McCain Ads Hit Obama on "Spread the Wealth" Comments
October 23, 2008 2:41 PM
On TV and radio, Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., is hitting his rival, Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., on his "spread the wealth" comments he made to Joe Wurzelbacher, aka Joe the Plumber. The full exchange between the two can be seen and read HERE.
In this TV ad...
...and this radio ad...
...McCain assails the comments as indicative of a big-taxing mindset.
The radio ad features Florida Gov. Charlie Crist saying: "Hi, this is Governor Charlie Crist. Let me tell you why I support my friend John McCain. He will lower your taxes. He will stop wasteful government spending. And John McCain knows that people don't want to 'spread the wealth.'
"He knows that Congress should let you keep more of your money, and not take it away."
An announcer adds: "Your savings, your job and your financial security are under siege. Congressional liberals will make it worse. Congressional liberals plan nearly a trillion dollars in new government spending. To pay for it, Congressional liberals promise higher taxes on American families making over $42,000 a year.
"Barack Obama and Congressional liberals call it spreading the wealth around, we call it higher taxes, bigger government. Either way, it will cost you. Stop 'em before they make it worse."

If McCain is against "spreading the wealth" he needs to come clean with his real tax policy. The only way to not spread the wealth with tax is to have a flat amount of tax. I.e. Bill Gates, Joe the Plumber and Mary Poorperson all pay the same amount.
I can't see that being very popular.

Jwench: I'm a little confused. No I'm very confused. I have made no statement about upside down or right side up or anything else. I had not seen Ashley's picture. After seeing the picture, I have to say that for the first time in my life i agree with michelle malkin. something is off. children playng together leave deeper scratches. cats leave deeper scratches. rose bushes are much worse, to call this a "maiming" or "multilation" is just not right. but this kid clearly needs help and i hope that whoever hurt her is prosecuted and that she gets that help she needs.

why would ANYONE in Michigan vote for B O?
He's the one who denied Democrats of their vote in the primaries.... until, of course he was confident he had bought all the delegates he needed to nab the nomination!
Do you know Obama is known for all the dirty elections he has finagled?
Even this one, is being bought by funds shored up by monies pouring in from overseas.
And whether you believe it or not, ACORN has fudged voter registration lists to favor Obama!
Many of you are thrilled with B O because you think he's the very first black president..... but you are WRONG!
Warren Harding held that honor.
Obama is too late!

I see you all have not lost your fight :
GOOD! Because we have a lot to do. You! (the American people) are going to have to take back control of your elected government at every level, and set your government back on the right path of service to you, and the greater good of the World.
Barack Obama and the democrats are your best hope of doing that now. Tell your family, friends, and everyone you know to support them as best they can. Because the Bush McCain vote fraud, vote cheating, vote buying, vote manipulation machine is already hard at work to cheat you again. And we all know what a disaster that has been the past 8 years of Bush McCain.
Barack Obama and the democrats will need all the power you can give them at every level of government (Federal, State, County, and local City elected governments). Obama and the democrats will have an enormous mess to fix for the American people, and the rest of the World. A mess caused by the corrupt Bush McCain administration.
You see, starting back in 2000, and before 911, it was mostly the Republican governors, Republican legislatures, and county elected Republican officials that conspired with the corrupt Bush McCain administration to raise college, and university tuitions by the fastest, and highest rate increases in American history. Some state tuitions went up by as much as a WHOPPING! 30% in one year.
The reason the Bush McCain administration did this was to force struggling working class kids into the military to pay for the sudden jump in tuition. Which was forced on them by the corrupt Bush McCain administration, and their corrupt Republican Governors, and republican controlled state legislatures.
See, Bush McCain had plans to get us into all these immoral, foolish, criminal, and unnecessary wars from the start. So they could use these wars to seize power, and later to get reelected. But, for their evil plan to work they needed more volunteer soldiers struggling to pay for an education whose blood they could spill to help them seize more power. Remember Bush McCain's "MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!" theatrics.
The exploitation, and lost lives of these finest Americans is despicable, disgusting, immoral, corrupt and criminal. And it makes me SICK, and ANGRY!
You will have to vote for Obama, and the democrats in overwhelming numbers to overcome the Bush McCain vote fraud machine. Vote early if you can. Then help your fellow Americans cast their votes now, and on through election day. Vote for Obama, and the democrats like your life, and the lives of your loved ones depends on it. Because it does. You will not survive 4 more years of "Let Them Eat Cake" Bush McCain, and their republican allies.
Just look at the mess we have now.
You can fix this mess with your votes for Obama, and the democrats. And REMEMBER, no matter which of us may stumble or fall, the rest of you must continue to surge forward for Barack Obama, and the democrats, and for your-selves most of all. The children, and the World are counting on us.
It's in your hands now. And I know you will get it done.
God bless all of you.

