Questions About Biden's Real Estate
September 06, 2008 11:45 AM
The Wilmington (Del.) News Journal takes a look today at some of the real estate transactions of Sen. Joe Biden, D-Del.
Biden is one of the least wealthy members of Congress, but he enjoys a splendid home because of real estate deals with political supporters.
The Bidens live "on a four-acre lakefront estate in a 7,000-square-foot custom home" in Greenville, Del., a property worth at least $2.5 million.
Reports the newspaper: "In 1996, Biden sold a home in Greenville for the asking price of $1.2 million -- more than six times what he paid two decades earlier -- to John R. Cochran III, a top executive at the MBNA credit card bank that was a longtime political benefactor. Using profits from that sale, Biden paid $350,000 cash to real estate executive and developer Keith D. Stoltz for 4.2 vacant acres -- a long, narrow lot a few miles from Biden's old home. Stoltz had bought that same lot five years earlier for the same price…
"Although Cochran paid Biden's asking price, Stoltz wrote in an e-mail to The News Journal that 'the residential real estate market was soft' when he was selling his lot.
"Biden would not agree to be interviewed, campaign spokesman David Wade said in a written statement, because of 'time constraints -- he's going a million miles an hour.' Wade wrote that Biden's deals with Cochran and Stoltz were above board, and involved no special favors. 'Just like millions of Americans,' Wade wrote, 'the Biden family has bought, renovated, and sold their home over the last 20-plus years and been able to have a parent live close by. This is a snapshot of life in America that I think folks can relate to.'"

One can sure tell that no one in the Obama camp was ever a Boy Scout. Boy Scouts and school classes instruct on how to dispose of an American flag. And it certainly is not stuffing it in the trash. I think the Obama people respect the American people the same way they respected the American flags. They don't. It is simply about Obama and his need for power.

Both Obama and Biden have housegate issues. Let's just close our eyes and hope no one reports on it.

McCain has 169 lobbyists working for him including his campaign manager.
Obama has zero.
McCain is more of the same.

Liberal Media will not report it.
Jack can you ask ABCNews to show that in the evening news

I am still stuck on Obama's comments yesterday:
"They say he is Muslim"
Nobody has ever said that from the McCain campaign. Hillary's campaign was accussed of it.
I think Obama is edging more and more to his mentor Rev Wright with "imagined" enemies and "crazy rantings" on how "they" are attacking me.
Rev Wright was scary enough without Obama slipping into the role of black victim.

Must be a slow news day. No story here. Yawn.
Go Obama/Biden!

Biden is for the American people:
He backed the banking industry by protecting them and preventing consumers access to bankruptcy claims.
He backed the insurance industry by protecting them and preventing workers from filing lawsuits over asbestos poisoning.
His son is a lobbyist. His clients? The banking industry and insurance industry. His son is on a $100,000 yearly retainer from these lobbyist groups.
On economics Biden is a dimwit. Who, having earned a 6-figure government income for over 25 years has a net worth of $75,000? Obviously not the
brightest bulb.
Another McCain/Palin Democrat here in Ohio !

Country First
What ELSE are they going to do with the flags? I'm sure they did the same thing every convention has done for decades. Would you have been happier if they used no flags at all so that none could be "dis-respected?" No, then you would use that to say that they hate America. Of course, now you claim that they hate America anyway, so obviously the real world doesn't affect your opinion much.

Say it ain't so, Joe! WOW! Obama's decision to put Hillary CLinton on the bench and promote Joe "Big Mouth" Biden to the #2 spot on the ticket is really looking like another "boneheaded" move by The One.
Joe Biden is just NOT VP material! he has run for POTUS numerous times and never gets any support. And Obama has ZERO experience to be POTUS. What a team those two male senators are, huh?
NOT!
Joe Biden will not release his US Senate seat b/c he knows Obama is a loser. Biden took one for the team b/c the other people (Hillary, Bayh, et al.) told Obama to shove it! Biden is just going thru the motions. His speeches put people to sleep. He is not in it to win it. He's in it b/c he was th eonly one willing to take Obama up on his offer.
Just wait until the audio and video start to actch fire where Biden talks about his involvement with lobbyists (including his own, a lobbysit)! Jake, I hate to say this, but you should look into the lobbyist connection of Joe Biden. Biden's adult son is a Washington, DC lobbyist for credit card companies. Obama refused to support a cap on credit card interest rates. Biden work in legislation to benefit the purchaser of his home - at full price - is very alarming.
Quid. Pro. Quo. Like. Obama. And. Rezko.

No, you can't sign for me or other dems...that is not your right....you can sign some way that speaks to you....such as faux dem for McCain/Palin or deluded person for McCain/Palin...but not like you speak for any person other that yourself.
And I am not bigoted...just feed up with whack jobs that have IQ's smaller than their waists size trying to speak for me and other dems who wouldn't vote for the republican duo because we believe in a party platform.

Hum...maybe they are getting ready to pick a new VP candidate. Why can't we have some of the truth about Obama Huinsane? Guess we are afraid of the "uppity" person. Where is his real birthcertificate??? That is a most important question!!!! Hope someone out there finds it soon.

Say it ain't so $150,000 Joe!

As a Realtor - this is NOT a big deal. Leave Biden alone on this ONE thing, everyone buys, sells homes - and hopefully - they make a profit.
Let's look into more important issues - like obama's radical associates.

Please don't insult true dems by signing something as
Dems for McCain/Palin
There is NO, I repeat, NO, true democrat that will vote for this duo to continue the same failed policies of Bush/Cheney.
This McCain/Palin ticket is just a short step away from violation of church and state. We are not electing a religious leader or declaring a state religion.
If McCain/Palin and the ultra-conservative right that now controls the republican party win, I don't know if it will be announced by media or if we will need to wait for the white smoke to rise from the capitol!
