GOP Lumps Obama With Madonna and Clooney in New Quiz

August 01, 2008 8:56 AM

Seeking to further push the notion that Sen. Barack Obama, D-Illinois, is an out-of-touch empty-headed celebrity, the Republican National Committee this morning launched a new interactive website --
-- where users can guess whether Obama or a member of the glitterati uttered a particular quote.

For instance: "You have only a short period of time in your life to make your mark, and I'm there now."

Was that said by Obama, Madonna, David Beckham or George Clooney?

Or: "Anybody gone into Whole Foods lately and see what they charge for arugula?" (Choice: Obama; Cameron Diaz; Jessica Biel; Matt Damon.)

We had our own quiz on this subject yesterday, though we were trying to make a slightly different point.

The "Straight Talk Express" has been hijacked by the GOP goons headed by Karl Rove. The latest string of despicable campaign ads are testament to this.

McCain, the so-called "clean guy" is increasingly engaging in lies, innuendoes and outright slander. He even has the audacity to admit that it was all for fun.

Fun or not, he has crossed all boundaries of decency when he cynically depict Obama as the the "Chosen One". This is outright blasphemy. God-fearing people of faith cannot forgive this old man who has gone senile and allowed himself to be overwhelmed by scumbags like Karl Rove and his cronies in directing his campaign to the sewage.

I called it when the Obama-Britney-Paris ad first aired, namely Senile John was insulting one of his richest campaign contributors, the Hiltons. Now Kathy Hilton speaks out...."It is a complete waste of the money John McCain's contributors have donated to his campaign. "It is a complete waste of the country's time and attention at the very moment when millions of people are losing their homes and their jobs. And it is a completely frivolous way to choose the next president of the United States." John McCain allowed his temperment to get the best of him as it obviously clouded his thinking. John 'Dangerous MInds' McCain lacks the mental fortitude required to be our next president! OBAMA 08'

The strategy that Camp McCain is trying to use is the belief that the highest level of notoriety/fame an African American can attained in America is that of celebrity.

They are tapping into the psyche of a group of Americans who are ONLY comfortable witnessing African Americans ascend to popular status as entertainers and sports legends. Goes back to "they can only sing and dance." The underlying theme is RACE, RACE and Negroes, please "stay in your place."

So if you cannot understand why McCain used Britney and Paris alongside Obama, the man who has shattered the glass ceiling on what an African Americans can achieve-- now you know. It's all about psychological exploitation.

seems everyone here thats republican is just regergitating the attacks the GOP is making on Obama leading me to the conclusion that the republicans are the people in the US that are mindless drones and will beive and go along with whatever they hear and see on TV. not to mention the fact that it seems they are all about mud slinging and not about any facts. 1st offshore drilling. point in fact the republicans want you to belive that it is the answer to the energy crunch only because Obama is against it truth is it will take 7 years at least to see any results and that oil companies wont spend the money to drill on the us land thats already leasted to them they take there profits and by back there board of directors stock options at way more than there worth this means all the money goes to there board of directors and non of it to exploring or drilling for new oil or research into to energys. A fact that the GOP doesnt want you to know because it helps keep gas prices high and money in the pocket of the puppets of big oil THE REPUBLICAN PARTY!

Yeah, Obama peaked early...largely a creation of the media that hyped him up. I said that the media would be shocked...and it's starting to happen. No substance. Barry is an empty suit. He talks great, but does he know what candor is?

There is a old saying "be careful for what you ask for" Wait until after the conventions and then the debates will happen at which time we will see who is the better man. All this talk about Obama being afraid to debate is hog-wash. A man who was the edtior of the Havord Law Review is not some one you wish to get into a debate with, unless you have all your ducks in order. All I say here is be careful what you wish for and in this case you will get it at the right time and place and it will not be pretty for McCain for sure. In a debate forum you will have to be able to think fast and answer with facts and you will be judge by your mannerism, body lanague and other factors. Is McCain up to facing this type of pressure with out his handlers next to him? We will see come Sept and Oct. Good luck McCain, for you are going to need all of the luck you can there.

Yep! McCain is following the Karl Rove, Sean Hannity model to the T.

Before the debate between Obama and McCain, do not forget to purchase your Obama to English translator. You can purchase it from the same company that produce the hip-hop to English translator.

If the shoes, excuse me flip-flops, fit, wear it!

Obama has been saying...I'll debate john mccain anytime anyday and anywhere. Recently, Obama challenged Mccain to a duel on energy. All this coming from a man who has not returned Mccain's call for joint townhall meeting for almost 6 months. IF you don't mean what you say and you don't say what you mean then isn't it just hot air?

As always, the losers demand a debate, and the winners spend their time getting their message out.

A close examination of John McCain's legislative record seems to indicate it is just about as lackluster as his military career. But what do we need with facts when we have the great media hype machine.

Actually, I think McCain would make a good President. After four years of lobbyist-approved malfeasance, even Hilary would start looking like a reasonable candidate, Bill and all.

Obama spent the first half of his campaign chastising any member of his campaign, no matter how peripheral, who made personal comments against Senator McCain. See what being polite gets you?

Kim, good luck on getting to hear a debate, the telepromter king, Obama, doesnt want to debate without Hiliary or a pre-written speech being available to him to copy off of.

Posted by: chattyway | Aug 2, 2008 3:00:32 AM

Kim - Calm down. You don't want to bust a blood vessel in your brain. You can have everything McCain has. Just work for it. This is America.

I wonder how tickled those 'stars' are to the comparison. They are not empty headed, and by any stretch of the imagination, neither is Obama. So once again, the Mccain campaign has caused irreparable damage to itself.

Posted by: exatlantic | Aug 2, 2008 2:14:36 AM

Bwhahahaha, its about time McCain took off the gloves. It seems to be working... Gallup has McCain and Obama at 44% each. McCain is moving up and Obama is moving down.

Posted by: chattyway | Aug 2, 2008 12:33:36 AM

I took the quiz. I had some fun.

McCain seems to following the same script Bush did to get elected - twice. So, on the one hand it is understandable, because I guess that's the name of the game, just win! On the other hand, look at the country, what do we get when someone wins this way?

Obama's foreign advisor said to the German press that "Obama bows to no-one in understand the world." She also defended Obama's "President of the World" speech in Germany saying "The President does not give political speeches in foreign countries", and a reporter had to interject "Obama's not the President". Obama removed the flag from his airplane and replaced it with his "O" logo before his World Ego Trip 2008 (like he was ashamed of it). Obama made up his own presidential seal (against the law). Obama pretended to be president all the way through the Middle East and half-way through Europe before he finally admitted by Paris that "America has a tradition of only one president at a time"--but he'd been violating the Logan Act for a week (high treason). What we're seeing is a level of self-coronation, delusion, conceit, disrespect for America and its offices that is indicative of someone with mental illness actually. He reminds me of a 2 year old who will always push the envelope to see what they can get away with. So far, nobody really confronts him, like his ridiculous advice to fill up your tires to end the oil crisis. Nobody confronts him over his blatant lies, like his uncle with ptsd in the attic who saved Auschwitz. Obama has no uncle, his great uncle Charles T. Payne was in the Navy (ancestry.com Kansas state historical society) and never went to Europe, and the Russians liberated Auschwitz. He's gotten away with pushing the envelope, he's now believing his own hype.

Obama all fluff, no stuff. He's flip - floppin' more than my flip flops do!!! He'll say & do what he thinks will get him the votes, and according to the polls. All his money & all his men, can't put Obama together again! Face it Obamabots, he has no substance, experience or leadership abilities to qualify as president! True Patroits will Vote McCain!
