Palin Finally Warms Up to Media
September 22, 2008 8:30 PM
"I want to ask you a few questions, Media," said Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin Monday night. "Let me ask you a few questions."
Lest you think Palin was finally opening herself up for a dialogue with the Fourth Estate, Palin was addressing the citizens of Media, Penn.
No, no change here. The woman seeking to be to a heartbeat away from the presidency without ever holding a press conference remains on the same relatively unaccountable path.
McCain-Palin campaign officials apparently feel the American people should trust her with the button and the world's financial markets without ever taking questions from reporters.
**
"If it were left to me to decide whether we should have a government without newspapers or newspapers without a government, I should not hesitate a moment to prefer the latter."
-- Thomas Jefferson

America and the main street media needs to get some backbone and hold Palin accountable. If the McCain campaign felt that they would lose the election by not letting the VP be vetted by us they would do it. Because we are so gullible (press included), they can get away with this.

So when Sarah Becomes President as one heartbeat away, she is not going to talk with the media because it is slime! Any ole excuse will do. Sarah need to backbone up and take questions from where ever the source. Shes not even taking unscripted questions from the voter. Is thinking on your feet too much to ask from a leader?

we're in trouble no matter who gets voted in

The media seems to be doing just fine making up news and issues all by themselves. She doesn't owe anything to the media they are worthless. Unless you are Obama the media doesn't listen to what you say the just call it an exerpt and remove the part that doesn't make you sound bad. She is taking her case to the huge people and the people hear her. Let the media continue to cry foul when it is their own fault for being such slime.

I am suggesting changing the colors of the electoral map .From Red and Blue, to Black and White. Also I suggest Spanish language to be taught to kinder gardens with American / English like second choice. Fidel Castro and Hugo Chavez like guests of Honor at the day when Obama sworn President.
That is no bad idea, is far better from have another 4 years of Bush administration with the puppet of the far right McCain as President .And then after he pass away have the Pit-bull with lipstick bombing Russia .
Why McCain can’t put together two sentences and Sarah Plain give only scripted interviews? That indicates mental constipation and final state of plain idiocy.
I don’t have any problem in characterizing McCain or Sarah Plain! .They is the Republican nominees! John McCain according to his own campaign believes Republicans are corrupt and incompetent.
Obviously he has inside information
OBAMA is Black but is your last hope to fix this mess!

Zank,
Housekeeper?.... Really?

Looks like small town folks and women are unfortunately important for Obama to win over, now. I'm still irked from being told that I "cling to my guns and religion" to a room full of millionaires in San Francisco. He thinks he has the right to talk about us in such a condescending way and then pander to make up for it. Truth be told, in my eyes Obama is a man (I don't even think of him as biracial) who has a great education and lots of money, but his personality and judgment is seriously troubling to me. Why would you vote against the born alive infant protection law? "It may make the mother rethink her decision" is Obama's reason. I have serious, serious doubts about that man's integrity.

Zank,
Even George Will is now biased against Conservatives according to the rants
here.
WASHINGTON -- Under the pressure of the financial crisis, one presidential candidate is behaving like a flustered rookie playing in a league too high. It is not Barack Obama.
Channeling his inner Queen of Hearts, John McCain furiously, and apparently without even looking around at facts, said Chris Cox, chairman of the Securities and Exchange Commission, should be decapitated. This childish reflex provoked The Wall Street Journal to editorialize that "McCain untethered" -- disconnected from knowledge and principle -- had made a "false and deeply unfair" attack on Cox that was "unpresidential" and demonstrated that McCain "doesn't understand what's happening on Wall Street any better than Barack Obama does."

Jake, give us a list of 10 questions you would ask Sarah Palin.

Regarding your Jefferson quote:
- They did not have TV back in Jefferson`s time like we have now. If they did, he would write a different quote.
- They did not have 24-hour cable TV stations who were giving unbalanced, unfair political opinion in the guise of news.
- They did not write articles in the newspapers of those times about Jefferson`s personal life - he was having an affair with his black housekeeper. Was that or other personal things ever in a newspaper back then???

This reminds me of when Hillary and Obama had their debate and Hillary completely nailed him and won. He piggy-backed on a lot of her answers when he was asked the same question after her. Remember that? Then, he wouldn't debate her again. Remember? He got his as* handed to him in the debate and he was too afraid to debate her again. Where was all the outrage when he was in hiding from debates?
Democrat for McCain/Palin

Steve, Steve, Steve,
Calling what I said a lie, when I put the proof in front of you is something beyond denial.
If you don't see that final response to the question as something other than
concise and direct, well, there's nothing more to say. I no longer feel the need to defend myself against your claim that I am a liar. Have a nice day.

Steve, already been there.
McCains Multi-faces are not swaying me.
I've checked out more history on Obamas crew and McCains. And I have found out McCains advisors are still controling the Oil Campanies. Ask them to drop the price of Oil.
Or are they waiting to by up the morgages, that McCain does not want to Bailout? Remember Bushes Failed Oil companies? They helped he set those up to. Money laundering? Perhapes. But McCains Tycoon are still playing with America.

@historyforgotten
Do yourself a favor and google "obama oil money"
Posted by: Steve | Sep 23, 2008 3:42:15 AM
Steve, oh steve.
The Intire transcript, just shows that McCains Tycoons are not informing Palin on everything. Her fault? No. But it is McCains advisors fault.
She is taking a fall because McCains Tycoons are loosing, they Oil money. They control Alaskas Surplus. Why haven't they shared with America Yet? They are using Sarah as a puppet.
Vote 'No', to Mccains Tycoons.
Vote 'YES', to lower Oil Prices and a Free America.

Ummm, it is not a lie.
Read it any way you chose.
If it's good enough for smarter than a 5th grader then I suppose you consider that a pass.
I'd be careful about what I call a lie.
------------------
Umm, it is a lie. Let me guess, you're going to repeat the Obama/media talking point that vp's from the past thirty years have met heads of state before being elected. Let's look at Palins quote again -
PALIN: I have not and I think if you go back in history and if you ask that question of many vice presidents, they may have the same answer that I just gave you.
This may come as news to you, but the history of the United States goes back much further than thirty years.
As for the fifth grader remark, most fifth graders are able to speak without saying "uh" and "ah" between every other word the way Obama does.

Does not matter how many show up at anyone's rally, it only counts when they show up at the voting booth...so enough of 60,000 or 6 million.
Funny though, before she showed up, McCain couldn't get enough people together who cared to hear him speak.
So, she shows up and all of a sudden we are supposed to think this is a good ticket because they get tons of people to come see a novelty?
And yes, as an informed AMERICAN citizen I do want her to talk to the media and answer my question, I don't vote on blind faith.
I even ask about merchandise before I buy it, so I sure as hell want to know about someone who will be seconds away from a button that could end my children's lives.
She is trying to buy my vote, then give me something more then just parroted gibberish that she has been spoon fed.
Biden had been on Meet The Press I believe 42 times, we have heard from Obama many more times and we know where McCain stands....where does she stand besides next to him?
It is your right as a citizen to know what the government is offering you for your vote....won't you feel stupid when you wake up from the morning after the night before, and see you put someone in who hasn't a clue and who do you blame then?
Just my own opinion, and I have as much right as you do to voice my thoughts, I will fight for yours as well and not try to change what you believe.
