsibility for separating truth from lie is on the consumer (or as here the voter).
This book isn't going to sway anyone either way.
If people are really so upset about it, then don't ever purchase anything from the publisher or anything written by Corsi.

Very telling reading this comment section..."It's a best seller!" "He has footnotes for everything!" I'm convinced that this country is full of little pawns whose weak minds can only be filled with supermarket tabloid headlines. Not ONE thought out comment about McCain's 'past', his rolling over for those who stabbed him in the back in 2000, his stand on various issues (look for daily changes based on the political winds).... No, just blind, puerile hate for a well-educated, VISIONARY candidate.
Posted by: DD | Aug 15, 2008 12:16:30 AM
The sales of the book are not as much a concern as people might think.
In the record business, many, many an album went up the chart due not to the individual sales of the title. Rather, there were...um...more creative ways of 'selling' that resulted in higher than true unit sales.
Of these, bulk purchases were one of the ways. The main way this title is selling. As if someone was 'buying the book back."
What I wonder if the Times can determine the actual individually scanned copy sales (think Billboard's 'SoundScan' system for music and internet sales) and break those out from the bulk buys.
My guess is this book is not selling as well as its chart position will indicate.

He earned a B.A. from Case Western Reserve University in 1968, and is a member of the Phi Beta Kappa Society. He earned a Ph.D. in Political Science from Harvard University in 1972; his dissertation was titled Prior Restraint, Prior Punishment, and Political Dissent; a Moral and Legal Evaluation.[1] He has also published numerous works on political protest and terrorism.

This author distorts the truth just like he did with Kerry and the swiftboat fabrication. At least Kerry fought. Bush didn't even lift a hand and yet Corsi singled out Kerry to smear.
Obama's lack of experience? Lately experience counts for very little in the White House. McCain's just more of the same Bush policies.
Obama "occupying the Oval Office"? A damn site better than what's in there now. In fact you'd have to search quite far to find someone worse. I'm a former Republican, but Bush and his cronies have ruined it for the moderate Republicans in the party. The uncecessary war in Iraq will cost us more than a decade of excessive social spending. I hope we can get back to moderate ground, ie. moderate Democrat, moderate Republican. McCain's not it either. He's flip flopped so much on the issues he's like a freshly caught trout. He'll say anything to get elected. But the worst thing about him is that he's embraced Bush's failed policies! Obama may be somewhat of an unknown but he'd have to be really bad to screw up worse than Bush did. My vote goes for Obama. The big Iraq mistake trumps all other considerations.

I am reading Obama Nation. I have looked up all the footnotes/references that Corsi has provided for each controversial situation regarding B.H. Obama in his book Obama Nation. It seems that Corsi has become the 3rd party in most of his research. In other words, Corsi is just retelling stories that seem to show Obama's autobiography is full of lies and untruths. Sometimes, Corsi's vernacular drags by in his attempt to prove a point. But in general, Corsi makes his point that Obama has created a fictional story of his past, and I as a reader am convinced that Corsi has suceeded in telling the truth about B.H. Obama. Read the book and find out for yourself.
Posted by: eco delsol | Aug 14, 2008 10:52:46 PM
Obama’s response to Corsi’s book is full of untruthful statements. For example, Obama claims that "AYERS AND DOHRN ARE MEMBERS OF THE ESTABLISHMENT WITH TIES TO THE MAYOR" (p. 16 of the Obama document). Besides Ayers participation in waging war on the United States in the late Sixties and early Seventies by setting off bombs at the Capitol and Pentagon (among several dozen bombings,) Ayers was quoted in the New York Times on Sept. 11, 2001 as saying that he did not regret the bombings and wishes he had done more. Ayers and Dohrn are known to have held at least one fund raiser for Obama in their Chicago home. During Obama’s last year on the board of the Woods Fund that Ayers was a member of, in 2002 Obama participated in awarding a $70,000 grant to the Arab-American Action Network a Chicago based group founded by Rashid and MOna Kalidi who also held a fundraiser in their home for Obama. From 1972 through 1983 Kahlidi was the director in Beirut of the official Palestinian press agency FAFA.

