Another Man Yells 'Kill Him!' About Obama At Palin Rally
October 14, 2008 7:01 PM
The Times-Tribune of Scranton, Penn., reports that at a rally for Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, it got a little ugly again.
From live-blogging:
"Chris Hackett addressed the increasingly feisty crowd as they await the arrival of Gov. Palin.
"Each time the Republican candidate for the seat in the 10th Congressional District mentioned Barack Obama the crowd booed loudly.
"One man screamed 'kill him!'…
"The outburst came during a round of booing from the crowd after Mr. Hackett said Mr. Obama should come to Pennsylvania and learn what the state's values are."
Couple thoughts.
One: I'm a Pennsylvanian. "Kill him" is not representative of the state's values. Nor is this, from Palin-haters.
Two: Interesting post from the conservative Ace of Spaces about such yellers. "Some Republicans are, alas, the exact same sort of unsophisticated angry morons who shout things like 'Terrorist' about Obama when McCain is speaking, thus putting him on the extreme defensive, or having temper tantrums on blogs when the proprietor requests they refrain from exposing him to any lawsuits. They substantially vindicate every stereotype the left and MSM has about us, and make the rest of us not only look bad, but make us squeamish from even being political associates. And they lose us precious votes….Wanna know why we're losing? Wanna know why McCain had to make a statement about Obama not being dangerous and being a good and decent man? Because you geniuses embarrassed him with your stupidity and compelled him to say that."

I find it humorous that people honestly think that this country will go to hell in a hand basket if Obama wins. Sorry folks but we're already there. You're basically witnessing the last throes. Bush for eight years has gotten us into wars for profiteering and entertainment value because killing people in the Middle East is a joke to most people here, it's gotten us bankrupt because there's no oversight on the banks and hey, Lehman Brothers had his cousin and brother at the helm when they went belly up, and any freedom we may have had is long gone. And the Republicans just throw any stupid broad at me and think I'm going to vote for that dingbat because she's a woman? Get real folks.

Obama to me seems to be anti-American.
Getting people like him into our contry to take over is an out cry to what I believe in , Freedom. He can have my guns when he take them from my cold southern born and Georgian dead hands.
I don't believe in his bull mess changes, it's all for the worst. This country will go to hell in a handbag.

Mainstream media is a joke, and now, thanks to their performance in this campaign, everyone knows it.

Where is the apology from the media? All propaganda news to make all look everybody racists. Shame on you media!

Need more proof?? Democrat Pennsylvania congressman Jack Murtha called voters in his own district racist. I presume since he is a democrat his voters are as well.

According to the Secret Service, who investigated the (alleged) incident, the only person who claimed that anyone said "Kill Him" was ... the reporter. They couldn't find one witness.

All the media should be correcting the public's understanding on this. This is very important. The image has been created of possible mob violence on the Republican side. Evidently if you're a Democrat, Democratic anger and insults don't strike you as threatening or offensive while Republican anger and insults do. Most importantly, the media should set the record straight on this so as to stop feeding the impression that one party's candidates and its members would like violence. That sort of impression of the atmosphere, that things are almost to the point of riots, which is false and a distortion, could possibly encourage somebody to try something.
And yes, many Republicans are angry and fed up with how this campaign has gone, and how the media has taken Obama's side every time, and how it has, while hardly ever lying outright, distorted most everything and allowed Obama to get away with the same. It's been like watching some kangaroo court. But anger is allowable in democracy - there has been plenty of Democratic anger. And what about angry liberal protesters? Making one side's anger seem dark and threatening when it isn't is not right.

Are you going to update your blog post or not? That's what most bloggers do when they're called out on a falsehood. Seems you don't even qualify to be a blogger, much less a journalist.
Hack.

The story is false, imagined by a "newsman", and reported as fact. But if you find one man yelling "Kill him" in a crowd of thousands so outlandish and "over the top", where have you been for the last eight years when the angry left, in numbers in the thousands, has been parading signs showing Bush decapitated, hung in a noose, impaled anally, etc. People who have demonized Bush in the moste irrational and violent manner, and suggested constantly that his death would be a good thing for the world, are the people that are salivating over Obama. They are the ones you should fear.

Eat crow much?
Obama called out Palin in the debate for this LIE ?!?
We demand an APOLOGY!
Posted by: foobar | Oct 16, 2008 2:52:12 PM
Jake-- you should apologize and ask for formal one from Obama.

I wonder what the polls would look like without all three networks doing their best to shine a positive light on Obama
and taking shots at McCain constantly.
It must be nice to have the liberal
networks behind you as most people don't
watch cable for news.
Journalistic integrity is a dying or already dead concept.

So, Jake, where's the apology for foisting this falsehood on the American public? All the MSM ran with the story-- our newly minted Nobel prize-winner in economics accused McCain of fostering "a Weimar-like" atmosphere. Now it looks like we've got the usual suspects in the newsmedia fosetering an Orwellian-like atmosphere.

So Emily Litella is doing the news now?

Ace of Spades is right, but he also alluded to the possibility of agent provocateurs. Something to keep in mind agent provocateurs do exist but there are no cement numbers. Based on what is known I would presume they are small numbers and poorly organized.
What's curious is how sensitive certain media outlets are to the potential of an idiot from the (R) side. While we watched riots, vandalism, "kill bush" and the socialist party pressure constituents at the DNC. It seems as there is a bias when we watch common news resources try to scratch an itch that isn't even there. This is largely why media is as untrusted as senate. You guys can some ground, report both sides and take out the trash.

Get your ears checked, ya bum!
Posted by: dave | Oct 16, 2008 1:53:00 PM
And now we find out it never happened. Hmm. Any comments on that mister Jack Tapper? Apparently, not only would it annoy a republican if someone shouted something like, now we find out no one did.

Unbelievable apologetics for Ayers here from some commenters. He DID want to destroy the US- the entire purpose of the Weathermen was to start a Marxist revolution and end capitalism. They were not against war and killing, they just wanted the North Vietnamese Communists to win. Read some history if you are not old enough to remember this time period!
Peace-loving, my ass.
How can you not know this and yet feel qualified to comment in any way about Ayers motivations?
BTW, it's Ace of Spades, not Ace of Spaces.
