Palin-drome

September 24, 2008 6:48 AM

"What is the McCain camp hiding?" asks Jeffrey Goldberg.

"If Sarah Palin becomes vice president, she will presumably have meetings with people who are scarier than Michael Cooper, the Times reporter who seems to have the misfortune of covering her today. I know Michael Cooper; he's a good reporter, but not very mean at all. So, why would the McCain campaign want to keep him -- and other print reporters -- from watching Sarah Palin shake hands with Hamid Karzai, who is also, by the way, a very nice person? What will happen, God forbid, if Sarah Palin is forced into a position where she will have to meet someone who is not so nice? Such as, say, the prime minister of Spain?"

CNN's Campbell Brown says she's had it with the sexist, chauvinistic treatment of Sarah Palin -- by the McCain campaign, which refuses to let Palin talk to the media, since they are apparently terrified she won't be able to handle it.

"Stop treating Sarah Palin like she is a delicate flower that will wilt at any moment," Brown said. "Sarah Palin has just as much a right to be treated like a real candidate as the men do."

Palin the "Unable" is attempting to hold up McCain the "Unstable".

SP - She may be empty but she's only doing and saying what she's been told to do and say.

My thinking is that the campaign knows that she isn't able to handle tough questions and they're protecting her.

She's just a (willing) puppet.

All of the Biden Gaffe # whatevers - at least Joe Biden is saying SOMETHING! Those gaffes are getting old, Jake. You could count just as many for McCain and Obama too.

So far these are all we heard from Palin:

-I am a hockey mom.
-Thanks but no thanks to bridge to no where ( which of course we know as a lie).
- I sold the jet to Ebay ( which is another lie).
- My son is going to Iraq.
---- and nothing else.
She just repeated same things again and again since we first saw her.
She is empty.

What is everyone arguing about? It's pointless. Bush and his republican congress have bankrupted and detroyed our country. It's all over. Enjoy the downward spiral.

James Danley- old news.
Guilt by association, puts McCain in the middle of Rick Davis. Notice how McCains Tycoons are covering up paper trails since the 1980's.
Curious? Will they start banning books from the libraries, that still have those histories?
They don't call me history forgotten, for nothin'. Research with out the media and blogs are a wonderful freedom.

"That is 3 more interviews with the press then Obama!"

Obama has had 3 press interviews this week and a press conference.

Why does the right wing?

Is it because they don;t actually have any ideas?

Pawal1,

They should go to Africa and see how "good" it is when the Press is Muzzled.

A Television Station was shut in my biological Country for reporting the resignation of the President who has been ailing since he got into Office.

Some Staffers of the Television Station were arrested and kept for more than 24 hours in defiant to the tenet of habeas Corpus.

That is what happens when you practice a pseudo Democracy.

Just yesterday, Staffers of the Presidency were administered with oath of Secrecy to gag them from talking to the Press.

That is what happens in Africa. But it is unthinkable for it to be suggested by some in the United States of America.

By the time the Press is put in fetters and gagged in America, then Press will definitely be put in Shackles and Gallows in Africa.

The World is looking for Leadership in America and it breaks their hearts to see what is happening in America presently.

Because McCain knows the media is bias. most of the time.

Dare Nigeria, are you aware that in 1970, William Ayers' girlfriend at the time along with two members of the Weatherman were killed while constructing a bomb that was intended to be detonated at a dance being held at Fort Dix? Hundreds of lives could have been lost! William Ayers in describing what could have taken place he said, "tearing through windows and walls and, yes, people too."

This is a man that to this day wishes they could have done more bombings. It has been reported that his mantra was "Kill all the rich people. Break up their cars and apartments. Bring the revolution home, Kill your parents."

This is a man whose ideology has never changed. Now instead of bombing buildings to make his point, he preaches the same radical anti-America, anti-capitalism dogma from his position as a professor at the University of Illinois, Chicago. And Chicago Mayor Daley employed him as a teachers trainer for the public schools in Chicago. He indoctrinates the teachers who are in turn expected to influence their students with his radical views.