This Corsi book is big news everywhere, that is why the Obama camp is trying desperately to debunk Corsi. The only problem is that the book has footnotes and is more like an encyclopedia than a book.

Corsi is not so much a "conservative gadfly" as a writer willing to do the footwork that the MSM foot soldiers for Senator Obama refuse to do.
Come on, Jake... before the election two and a half months from now, give us one single post, JUST ONE, on something Senator Obama has actually done, rather than yet another cover for his much vaulted image. After all, his high flying credentials include four whopping years in the Illinois State Legislature. Can't there be one single piece of legislation he actually put forth that would, in reality, tell us who he really is, rather than simply who you want us to think he is?

Everything in the book is documented with footnotes. It will be tough for the Obama campaign to have a rebuttal for each one. It looks pretty well documented. Obama is in deep trouble.

This is just getting more and more sad with each article. This Corsi should have been a non-issue. But where's McCain to condemn this behavior? Every time someone from Obama's camp says something somewhat controversial, Obama there to condemn the remark. This whole publication is controversial because it's using lies. Come on down McCain, grab your teleprompter and address this. I don't care if Corsi's not in the McCain camp, this needs to be called for what it is and bring back a little respect to this sleaze-fest of a campaign. This is making it harder and harder to stomach voting for McCain.

So , because he alleges to have a Phd (in what, idiocracy)he has open license to bash anyone, Presidential candidate or not??
So, i go to school (which all most PHD's are people who couldnt get a job, or get hired for anything relavent)and start digging up opinion on all of you who have posted here, right or wrong.I write a book ,get it published as Non,Fiction even though theres no real truth besides the heresay of other anti-everythings like himself, and you all will preach it like the gospel??\
Wow, i just found a new career path, im goin into literature!!

Corsi is a psychopathic lying facist who already has received far more infamy than he deserves. There is a word for the kind of sordid feces that he is profiting from: LIBEL.

Pamela writes:
"Seems kind of funny that the dems don't come back from vacation (i.e. Obama/Pelosi) when major events take place."
Pamela, while the Midwest was flooding, Bush and his MiniMe McCain were at the Bush ranch enjoying birthday cake. When Katrina leveled New Orleans, Condi Rice was shoe shopping in New York. Are these the dems you're referring to?

Wow, it's awfully easy to get published if you're a nutty centrist Republican like Corsi. Democrats have to actually know how to craft an argument based on evidence, because the competition is professionally skilled. But Repubs only have to be willing to ruin their own reputations in the process of spilling sleaze.

Corsi sounds tame compared to the likes of Naomi Wolf or Mark Crispin Miller. But since these people come from a different point of view, we wont expect the critical media barrage on them.

So I assume that those of you who believe this book also believe the negative books written about Bush. Am I wrong.

I put my country first. Because of my love for this country, I will vote for Obama.

One must never forget that, while we are proud of our free press, that same press is rarely objective because they are in the business of making a profit. As far as Jerome Corsi goes, he's just another frustrated wanna-be politician who lives out his frustration as a critic. How many statues have been erected to critics by the way? None that I know of. Movie critics, sports critics, etc - all living as wanna bees .. couldn't cut it as Writers or Athletes, so that gives them the same license as Corsi to criticize, condemn and complain? Bah! People of integrity expect to be believed, and when they're not, time proves them right. Each of us reading this blog has a choice to make right now: as leaders, we can either filter out this crap from our discussions with others, or we can magnify it and make mountains out of mole hills. What's your choice?

Finally - a book about the real Obama! Love the title - so apt! I can't wait to read it - best seller already! I will definitely buy it and it won't change my mind about BO - I already know he is not electable. Hope millions of voters come to the same conclusion too!

Barry Obama is losing ground now that America is getting a glimpse into his past......I think he is finished!

