Oh, That Joe! (Number 2 in a Series)

August 29, 2008 5:45 PM

At the Windmill Ice Cream Shop in Aliquippa, Penn, Sen. Barack Obama, D-Illinois, asked his running mate if he was getting hard of soft ice cream.

"Let's see what we've got here," Obama said as he approached the counter.

"So," he said to Biden, "you decided to go with soft?"

"I'm getting hard," Biden said. "I'm a hard guy."

Chuckles all around as Obama orders his wife a small sundae.

Does it really matter to you how many houses someone has over their policies? Some of those houses also belong to his wife.

This is the equivalent of the gas tax holiday. No logical reason to do it!
Is it because McCain puts his aspirations to be President before the greater good of the Nation?
Is she really the best VP candidate the Republicans have to offer?

This is really a Senior moment from McShame!!

I have a problem with someone WHO DOESN'T KNOW OR REMEMBER he has 7 houses

Are people's lives so empty that they spend time going around making un-funny negative comments about people they don't know and who are devoting their lives to public service? If you don't like the people who are willing to run for office, you should perhaps ask yourself who would put themselves in line for this sort of nasty abuse day in and day out. I think we are fortunate to have these two very bright and fine men willing to undergo the rigors of a campaign like this and then the even harder tasks of running the government. I used to feel that we were fortunate that the other alternative was someone as committed and experienced as John McCain, but can no longer feel that way. Not after his reckless choice of a VP today. But that doesn't mean I feel he would deserve meaningless abuse either. -- Where does all this hate come from?

change, change, change...
hope & change, hope & change, hope & change...
change we can believe in, change we can believe in, change we can believe in...
change we can believe in while exploding the national debt and creating billions of dollars of new entitlements...

hey, stop changing the tag-line, i can't keep up...

Signed, Another Obamalover

Obama assured all of us last night in his speach, that he is his brothers keeper. But his brother lives in a box. So what will he do for us? He also have a problem with anyone who owns seven houses.

Oh yea, that's what we need. A fighter as VP and you people are worried about the inexperienced palin? What a bunch of dodos! So what does the Democratic party have, Steve Erkel and Bluto the bully for President and vice-president! What a joke! I am working as much as I can to get McCain elected in November!

Biden at the convention bragged how his father told him that when he got knocked down to get back up on his own two feet. Then two minutes later Biden said "the problem in America is too many people are getting knocked down and the Government is not helping them get back up"!!

Unbelievable. Why on earth would anybody vote for these two clowns.

PS. Senator Biden: A BATTALION is about 500 men, a BRIGADE is about 5,000 men. You said Barack wanted to send two BATTALIONS to Afganistan when the military is asking for two BRIGADES! You and Obama are IDIOTS when it comes to the military!

You guys really don't get what he said. He's Irish. In Ireland, a "hard man" is the guy that isn't afraid to fight. Doesn't back down. Willing to throw a few punches. I can't believe you didn't know that! (insert 'various countries separated by a common language' line here)

All this is to distract from the questions that need to be asked -- Ayers? Acorn? Rev. Wright?

Posted by: Kerrie | Aug 29, 2008 7:52:09 PM

What about William Ayers ?

Posted by: Daniel | Aug 29, 2008 7:16:13 PM

Biden can't control himself. Truly an imbecile. I'd be afraid to have him in charge.

Posted by: JA | Aug 29, 2008 7:03:58 PM

Biden and obama remind me of a liberal professor and his grad student TA.

Posted by: geevill | Aug 29, 2008 6:55:04 PM

Wilmington to Union Stations on Biden's train -1 hour 10 minutes. A real sacrifice. Ever tried to drive to Dc during rush hour?

Posted by: geevill | Aug 29, 2008 6:53:56 PM

Yes, presidential material, that Obama and Biden. More like a couple of 6th graders at camp. Oh, feel so confident that they will be anywhere near the red phone.

Posted by: decentAmerican | Aug 29, 2008 6:49:30 PM

I guess the "I'll smack anyone who reminds me Obama was 11 when I first got elected" commment was preseason.

Posted by: geevill | Aug 29, 2008 6:40:53 PM

Funny how the way someone reads into Joe's comment tells you more about that someone than it does about Joe. ;)