To this day we do not know just how extensive Sen. Obama's relationship has been with William Ayers.

But what we do know is that for five years (1975-1979) Sen. Obama's mentor and "father figure" was Frank Marshall Davis, a Communist Party USA agitator and recruiter. We also know that Sen. Obama studied under the principals of Saul Alinsky, another communist; was mentored by the Rev. Dr. Jeremiah A. Wright, Jr. for 20 years, a Black Liberation theologist; and associated with other individuals who espouse anti-America and anti-capitalist views over the years.

Is it just pure happenstance that Sen. Obama came into contact with these individuals? OR is the old cliche in play here--Birds of a feather flock together!

If Republican campaign itself does not trust Palin to handle an interview, how can the voters trust her.

Posted by: HAHA | Sep 24, 2008 10:56:10 AM

Maybe one day some of you expressing glee at the press' concern at not being able to question Ms Palin, will actually get to live in a country where the press is completely muzzled. It isn't pretty, believe me. (And that would include not having the freedom to contribute to a blog like this and express your views)

Posted by: pawal1 | Sep 24, 2008 10:47:00 AM

@s.b. "The press doesn't deserve to interview Palin. "

In that case, she surely doesn't "deserve" to be VP. The post of VP is that of a servant of the people, not a beauty contest, and not an entitlement. The press represents the people, and asks the questions we can't get close enough to ask her.

""The press doesn't deserve to interview Palin.""

And here I thought those who support the Crown had all swam back to England. Yes, we Commoners don't deserve to hear Palin speak she is so far above us and needs to be shielded from the Rabble.

Wikipedia-Alaskan Independance Party

[edit] Registered members
As of June 2006 the Alaskan Independence Party has 13,542 registered members, making it the state's third largest party, behind the Republicans with 111,526 and the Democrats with 66,218.[5]

On September 2, 2008, the Associated Press reported that the Alaska Division of Elections said that Todd Palin, the husband of Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin, had registered as a member of the Alaskan Independence Party in 1995 and 2000; he no longer is registered as a member of the party, having registered as "undeclared" since 2002.[6] Sarah Palin was never a member of the Alaska Independence Party according to a statement released by AIP chairman Lynnette Clark on September 3, 2008[7]. Clark had the day earlier stated that Sarah Palin was a member, and attended the 1994 AIP Convention, but retracted her statement the following day, affirming that she was mistaken.[8].

Just because McCains Tycoons are trying to play cover-up. The History and people of the party still exists.

Dirty Oil Tycoons will not get my vote

Harry,

Ayers, the man People like you call an unrepentant Terrorist only carried out symbolic bombing of Government locations to protest the unpopular Vietnam War then.

Nobody, not even an animal was injured in those symbolic bombings.

That was the 22 year Old and exuberant Bill Ayers.

Obama was 8 years old then and he was in Indonesia.

The Bill Ayers of today is a Professor of Education at the University of Chicago and he has done more that many of you so called proud-Americans, to lift the poor and down-trodden in Chicago.

It was in the course of his Social works that he met with Barack Obama.

Posted by: Dare Nigeria | Sep 24, 2008 10:17:01 AM

Why aren't the citizens of our country outraged about this? has the republican party so inoculated it's followers as to the importance of the national press? Wake up people, remember what Jefferson said "'If I had to choose between democratic government without a free press or just a free press, I would just choose the press.'"

Posted by: AYC | Sep 24, 2008 10:08:59 AM

Now you're really stretching it, Jake.

If Campbell Brown said it, I know it's bad advice. Her insistence on campaigning for Obama under the cover of journalist credentials is a lot like foreign diplomats running red lights in DC and flashing diplomatic credentials to claim immunity. The only sexism Brown knows about was her own against Hillary Clinton when she, Borgia and Crowley nightly roasted their "sista"

Let Palin be Palin for certain.
