A Baby Toe in the Water
September 17, 2008 9:22 PM
Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin -- who feels she can be leader of the free world, but apparently fears her press corps -- did take a question on AIG in Cleveland, Ohio, this morning -- the first time she's taken a question from the traveling press.
Asked what she thought of the AIG bailout, the governor said, per ABC News' Imtiyaz Delawala, “Disappointed that taxpayers are called upon to bailout another one. Certainly, AIG, though, with the construction bonds that they’re holding and with the insurance that they are holding; very, very impactful to Americans, so you know the shot that has been called by the Feds -- its understandable but very, very disappointing that taxpayers are called upon for another one.”

Because that is one of his legal names moron! Barry Sotero the stepson and adopted son of a MUSLIM MALAYSIAN man his Mother married after his Father ran off back to Africa and left his son behind with no support, no forwarding address, and a no thank you! Of course he waited until the US taxpayers paid a good portion of his college tuition in the form of an international student grant mind you. Libs, useless in my book.

Aaaaagain....!!!
Obama's press availability? No answer yet on this...because it is nil.

Ask her about the AIG bailout
over the next few weeks, and
you'll hear about construction
bonds and insurance - that's
about it - until they hand her
a new script.

I think the McCain supporters have gotten a memo... and it tells them all to refer to Obama as "Barry."
Who knows why.
I guess it hearkens back to olden days, when owners could give their property whatever name they wanted to.
Thank God it is the 21st Century.

Now let's see if she will talk to investigators in the Troopergate hearings.

Barry (The Democrat presidential nominee) goes months without taking any questions and McCain's VP is the focus of attacks of dodging press.
Incredible. Simply amazing.

In a joint appearance, the Republican presidential candidate said defensively: “She has been commander in chief of the Alaska National Guard. Fact. On September 11 a contingent of the guard deployed to Iraq and her son was one of them so I think she understands national security challenges.”
Mr McCain asserted that as governor of an oil-producing state Mrs Palin had “obvious knowledge of the energy security issue”, which was of vital concern to the US.
In her first question and answer session with voters since her shock selection as vice-presidential nominee, Mrs Palin had been asked by a member of the audience if she had the necessary foreign policy experience to be vice president.
She answered confidently: “I am prepared and I am confident. If you want specifics on countries you can play ‘stump the candidate’ if you want.” The questioner however declined the offer.
Its become quite sad.
First off McCain repeats the lie about her being CiC of the AKNG as national security experience when she had nothing to do with national security.
Then Palin offers to name all the cabinet members of Nigeria.
Its like a bad rerun.

She IS Dan Quayle in a dress.
In a joint town hall with McCain,
in Grand Rapids, Mi, yesterday,
she was asked to identify specific
skills and experience she has in
foreign policy.
She drew a blank. Gave a rambling
non-answer.
She's substandard, unprepared and
in over her head for the second
highest job.

AIG - Construction Bonds??????? Huh???
Posted by: Sharonklim | Sep 18, 2008 1:07:13 AM
On the other hand, maybe she just couldn't see her teleprompter and was staring off into space, or Ohio, or something...

OK, so I Googled "AIG 'Construction bonds'" and ALL I got on the top page were references to Palin's comments. She seems to be the only one who thinks that AIG is primarily associated with construction bonds.

Peltier - What's the question - AIG offers insurance and surety bonds to construction companies, architects, contractors, etc - from small to big. If contract work isn't completed within terms, AIG bond would provide funds for penalty/relief/etc. So, impact from AIG going under (without fed buyout) would be that the construction industry, already in trouble, would lose the backing of the bonds, and any state/municipality/business/homeowner would have little financial recourse in case of default/nonperformance.

PHD - pretty typical democrap- fiorinna said NONE of the candidates, not just palin. read the WHOLE paragraph, not just the part you like.

Truth Matters,
I agree and I for one would like to know a lot more about the top of the Democrat ticket. So far, all we have are fools pretending to be reporters drooling all over themselves and asking him questions like he is a little boy unable to answer anything more difficult than his name. Then, I say let's go dig up everything on Sarah Palin.

Staying away from a press corp that wants to eat you alive sounds like a normal reaction to me.
PUMA for Palin!

******************************************* Yes, what business is it of ours who this woman really is? Or how she thinks and her perspective on the issues?
Isn't it much safer just to carefully craft a public image and try to avoid having anybody discover who you really are and whether you have any qualifications to potentially be the leader of the free world.
Especially now that the press has started calling out the politicians on their lies much more than they did in 2000 and 2004. Best to just coast for the next 6 weeks and then it will be too late for anybody to do anything about it.

So she can't even answer questions from HAND PICKED STOOGES!!!
WITH A LOADED PROMPTER!!!
She hit the nail on the head and right into her foot!

I don't know whether to laugh or cry...But the foundation of our country was built on mom's raising their own children...not someone's underpaid nanny. And by the way...I don't use Ajax.

I am outraged that Sarah Palin wants to be our next VP...possibly even President??? I am a 40 year old mom of 2 small children currently working from home. I have about as much experience with my Bachelors degree in Education to be president as she does. I am angry that she thinks she will have the time and energy it takes to raise a family...obviously a family with special needs, not just one baby with special needs. I feel so sorry for her kids as they will get hammered in the press and have no chance for a normal life. Go home Sarah.
