Today's Campaign Contest: Count the Young White Women in McCain's Anti-Obama Video

August 12, 2008 9:30 AM

How many young white women professing adoration for Sen. Barack Obama, D-Illinois, can you count in this anti-Obama web video that the campaign of Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz, was sending out yesterday?

One...two...three...four...sure are a lot of young white women in this thing....

Why do you think they put so many young white women professing their love for Obama in what is clearly an anti-Obama video? What would possibly be negative about young white women liking Sen. Obama?

When asked, the McCain campaign says they took the video from local news packages, but of course that doesn't explain anything.

UPDATE: McCain campaign senior adviser Mark Salter writes to say: "All we are suggesting is 'the kids think he's dreamy. But should he be president?'"

UPDATE 2: Looks like the McCain campaign has taken the video off youtube.

UPDATE 3: The McCain camp has re-posted their video on youtube HERE with the explanation that they had to remove Wayne and Garth from the clip. "Video changed per Mike Myers' 'people,'" says McCain spox Brian Rogers. "Apparently we aren't worthy."

Obama is to Neville Chamberlain as Churchill is to John McCain. Now how's that for a comparison? If you want to appease Russia, Georgia will be eaten up. Instead, let's follow John McCain's lead: the G-8 is on course to becoming the G-7 (but it's entirely up to Russia), and forget about NATO exercises with Russia (why should NATO train a de facto neo-Czarist regime with Putin usurping President Dmitri Medvedev?).

To paraphrase a famous New York Sun editorial:

"Nobody sees racism, but that is no sign that there is no racism. The most real things in the world are those that neither children nor men can see. Did you ever see fairies dancing on the lawn? Of course not, but that's no proof that they are not there. Nobody can conceive or imagine all the dangers there are unseen and unseeable in the world."

Have all the states vote all at once with no caucuses for either Hillary or Obama.

******
Sure, because people in small states should not get a chance to vote, right?

Even better, how about ONLY letting Hillary Clinton supporters vote. No one else. Then, maybe, just maybe, she will win. But if Mark Penn is involved, there is a chance she will blow it again!

After this revaluation from Edwards. I think Democrats should redo the Primary again. Have all the states vote all at once with no caucuses for either Hillary or Obama.

Sounds to me like there is a lot of RACISM going on here. I can hardly wait until your children or grandchildren bring home their Iraqi, Iranian, African, Mexican or Jewish babies. Wake up and smell the coffee. What you reap so shall you sow, or so I'm told, if you believe in all that crap.

Well, I say, all you young ones go ahead and vote for the warmonger. You'll find yourself, and if you survive, your children fighting wars in places we have no business being. Can't you just mind your own business and if you want to fight a war, then stay home and fight for better education, better environment and new energy resources. Grow TFU!

Apparently Paris Hilton can think better than John McCain. But that doesn't take much, I think my dog could formulate better domestic policies than McCain.

Didn't McCain have an affair with a 25 year old one of those? And married another one? Maybe he's telling us Barack wants Cindy.

Or worse, Cindy wants Barack instead of McWikipedia.

Rev Wright was also QUOTING the US Ambassador. They weren't his words, he was quoting OUR Ambassador, who had been warning that the US Foreign policy in the region were igniting the flames of US hatred in the region and no one listened. And then 911 happened.

Shame on all of you - playing the R-Card again! It is getting pretty boring - yawn!

It'd be nice if some people would decode their gutter minds and realize that this video is about naive young things who are functioning on about 3 brain cells between them. Americans are turning into a bunch of paranoid potty mouthed dirt seekers. Face it people, Obama is a cult figure who is brainwashing silly women of all colors and some really stupid men too. I thought the Obamabots were supposed to be well educated. NOT!!

Michael: Furthermore, a survey conducted by the Kinsey Institute showed that males with conservative views were bigger consumers of pornography than their liberal counterparts. Lots of pornography depicts well-endowed men of color satisfying actresses which could be at the root of feelings of inadequacy being more prevalent among the group that consumes the most porn in our society - white conservative males.

Michael: I am a psychologist and I think that you may be correct in what you said. I feel that this latest ad is playing on insecurities of men who are not confident with their endowment. John McCain approved the ad, maybe that says something about his self-esteem or lack thereof.

"If McCain is falsely portraying Obama as a self-absorbed rock star, Obama probably has"

He may not be a rock star although he is certainly self-absorbed. It's all about him. Always has been.

Posted by: Mack | Aug 12, 2008 7:16:16 PM

If McCain is falsely portraying Obama as a self-absorbed rock star, Obama probably has every right to portray McCain as a grumpy old man - but how many ads from Obama's campaign have you seen that try to shape the voters' image of McCain. Answer: none. Obama is concerned with the issues that he will face as our next President not at painting a false image on his opponent!

"MSNBC carried an article today entitled...'Can white voters be trusted to vote for a black candidate?".

You lost me at MSNBC.

Posted by: Mack | Aug 12, 2008 7:12:32 PM

Nobody is suggesting that not supporting Obama is racist. If you don't agree with the things that Obama wants to do, then don't support him. But don't spread lies about Obama's religion, birth, ancestry, or personal and expect people not to think that you're racist
McCain makes racist ads. That's just a fact. He may not be a racist, but he sure acts like one.

Posted by: kath | Aug 12, 2008 7:11:56 PM

McCain is a disgrace, playing to the deep seated fears of 'white voters' in particular white men. MSNBC carried an article today entitled...'Can white voters be trusted to vote for a black candidate?". Nothing else matters in this election. What will you do? I don't imagine too many 'white Americans know of the O'Jays but the produced a popular song in the 70's with this poetically verse..."they smile in your face while all the time trying to take your place, the backstabbers."

Posted by: peoples_prez | Aug 12, 2008 7:09:19 PM

What does McCain stand for? What he's saying now or what he said prior to 2006?

McCain is bought and paid for. He stands for whatever stance pays him the most.
