Debra

The Democrats raised taxes on the rich in 1993 and then we had an economic boom. Republicans said it would destroy the economy. Bush cut taxes on the rich 3 times, and look at the economy now.

High taxes on the rich does NOT hurt the economy.

"LOL Debra, these are McGoo's own words. Is that specific enough for you."

Apparently McCain was lying.

Posted by: Ryan C | Sep 11, 2008 3:16:00 PM

I looked at both candidates, my affiliation is to the U.S.A., my choice for the Presidency, will be for the candidate who will not give me more of the same. On Obama choice for V.P., Knowing that Biden and Hillary did not support him during the campaign, he still chose a man with experience and intergrity, that could step in and lead this country, that could provide advise with wisdom and experience to him when needed. Hillary, is there too. We want someone in office who will put "Country First."

Posted by: JBARNES | Sep 11, 2008 3:15:36 PM

The bot use the old "he voted with him 90% of the time" like it means anything...give specifics.
======================

LOL Debra, these are McGoo's own words. Is that specific enough for you. Just call him McSame............same as Bush.

Posted by: oo | Sep 11, 2008 3:14:31 PM

Now all of the repubs are saying that polls don't matter.

You guys are a joke and the McSame campaign is a mobile Ricki Lake show.

McSame is still using carl rove politics, palin is still giving the SAME speech over and over and OVER again....and the "hiding behind feminism" charge is getting weak and sad.

LOOSERS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Taxing the rich who do the investing in Wall St. and run their own businesses will allow for businesses to shut down, employees let go, no more investing in our economy and so it goes. The Victacrats who want hand outs and won't get off their own as-es and work..would love a socialized America. Not me.
McCain/Palin.

"He chose Sarah Palin as the possible, President of the U.S.A., "

And the DNC chose a guy that Hillary and Biden stated was not ready to lead on day one. He even stated that he wasn't ready to lead. Ego first, country last.

"More of the Same"

McCain, supported Bush politics, 95% of the time. What make you think he has changed? He chose Sarah Palin as the possible, President of the U.S.A., was the thought behind this, Country First.
After the brain-washing she will be allowed to speak...then we will know, or will we?

However, it wouldn't surprise me, if she resigns once the election is over, if they win... What a ploy...Values and honesty and Country First, are not high in this party politics.

I forgot, Values and
Righteousness and Country First, is high priorities. But, why would he choose Sarah Palin?

Who would replace Sarah Palin, if she resigns or is booted off the ticket....I blushed, I thought it might be Chaney. Insuring that we have "MORE OF THE SAME".

"Jake, you have to do a simple post on the tax advantages of the Obama plan for middle class Americans (i.e., those who earn less than $600,000 a year).

Here's a link from CNN.com analyzing the two plans:"

Yes let's all go to the non-partisan CNN. They have about as much credibility as MSNBC.

Posted by: Mack | Sep 11, 2008 2:52:09 PM

Obama's tax plan will increase taxes significantly for those earning more than $600,000 a year, by 5 - 8%, even though they will pay less to the govt than they did under Ronald Reagan.

For those earning less than $250,000, your taxes go down.

Anyone in between, you pay only $12 more in taxes.

John McCain, ranking Republican on the Armed Services committee did not attend a single hearing out of 6 held on Afghanistan by his committee.

The McCain comment stems from an Oct. 31, 2005, appearance on the Charlie Rose talk show on PBS. He was asked about winning in Iraq. After discussing issues confronting that country, McCain concluded: “Afghanistan, we don’t read about anymore, because it’s succeeded. And by the way, there’s several reasons, including NATO participation and other reasons, why Afghanistan is doing as well as it is.

Jake, you have to do a simple post on the tax advantages of the Obama plan for middle class Americans (i.e., those who earn less than $600,000 a year).

"I see a landslide."

That will depend on turnout.

But we know from the primaries that Obama has a great ground game.

Posted by: Ryan C | Sep 11, 2008 2:46:23 PM

How come you have Georgie so much? Woken up to the fact that he ran this country to the ground?! You might want to also consider that McCain will run this country down even more.

"Obama talks about reaching across the aisle"

Yes those laws with Republican Senators Coburn and Lugar and his continuing work with Coburn on earmark transparency are examples of that.

John McCain on his relationship with Bush

"I voted with Bush 90% of the time"

McCain's words. Are you saying McCain was lying?

Posted by: Ryan C | Sep 11, 2008 2:45:24 PM

WoW. This is the greatest news I heard in a while. People forget that it's the state polls that matter not the popular vote polls.

This great news for the Obama camp. With Ohio in the mix Obama leads 293 to McCains 245.

Lets not forget Virginia and Nevada. The Obama camp registered 42,000 people in Virginia last month and there are polls out this past week showing Obama leading by 5 in Nevada (red state).

I see a landslide.

"McCain IS GOING TO PUT DEMS IN HIS CABINET...HE REACHES ACROSS ISLES AND WANTS THE BEST AND THE BRIGHTEST, NON PARATISAN!!!!! "

But..but.. Barry talks about reaching across the aisle. He should have reached across the aisle and grabbed that weasel Wright by the scruff of the neck.

Posted by: Mack | Sep 11, 2008 2:40:48 PM

The bot use the old "he voted with him 90% of the time" like it means anything...give specifics. Bozo voted 85% of the time with Bush on matters in Iraq....GET OVER YOURSELVES....McCAIN IS NOT BUSH II! They have never liked each other and do not think the same. McCain IS GOING TO PUT DEMS IN HIS CABINET...HE REACHES ACROSS ISLES AND WANTS THE BEST AND THE BRIGHTEST, NON PARATISAN!!!!! Wealthy ones only taking a $1 a year. He doesn't care who gets credit for pushing through new policies..

Posted by: Debra | Sep 11, 2008 2:38:09 PM

McCain came very close to becoming Kerry's running mate, which means that he is closer to the center.

****************************************
Talk about reinventing!

LOL

A Republican on FOX just said "I think Hillary had it right when she said he isn't ready for prime time, and with Palin getting into his head getting him rattled, just proves that"
Well said....Gov. Palin IS NOT WHO HE IS RUNNING AGAINST....HIS EGO CAN'T STAND THE FOCUS BEING OFF HIM. I WANT A MAN WHO PUTS COUNTRY BEFORE HIS EGO!!!
