McCain's New Line: "That's Not Country First; That's Obama First"
September 20, 2008 10:51 AM
In Blaine, Minn., Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., hit his Democratic opponent for "gaming the system" instead of challenging it.
"That's not country first, that's Obama first," McCain said.

This is awesome. Even on a biased left wing news site like abc, McCain and Palin rule! Not a single negative comment about Palin backed by fact but only the typical left-wing drivel about her lack of experience when their alternative is the less experienced obama. Too funny!

Palin is a sad excuse for a running mate. She knows less than thousands of people across the country. Disgusting.

Is anyone aware that America is arming Poland, Isreal, India, Pakistan, Georgia, Iraq etc. ?

actions against Russia?
Be very careful who you put into office this November, or we might find ourselves with no money in the bank but a chicken in every pot..... and an atomic bomb in the middle of our lap!

Her political experience may not be excessive BUT:
Sarah Palin has worked as the successful adminstrator of large budgets and staff, and has mediated with big business (oil) in a way which was beneficial to her constituents.
She is also the Commander of the Alaska National Guard, a title which includes Palin overseeing military units whose duties encompass serving overseas, search-and-rescue missions across the state's vast landscape and manning key elements of the U.S. missile defense system at Ft. Greely.
These responsibilities were handled so well that Sarah Palin received an overwhelming 80% favorable rating by her state.
Aside from doing an excellent job of raising... and spending.... money for
his campaign, what management positions has Obama undertaken and successfully completed?
Nada!
McCain and Palin!

Rex,
They aren't Republicans anymore.
They aren't deregulators anymore.
They have left their uniforms on the battlefield and fled their own ideals.

Has everyone noticed that the republicans are so ashamed of their record since 2000 that you don't see Bush & Cheney ever mentioned here or lauded by them as having a superior administration.
pretty revealing...
mission accomplished

Hey did you all see the new Obama/Biden flap???
Sen. Barack Obama better not mess with his running mate Joe Biden's guns...or else.
In an out-of-nowhere attempt to re-assure a southwestern Virginia labor crowd about gun owners' rights, Biden -- who regularly scores "F" ratings from the National Rifle Association -- warned Obama that if "he tries to fool with my Beretta, he’s got a problem."
"I guarantee you Barack Obama ain't taking my shotguns, so don't buy that malarkey," Biden said Saturday at the United Mine Workers of America's annual fish fry in Castlewood, Virginia. "Don't buy that malarkey. They're going to start peddling that to you."

To Foreclosure:
Health Care was a hold over from the Clinton admisistration, Hillary couldn't come thru, remember?
Bridges and roads are paid for by fuel taxes both federal and state, then maintained by state.
What is missing from schools is the 3 R's and physical education. Physical education is no longer offered to the "nerds" therefore they are overweight (fat).
Mr.Obama tried to keep the troops in Iraq by asking the Iraqi's to hold off troop realighment untill AFTER the U.S. elections. No congress or president has done a thing about oil dependancy PERIOD. If 95% of Americans need help then we must be a thirdworld country.
The clintom admisistration started the deregulaion problem in 1998 to "Make housing affordable to all Americans". The financial oversight committees are all chaired by democrats, Sen Dodd (D)-Chair banking committee, Rep Waxman (D) House oversight committee, Rep Franks (D) House financial committee.
Sen Obama couldn't give us his opinion or thoughts regarding this financial crisis because "HE DIDN'T HAVE ANY".

If McCain and the rest of the Republicans do so well with their constituencies, why are the local banks in the red states failing? Could it be unemployment related? Isn't that where cheap property was abundant (ripe for property flipping)?
"It's not just giant Wall Street investment banks that are hitting the rocks. Federal authorities moved Friday to seize Ameribank, Inc., a small community bank with eight branches in West Virginia and Ohio."

What McCain & the Republicans are trying to sell is a metaphor for an America that doesn't really exist, or maybe one that could be found 60 years ago. They seem to say look, it's America and everything will be OK... just by saying the word America. That may work in the movies but not in reality. There's nothing wrong with 'saluting he flag' or being 'patriotic'.. but,.that is not a cure for any of the problems that can be found in the U.S. today.
McCain will get near half the vote just by using the 'we're American's' slogan... and saying that he's gonna 'fix the problem', ' fix the problem'..... next I can imagine him saying "2 chickens in every pot".
This country needs some real updating and work, not version 2.0... but something around 6.0 Republicans can't that, their mindset will not allow it to happen, and they're claims of reform are bogus.
That's not to say that nirvana will be achieved with the Dems, but it has a slightly better chance as the Democratic party is just more diverse and open in it's vision.
