Obama Birthday Present Recovered from Cab
August 05, 2008 1:37 PM
A few minutes ago, Obama campaign trip director Marvin Nicholson was contacted by the Chicago Yellow Cab Company and told that the lost shopping bag containing Sen. Barack Obama's birthday present has been recovered.
Obama will likely receive the gift Thursday upon his return to Chicago, before his week-long vacation with his family to Hawaii.
The gift -- from Nicholson, senior adviser Robert Gibbs, and personal assistant Reggie Love -- was left in a taxicab trunk Sunday night.
Last year, for Obama's 46th birthday, the three men gave the senator an iPod.
Nicholson's garment bag, which he also left in the cab, has also been recovered.

McCain's campaign makes him look like a real fool. They need to stop with the mocking of everything Obama says. How about something of substance from McCain and not silly stuff. He just isn't funny. How anyone could think he has been running a successful campaign is just deluding themselves. Wait until after the debates - November can't come fast enough!!

Bet you he got new teleprompters, or a couple of new books! Good reading for his vacation in Hawaii! Can't wait to read them myself!

Aside to bhrandon:
Since you apparently don't like McCain's voting attendance record in the Senate, you must agree that Obama hardly has one since he's been running for President since he conned Illinois to voting him in....so let's be fair, bro. Besides, Barack has all those rolls of quarters he carries around since Plouffe told him he could vote by payphone.

keep telling yourself what you want Deborah. that move to the center you think is alienating people? hmmmm.....it's gonna attract a lot of those who really don't like Mccain but were sitting on the fence. You're not out and about and talking to the general public much are you? I am and I'm in Idaho - one of the reddest states in the nation...can you say LANDSLIDE????? ha ha ha ha ha ha ha

Sorry doll, but as a proud HOG owner I can tell you, you are, as usual, way off base. At a rally last Thursday there was a new voter registration drive by the Obama campaign. They said they registered over 100 in under 3 hours. And the bikers put the Obama stickers on their helmets.

mccain hasnt cast a vote in like 400 votes
hes been absent 70%
and he continually criticizes congress for not being there or taking breaks

double standard mccain!

I guess it's kind of hard to tell Congress to end your vacations and get back to work on important issues .. then take off on a vacation of your own! Sheesh!

Politics is all about momentum. Obama peaked too soon. He lost all gains made in tracking polls since his overseas visit. He is losing support among the young, women and independents. The reason is simple. When he was a candidate for the DNC nomination, he played way out in left field. Now that he has moved to the centre on a lot of issues, all the talk of being a true change agent now a lie. He lied his way in. People see that clearly.

McCain's VP pick won't help him in the polls one bit. If McCain think announcing after Obama announce his pick will help.
McCain is a relic of the past and majority of voters are going leave him in the dust bowl history.

It's hard to fine fault with McCain and so very easy to find fault with Obama. Naturally, coverage will be distributed over the entirety of coverage and therefore, Obama's lies.
Posted by: Truman | Aug 5, 2008 2:31:41 PM
MSM protect McCain. If Obama went to Sturgis and offered up Michelle the way McCain did, the press would be running it 24/7. Guess I will have to wait for Keith Olberman to cover it!
Posted by: jmc663 | Aug 5, 2008 2:30:50 PM
Meanwhile, Obama refuses a debate where questions are asked by real people about real issues. What a coward!
