Obama Says the Decision Has Been Made

August 21, 2008 6:15 PM

We reported on Tuesday morning that Sen. Barack Obama, D-Illinois, had made up his mind and decided whom he wanted as his running mate.

But while making a stop in Emporia, Virginia on Thursday, he admitted as much on camera.

“I did say that I've made the selection and that's all you're going to get,” Obama said.

Obama wouldn't say whether he'd alerted the prospective Vice President yet, and as of Wednesday night sources in the camps of all three men said to be the finalists - Delaware Sen. Joe Biden, Indiana Sen. Evan Bayh and Virginia Gov. Tim Kaine -- as well as in the Obama campain said he had not yet made the call.

The clock is ticking -- Obama will appear with his running mate in an event on Saturday in Springfield, Illinois, after while they will go on a tour of states Obama hopes to win in November: Eau Claire, Wisc.; Quad Cities area, Iowa; Kansas City, Mo.; and Billings, Montana.

The Democratic National Convention starts Monday in Denver, Colorado.

Dear Patriot, Did you know that Kerry served in Vietnam? Did you know Kerry actually received medals that he either did or did not throw back? Did you ever hear the phrase from Kerry "Reporting for duty !!" at the Dem convention? How about his entrance with other vets arriving on a boat?

Good thing Dems like Kerry are so modest about their service.

Because of his own thin resume, Obama has just announced that he's selected, Sanjaya Malakar of American Idol fame to be his V.P. running mate...

"Beckie": In fact Ohbama DOES have a
cold and CNN was linking to his campign
spiel today in which he sneezed over
and over but assured everyone he was
"OK" and not to worry about him.. "I
always carry a handkerchief". Trouble
was, he repeatedly blasted the stage
and his mike and never once took it
out and used it. The people kissing
his ring after the performance are
as clueless as he is.

Yawn! It will definitely be someone boring as the one does not want to be out-shone! I hope it is not Hillary as if he catches a cold, she will be blamed!

It seems we've settled into firm lines of trench warfare in the blogosphere.

McCAIN '08/HILLARY '12

McCaint has to be the most IMMODEST veteran in the history of American veterans. Yes or no?

It IS NOT heroic to seek to PANDER and exploit veteran status for cheap political or other lesser ends.
Such a pandering behavior of a 'veteran' diminishes any military stature one ever achieved.

Notice that while running for the Presidency, Al Gore and John Kerry did not ceaselessly exploit their military service, and beat Americans over the head with the fact of their combat service in Vietnam!

McCaint is therefore prostituting his service for one of two reasons:

1. McCaint is feeling guilty that his record is less than stellar. After all, McCaint has sealed his military record. Why?
It is obvious that McCaint is trying to have it both way: Miss not opportunity to broadcast one part of his military record to anyone who will listen to and laud him; but keep the other part of his military record a closely guarded secret from the American people.

2. Senility is setting in with McCaint.
And so McCaint is doing what many old people often do to get extra attention: Whine about how much they deserve to be 'waited on' because of their prior years of service.