Jill ~
You asked, "If we had another 9/11 on his watch ... would you rather have Obama or McCain handling it?"
Jill, that's a no-brainer. I'd rather have the guy who could take in the situation quickly and make a sound, rational decision, rather than the guy with a hair-trigger temper and anger issues so extreme that his own party members call him McNasty and Senator Hothead and say things like,“I dont want this guy anywhere near a trigger.”
Yup, that's all we need... McCain at the trigger when a diplomatic emergency arises. WWIII, anyone?

I like this book of fiction. It is a great read so far. There are wonderful parts about a white robed hero defeating the evil, socialist dragon. I hope we get to see the movie coming out soon. Maybe around Halloween,so we can be horrified by all the scary characters.
To all the adults in America; vote with your brain this time. If you rely upon a book of lies to substantiate your endorsement of a specific candidate then your whole belief system may be on shaky ground. I would call this Corsi guy a worm, but at least the crap that comes out of a worm is used to help the Earth.

Swiftboat Veterans for the Truth!!!!!
Thank the lord that these patriots will educate America about the things that Barry Obama is hiding about his radical past.

Obama simply must win and this book won't make any difference whatsoever. Doesn't everybody know that Republicans don't read---Harper's, The Atlantic, Vanity Fair, The New Yorker, Time, Newsweek---they hate them all and ignore all, the primitives.
But as I was saying, Obama must win.
Then something can be done about the country's mental health.
So many nut cases around.
Many even here.

"Seems kind of funny that the dems don't come back from vacation (i.e. Obama/Pelosi) when major events take place. Most big company execs do. Just wondering."
-----
Obama/Pelosi -- she has "book" problems of her OWN -- are just pr constructs, figureheads for smarter, less-deferential, white power guys.
Company execs who didn't inherit their positions might lose their jobs, or their self-respect, if they goof off and/or eff up -- politicians like Obama/Pelosi, shameless clothes-horses who don't actually DO anything but show up for infinitely-adjustable weasel words on teevee, could go on permanent vacation, and it wouldn't make a bit of difference.

The self-loathing of the white American liberal is as well-established and documented as Einstein's Special Relativity theorems. A typical example is writer Susan Sontag's denouncement of the white race as "the cancer of human history."
A racist hatred of one's own race – auto-racism – has become a defining characteristic of the liberal mind. Yet the source of such suicidal guilt remains a mystery.

The author isnt a saint, but is the content of the book factually correct?
Seems to me that Obama is not disputing any of the facts in the book, so it must be true.

I bet the weather is really nice in the islands right now. I wish I could afford to vacation there, the flight is to expensive right now. Hey thats ok I will just remember this in November. Barry are you listening?

"No minds will be changed by Corsi"
-----
I don't think I'd bet my lunch money on THAT. If Corsi managed to get a PhD from Harvard, he's probably not an idiot -- and since the media DIDN'T question any of the fluff from the Obama campaign, busy and/or unsophisticated people, AND people who don't do online anything, will find the simplest facts about Obama interesting.
Not everybody GOES to read the Chicago Sun-Times archives, etc.

Barry's cabinet:
William Ayers - Sec of Defense
Tony Rezko - Sec of Commerce
Rev Wright - Sec of State
Frank Marshall - VP

McCain has already surrendered to Georgia. Maybe he should be paying attention to America's interests instead of his advisors' clients.

Obama has never served in the military, the House, or as a governor, was first elected to the Senate in 2004, and his battle with Hillary was the only tough campaign he has ever been in. In other words, if he's elected, he would be one of the least worthy candidates ever to make it to the White House. If we had another 9/11 on his watch or even if one of those infamous 3 AM emergency calls that Hillary campaigned on were to come in, would you rather have Obama or McCain handling it? For that matter, would you rather have Obama or a random person picked out of the phone book handling it? Neither Obama nor the random person from the phone book would have much relevant experience, but at least the random person would probably be humble enough to realize it and ask for help, unlike Obama.

My book club has chosen this as our book of the month and will be discussing it at our monthly meeting. Most of the members are Clinton supporters who are voting for McCain but we still have a few fence sitters. This should push them to McCain.
