New McCain TV Ad Says Obama Didn't Pick Hillary as Veep Because She Had His Number

August 24, 2008 9:23 AM

The campaign of Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., launched a pretty interesting TV ad this morning that attacks Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., for not picking Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-N.Y., as his veep. The ad implies Obama couldn't handle the fact that Clinton had his number.

Watch it HERE.

ANNOUNCER: She won millions of votes. But isn't on his ticket. Why? For speaking the truth. On his plans:

HILLARY CLINTON: "You never hear the specifics."

ANNOUNCER: On the Rezko scandal:

HILLARY CLINTON: "We still don't have a lot of answers about Senator Obama."

ANNOUNCER: On his attacks:

HILLARY CLINTON: "Senator Obama's campaign has become increasingly negative."

ANNOUNCER: The truth hurt. And Obama didn't like it.

JOHN MCCAIN: I'm John McCain and I approved this message.

CW, great post. You've captured the mood of the country perfectly.

Isn't the VP pick supposed to balance out the ticket? It's quite logical and honest to state the Maobama bin Biden is a SOCIALIST ticket, and here's why:

Obama is THE MOST liberal member of the U. S. Senate. He is more liberal than 94% of the Senate on economic issues; 94% of the Senate on social issues; and 92% of the Senate on foreign issues. His composite "Liberal" score is 95.5%.

Biden is the 3RD MOST liberal member of the U. S. Senate. He is more liberal than 94% of the Senate on economic issues; 88% of the Senate on social issues; and 94% of the Senate on foreign issues. His composite "Liberal" score is 94.2%.

Both Obama and Biden are further to the left than Bernie Sanders, who comes in fourth. He is more liberal than 90% of the Senate on economic issues; 88% of the Senate on social issues; and 98% of the Senate on foreign issues. His composite "Liberal" score is 93.7% -- and Bernie Sanders identifies himself as a Socialist.

RNC motto right now is, "wait 'til safely nominated"

Sweetie, scared much? So you trot out all those old scare tactics from the 80s?

They're soooooo old. You'll have to find a new one. These ones aren't working.

The only way McCain will even have a shot at the Presidency is when he picks Hillary as his running mate.

Even McCain says that Hillary spoke the Truth. He should pick Hillary, otherwise his words will come back to hurt him when the Dems will air the other truths she had said during the primaries and for the rest of the campaign.

It would be great line for Hillary: "Even McCain thinks I'm telling you the truth. Well, this is what I'm telling you: McCain will be a disaster for America"

I gotta hand it to Maobama for tapping into the left side of the bellcurve voters. They care nothing about substance and vote like Chris Matthrews from the tingle below the belt. I read one of them to ask "What's wrong with COMMUNISM?"--well I can't blame them for not knowing world history because Obama doesn't even know how many states there are. The Golden Idiot was praising China's economic structure a few days ago--yes, it's amazing what a few million slave laborers can do for that infrastructure Obama! One billion dead from the square wheel failed experiment and they wish to keep reinventing it...if his supporters want a socialist/communist government so much, why don't they just move to Venezuela or China?

I sense a lot of rage under the mccainiacs. What's up?

Mad that Zogby has Obama up by 3 points again? After they had McCain up by 5 points just this week?

Obama sure went out of his way to alienate Clinton supporters by never vetting Clinton even out of respect and by releasing the veep text at 3 AM, wow what a slap in the face. Even if she gives lukewarm support, to her supporters he just dangled raw meat!!

"Biden will chew up McCain and spit him out ... "
-----
If Biden runs true to form, though, the very NEXT day he'll be back to claim he was misquoted or taken out of context, and gobble it all up again.

And if the Democratic delegates go for an Obama-Biden ticket, at least one of them is likely to have thrown the other off and/or under the electoral bus within two weeks (that'll be September the ... 11th, so mark yer calendars and place yer bets.)

Who ever said that the Pres. and VP should be clones of each other? I think some spice in the soup is in order.

As for attacks, just wait - Biden will chew up McCain and spit him out before McCain has time to form a thought.

"what other options do women have now if faced with an unwanted pregnancy."

The same as ever: abort, or don't.

A great deal may depend on which player in the zygote-producing drama finds a pregnancy "unwanted" -- a number of sad old ballads ("Banks of the Ohio" comes to mind) feature murder-by-dagger of prospective mommies by unwilling daddies.

Free medical abortion would do quite a bit to keep the riverbanks uncluttered with dead women.

if McCain picks Romey the big difference is Romney got millions of votes and won delegates. Biden is a loser and quitter.

Debra, do you really believe the Fundies are going to vote for an Episcopalian and a Mormon?

Posted by: Willem van Oranje | Aug 24, 2008 10:09:40 PM

I forget, how many houses do John and Cindy own? Maybe someone should ask McCain how many children he has. I would love to hear the answer on that one - or maybe he'sll just make it up - the way Cindy did with her fantasy about herself and Mother Teresa. What kind of a woman would LIE about Mother Teresa? Jeez. My mother must be rolling in her grave. If there was anything she hated worse than liars it was trash with money.

Debra, what Wendy said is correct. There were many harsh words and debates between Romney and McCain. The dems will have a field day with it.

Posted by: ll | Aug 24, 2008 9:30:36 PM

WENDY......ROMNEY NEVER SAID McCAIN ISN'T READY TO LEAD ON DAY ONE.....BUT HILLARY AND BIDEN HAVE BOTH SAID IN DIFFERENT WORDS......NOBAMA DOESN'T HAVE WHAT IT TAKES.
POOR JUDGEMENT.....SO LACKING
McCain/Romney or anyone just NEVER BARACK HUSSEIN

Shame on McCain for this silly ad using Hillary Clinton's words to put down Obama. So what???? .... Anyone could make a similar ad using Mitt Romney's words against McCain. ... But we, the voters, deserve better than this kind of b.s. ............ This is boring, old-style U.S. politics. We can do better than this. OBAMA/BIDEN '08

eyes wide open -------- Thanks and its nice to atleast respectfully agree that we disagree and that you seem sincere and honest about wanting what is best also and not switching sides for other reasons. You are a great American and with voters like you we have a chance no matter who sits in the White House. Good luck and have a great life. Thanks
Carl

All this drama is great... it gets people hooked into the convention.

It will expand viewership considerably. Plus, it will give the Clintons a great chance to boost Obama while calling McCain out on his sleazy opportunism and disingenuous concern for Hillary supporters.

The more McCain can flap his jaws... the better. Who knows... maybe his teeth will fall out on national TV!
