Billionaire Dolphins Owner Wants to Sell Team Before Obama Takes Office and His Taxes Go Up

October 27, 2008 8:08 PM

H. Wayne Huizenga -- one of the richest men in America -- wants to speed up his sale of 45% or more of the Miami Dolphins to Stephen Ross because he anticipates Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., will win and his taxes will go up, the Sun-Sentinel reports.

"I'd rather give it to charity than to him," Huizenga said. "If you do it this year or you do it next year, the difference is humongous because of the taxes."

If he is allowed, he wouldn't even pay tax.

A man like Wayne Huizenga should be investigated for Ta Evasion and Tax Avoidance

Obama has a solution. Spread the wealth and have the government take over the football teams with your money.

Of course most companies that did not want to leave America because of pride will now leave thanks to OBAMA

OBAMA OBAMA OBAMA

Huizenga is such a reviled ass in South Florida, Obama should get a tape of his comments and put them in a campaign ad. Dolphins fans would be glad to see him sell the team, and soon. It'd pretty much wrap up Florida for the Democratic ticket.

AV . ...

Get real . ... Bush and the Republicans have bankrupted the country!

You don't have any personal wealth left unless you are filthy rich and one of the favored under the Republican regime of the past 8 years.

Have you not being paying attention to the Economic news? The wealth is gone, people have already lost their homes, lost their jobs.

The Republicans have already taken and destroyed the wealth. It's now in the hands of the oil, banking and military/industrial pals of Bush, Cheney, etc.

They have looted and largely destroyed the country.

We'll all be lucky to avoid a deep recession or worse given where the last administration has left us.

The electorate is about to rightfully boot the Republicans out of office. We can only pray to God they haven't damaged the country completely.

Any rich person who is going to destroy America over a 3% tax increase is sick indeed.

Hopefully my last post tonight,
When you threaten the rich they fight back ir higher taxes. The loser is the little man like us. We have lived in the privileged society for so long you have no idea of a depression. I know becxause I listened to my grandparents and parents. It was extreme. It will be more extreme this time. When the last depression came did the rockefellers, carnegies, etc fall by the wayside. ie the rich. No instead they increased their empires and became bigger. The onbly ones who suffered was the little guy. The poor of today willl survive for they are used to struggling. The middle class with all their frills and excesse4s will suffer greatly. When is the last time they needed to scrounge for food or fuel for heat. Look at the last depression and multiply its effects by a factor of at least 2 if not more. Are you ready for that??????? But hey you don't want to listen or research it. You think you know. Choices and consequences

veteran, listen up.

thats exactly why we are going socialist.

the rich wont pay their fair share , so we will just take it. simple?

and just let the elitist rich try to stop or impede the economy THIS time. we liberals will have the control soon to pass the necessary laws that will SEVERELY PUNISH businesses that dont want to play by the new business rules. punish meaning jail time and a host of other preemptive and retroactive measures that will ensure a competitive but fair marketplace with a high level of corporate responsibility .

so let them TRY those 1920s era footdragging spiteful tactics again...THEY WILL BE MIGHTY MIGHTY SORRY THIS TIME AROUND!!!!

God are you this stupid. The rich will always win. Their wealth enables them to survive while you won't. They won't sit around and let you take their money. they will move it, invest it in Gov't bonds and close thier businesses or move them to other countries and where will you be. You will be in some food line living in a cardboard bos with the rest of the homeless wondering what happened. It isn't taxation. You need to control spending. That hasn't happened. Look for a big bos and hope for company to keep you warm. Talk to your Grandparents or great grandparents about the depression. See what they tell you.

What needs to be done is enfore the immigration laws. Some states have passed laws shutting down businesses that use illegal immigrants. It should benationwide. They need to come into this country legally, contollled and watched. They have X amount of time to become a citizen and learn English. You don't then be deported. We cannnot continue to be the benefactor for the whole world.

"Apparently the difference between socialism and America is a 39% tax rate under Obama and a 35% tax rate under McCain. Who knew? The sales tax in my state has gone up 2% in the last decade, guess I should have been whining too."

odermonger . .. excellent. well put.

Rich control Congress, Congress is mainly made up of Dems. The Dem's have consistantly voted down campaign reform. Rich control Congress and Congress writes the laws with the loop holes, like off shore accounts tax breaks investments breaks etc. So who do we want to blame ever single person in Congress that voted for the Bail Out Plan...Pelosi and the Dem's wrote it and didn't even put in caps for compensations for the CEO's for AIG, and other financial companies. You will see more and more BIG companies moving their headquarters to some other country and more and more American's will lose their jobs. What good will that do us ....OBAMA?

How to treat illegal immigrants
Last October, Obama, along with 37 Democrats, 12 Republicans and independents Sen. Joe Lieberman of Connecticut and Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont, voted to move to a final vote on the “Dream” Act (the Development, Relief, and Education for Alien Minors Act), which would allow illegal immigrants under age 30 to remain in the United States and gain legal status if they attend college or join the military.
The motion fell eight votes short of the 60 it needed for passage.
The bill would also have allowed illegal immigrants, if they passed background checks and became permanent legal residents, to qualify for lower in-state tuition rates at state colleges and universities.
“We should not punish undocumented children who were brought to this country illegally through no choice of their own by keeping them in the shadows,” Obama said, criticizing what he called “the politics of division and fear.”
By voting ‘yes,’ Obama put himself at odds with Democrats from states such as Montana, Missouri, Arkansas, and West Virginia, all of which could be pivotal states in the 2008 election.
Sen. Max Baucus of Montana — who is up for re-election this year and voted against the bill — said people in Montana were “very upset" by the bill. "They’re outraged; it’s like amnesty, it’s virtually
He also voted “no” in 2006 on repeal of the tax on inherited wealth, the estate tax, which is scheduled to rise to 55 percent in 2011. The other side of the fiscal coin is spending. Outlays on rapidly growing entitlement programs, such as Medicare, now account for 44 percent of all federal outlays.
Obama voted against a measure by Sen. John Ensign R-Nev., to require Medicare beneficiaries with annual incomes over $160,000 to pay higher premiums for their prescription drugs in Medicare Part D.

EndofAmerica |
The trend is starting but the Obama led faithful don't resalize it. The rich will ALWAYS control. They have the money to ride it out in style. Someone with money didn't wait. He showd the rich are worried about Obama economics. They will protect themselves and ride it out. They can but we can't as a whole. Get ready for the perfect storm.
