Biden Vouches for Obama in New TV Ad
October 15, 2008 7:19 AM
Airing here in Ohio, among other places, is an Obama TV ad that responds to an attack ad from an outside group.
And what's most interesting is the ad uses Sen. Joe Biden to vouch for Sen. Barack Obama.
The original attack ad -- from the Judicial Confirmation Network -- points out Obama's ties to unsavory characters such as "slumlord" Tony Rezko, Williams Ayers, and Rev. Jeremiah Wright, and suggests Obama would appoint similar breeds of cat to the Supreme Court.
The response ad features Joe Biden saying:
"Seen this ad questioning what kind of people Barack Obama would appoint? Well, I chaired the Senate committee that reviews judicial nominees. I know Barack Obama. These ads are ridiculous. Barack loves his country, he's condemned the acts of those people, they don't work on our campaign and they won't work in our White House. And if you want to know what kind of people Barack will consult with as president? Well, you're looking at him. False ads won't solve our problems, but real change will."

This is the same guy that said only months ago that Obama was not qualified to be president and Obama played politics with lives of our troops when he voted against funding. Of course, all that changed when Joe got picked as the VP on the ticket.
Maybe its just me but its hard to believe anything Joe say since Joe has showned to be so consistent with his words....not!

CrystalD,
Gee, duh, why do you suppose that Obama picked Joe Biden for VP?? Joe only accepted on condition that he would be an adviser and have input.

Thanks for the laugh! Woot! Using Biden as a rebuttal!
Must be because there is not one politician in the democratic party that can get up the intestinal fortitude to risk their career to vouch for Barry.

If you've noticed, McCain's attack ads about Obama don't seem to be working. Obama seems to be climbing steadily in the polls and has got a handle on Florida and is closing in in Indiana, after having stolen Virginia (where he is now leading by around seven points).
I guess it's because people saw Obama for themselves at the presidential debate and thought: Hey, he doesn't look like a crazy radical nor does he seem like a terrorist. And he said it: We will kill Osama!

The more of these dopey, false attack ads that McCain puts up, the lower his approval ratings sink. Perhaps the Obama campaign should help fund more of them.

Like I'd believe ANY article on Obama that was put out by the National Review? HA! To quote Joe Biden: MALARKY!!!

Bush won with Karl Rove thuggary, and he did so much damage that it is hard to know where to begin reparing it!
And John McCain has sold his soul to the same people! Winning is more important to him than this country! If he really put country first he would have chosen someone substantial for VP!
Now they run a TABLOID campaign!

Joe Biden is the reason we will be voting for Obama.
I bet McCain doesn't put out a clip that says he will be relying on Palin for council!!!!
Geevill, You sound like a broken record - like McCain, in fact.

Len - I agree and becuase of these policies we will see cynicism grow and with that the flood of capitol and talent out of the country.
One can win with ACORN thuggery, but it will not result in a prosperous nation.

we all know mccain has no one to rely on, sarah palin? please.
and geevil, you only need to look to alaska and see not what a family member has been accused of doing with their position.
the abuse of power associated with troopergate, is not the first time palin has misused her office.
do try and be fair and balanced, i know you have already made up your mind, but don't close your mind to the fact that palin and mccain have their problems also

Obama supporters claim that their bottom up tactics have upended the Reagan Revolution and are putting the country back on the right path. Except that bottom up approach is not how he is winning.
The Obama campaign is cheating and Obama is lieing.
This election could have been about trust. Instead, it has become about fraud and intimidation.
As a result, an Obama win will be the beginning of a deeper penetration of cynicism and mistrust into the American psyche than even Bush managed ineptly. This time it is being done expertly and there will be hell to pay for it.

My hope is that Couric's fortune will be the first to be redistributed in the "fair" plan of having the bottom 45% get refund checks from the rest of us. It is only fair - even to Biden.

So, Obama will rely on the likes of Biden to make decisions? That's all I needed to hear!
Vote McCain-Palin!!!!

I am sorry, Mike. Fill me in. Was the Enlightment before, during, or after the period in which Palin claims dinosaurs and man walked the earth together? And could they both see Russia from Alaska?

Now that is has been revealed that the man McCain named to head his Presidential transition team, William Timmons, was working with two guys convicted for lobbying for the Saddam Hussein regime, I think Obama supporters should quit trying to clear the air about William Ayers. Let the McCain people shake their angry "Obama Tire Gauges" against the cold dark night.

Critical ad of Barack Obama is stooping quite low. Those stories have no basis! They have already been checked by almost all news outlets, fact checks, etc long time ago. Found False and misleading.
John McCain is lucky Barack Obama is not attacking John McCain. He has a long horrible association with people who actually have/will hurt America. His past actions throughout his political life are not ethical.
List
(1)Keating Five- McCain decision - abuse of power - Ethics Law - Wife even continued her business association with Charles Keating post conviction and prison sentence. Cindy made lots of money
(2)Gordon Leddy - same gentleman who plotted Watergate Break in, plotted to kill multiple high ranking Washington people - Convicted and sentenced to 5 years in prison - John McCain enjoyed fundraiser at his house - May, 2008 appeared on his radio talk show calling him old friend - and publicly in writing supported his efforts in Watergate?? This is same gentleman who said if FBI agents tried to get him he would aim for their head stated publicly on his radio show. History of this man is most alarming!
(3)Adviser chair to MCcain transition Team is lobbyist advising for Sadam Hussein. Found guilty for his actions.
(4)Cindy McCain's Father indicted 2 x and went to prison once. Associated with Arizona Mafia and got his liquor license for taking fall prison sentence for Mafia Marley of Arizona. 1950's
These are just a few examples of McCain many ties. MCain has always used questionable ties. After Srah Palin-John McCain enticing crowd rage to shout "kill him", "off with his head" and neither stopping these dangerous threats. Assassination is against law!! John McCain and Sarah Palin both lie right and left and approve of encouraging crowd hate. Mob rage is close to dangerous levels. Results - problems beginning across the country. If someone is killed - can they be prosecuted???

2 points:
1.) Who's his target audience? The 25 people that voted for Biden?
2.) They shouldn't put him on TV until that botox swelling goes down. He looks like some freakish alien with that abnormally smooth forehead and taut eyes.
