After Dedicating Crass Song to McCain/Palin, Jay-Z to Rally Obama Supporters in Ohio
October 23, 2008 11:52 AM
The Obama campaign announced today that Jay-Z and NBA star LeBron James will hold a "Last Chance for Change" concert in Cleveland next Wednesday.
The announcement about Jay-Z comes a few days after he dedicated his 2003 song "99 Problems" to Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., and Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin.
The lyrics to "99 Problems" include the famous line:
"If you're havin' girl problems I feel bad for you son
I got 99 problems but a bitch ain't one."
According to MTV News Jay recently dedicated the song to McCain and a "homegirl," whom he described as "the one who says 'You betcha.' "
"I'm gonna get in trouble for this," Jay said, laughing, "but f--- it, this is freedom of speech."

Palin has more expertise in Economy than Obama, more executive experience and more history fighting corruption. Obama was a politician in the most politically corrupt city in the U.S. but never spoke out against it.

It may have been alot out of line for Jay-Z to dedicate that song to McCain we need more positive things in this campaign and not so much negatives

Dimples,
where does one buy a $300,000 suit? Also, I wonder what benefits one gets from charging $800,000 a month on a credit card- that is like 40 times the spending requirement of the AmEx black card, impressive...

America is sexist, racist, and whatever else ends in ist. McCain is also sexist he was in the Military!! So if you think that Palin belongs in the whitehouse because she is a woman, then should not call yourself a woman. Most woman are married to men who are sexist, its just how these men were raised and how this society has allowed it along with sterotypes of black people and spanish and all other non Anglo-Saxons.
This vote will be important because sooner or later the way Bush has screwed this country we may need water and food from other countries. When you don't make the economy fair, you will have more crime, which is starting, State Budgets are struggling, Layoffs, homelessness. The list goes on. All this equals 3rd world country. So keep voting for people who live in 13 homes, and have no clue about the economy because they are a kept man. His wife wearing $300,000 suits and spending $800,000 a month credit card bills. How can he know what the average american is going through? But yet Obama is an elitist? His wife wears dresses $110.00- to $200.00, shops at walmart, gap. Shakes peoples hands, check out the last debate, Cindy held her hands behind her back and stayed 12in away from the audience. Who wants a first lady who can not shake your hand? Yes she does charitable work, and they adopted and Indian baby, but she is not first lady material.

Obama hasn't won it--Joe the Plumber and Joe the Gaffer are holding him back. He won't even let Joe the Gaffer give the state of the party address while he's out of town. His wife is going to give it. As far as changing the words to 99? It doesn't matter because everybody knows what the original words are and that's will they'll be thinking. Obama disrespects women and will not be getting many of their votes because of it. He needs to pay equal money to women. He needs more women in high positions.

Methinks Deanna needs to brush up on her understanding of tax law.

There is no excuse for this. Obama should denounce this misogyny and kick JayZ off his campaign.
I will NEVER vote for this enabler of woman hate.

Somehow I just don't think a Jay-Z song is dignified for the office of President of the United States. That is why McCain/Palin will win the oval office.

Brian,
They're not lying because I don't like what they have to say, they're lying because, well...they're lying.

Deanna, your comment about your husbands employer is interesting. i think you might be a little off though: if his employer's gross is over 500k, i'm guessing your talking about annual sales. after payroll and deductions, your saying their net income is 40,000? if they are only reporting 40,000 in taxable income for the year, then they would get a tax cut under Obama as well. yeah, everybody wins under Obama's tax policy!!

I've seen that Obama has the right temperament to mend wounds and advance the Country....
--------------------------------------
Yeah...Obama is really mending wounds and bringing people together now, isn't he....kind of like he is turning the middle class against the very people that provide jobs for them and invest into the economy. Damn those successful people who keep me gainfully employed. They should suffer for their success and hard work.

Same policy analysis also points out how much bigger a tax cut Obama gives to many more people in the middle & working class.
---------------------------------------
I used the tax calulator and Obama's tax cut is only $600 more than McCains. Sooo...how is his $600 supposed to really help me out. Will $600 solve all of your problems?
Now, my husband works for a small business (office furniture dealership) with 4 sales people. Their gross income is well over $500k...but their profits are only around $40,000. With Obama's tax increases on them, not only will my husband not get a raise, we will probably lose our benefits through the company.
Again, I ask you...what good will Obama's $600 do when we lose out benefits and forego our annual raise to keep up with inflation.
Now, with McCain's tax cuts, not only could we preserve our benefits and get our annual salary, the company could afford to give Christmas bonuses. This, I would gladly trade my $600 tax cut for.
This is not rocket science people. It's basic economic law.

Nov4IsComing, I couldn't have said it better. If you want a preview of the excuses that will be made when McCain gets trounced in this election, all you need to do is listen to talk radio. The Limbaughs, Hannitys, etc., are already laying the groundwork for right-wing grievances. It's brilliant. Transparent, but brilliant.
----------------------------------------
So...because you don't like what they have to say...they are lying? Perhaps you should do your own research...they are just calling it like it is. They have never called him a Muslim or a terrorist.
Nevermind...this is pointless...Obama could come out tomorrow and say that he is working with Al Quaeda and all of you would overlook it and say it's ok because we need change. It's sad that America has been brainwashed.

you all seem to hate the evil rich people...but if we tax them all until they are poor too, who will provide a job for you? Or I guess the better question would be who will pay for your government handouts?

Brandon: What Chicago are you talking about. Maybe we have 6 million people if you count the suburbs--no way 10 million. Whitney Young is 30 percent black and 30 percent white.
Before you post, get your facts straight.

McCain has all of the training. Obama isn't a Republican. McCain is tight, clean and clear. Obama is young and looks like a zillion dollar male model. McCain likes plumbers. Obama likes,,,,,,,,,.McCain wins........