Jeremiah Wright was right.
God is punishing America for her sinful ways. For her treatment of minorities.
Obama will win.

Thanks Ryan C (the real one)
McCain has flip-flopped so much, it's hard to know what he stands for any more.
To make matters worse, he chose Palin as his running mate.
He totally lost my vote when he focused on Ayers instead of the plummeting stock market. I believe he has dementia!

I do know when electronically filing documents from a computer you cannot sign but the signature is assumed. Such as when you file your tax returns electronically you cannot sign them. I will be checking the news to see if anything breaks. If true wouldn't that throw a monkey wrench into the whole thing.

" It's just a God Da** piece of paper"
-George Bush, on citing the importance U.S. Constitution.
"Here, Here", quoted Sen. John McCain.
in response.

"A new St. Petersburg Times/Bay News 9/Miami Herald poll shows Barack Obama leading John McCain by 7 percentage points -- 49 percent to 42 percent -- in the Sunshine State. The poll says the margin is due to independent voters moving toward Obama by a more than 2-to-1 margin.
"Right now this election is about independents — independents and the economy,’’ pollster Tom Eldon told the Times. "Obama is clearly establishing himself as the candidate of the independents.’’
The electorate has had enough of the 8 years of Republicans in the White House. The Republicans are getting the boot from the electorate.
Looks like a Democratic landslide win.

Maybe because it filed electronically, I don't know. It does seem to be a "legitimate site" doesn't it. I just haven't seen any news reports or anything to back it up so I don't really know what to make of it.

Neither have I. It seems something that big would have hit some of the major news organizations if it were indeed true.

Obama is good at one thing, selling cars.
$600 million(plus more on the way)... you are fools!!!
We have an economic crisis and Obama's cure is to donate another $10 to him!!!
Here's the new slogan for the Obama campaign: "Show me the Money!!!"
Crook, just like AYERS/KILPATRICK/WRIGHT/REZKO/AXELROD/ACORN
Don't believe the lies!!!

Ryan, we live in a Republic. Try reading the Constitution instead of working for a candidate determined to gut it.
Lesson as always: lefties know nothing about their government, nor do they care to know. That screws up their fantasies.

I guess you forget the Repubulican President has done that the last 8 years.
Posted by: Jwench | Oct 23, 2008 8:20:05 PM
Republicans have spent more than we bring in for the greater part of 4 decades. The sole Democrat elected within the last 34 years managed to balance the budget, police the world, fight terrorism, while creating 4 million jobs, balancing the budget, and leaving a multi-billion dollar surplus.
Oh No the socialism, the communism, the marxism, the I am an idiot name calling ism.
Vote McCain/Palin to get more of the same Bush policies and personnell that will bring us more of the same GOP.

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - A new EPIC-MRA poll shows Barack Obama holds a 14-point lead over John McCain among Michigan voters.
The poll, done exclusively for WOOD TV8 and our broadcast partners, shows Obama ahead, 51-37. One month ago, the same poll showed Obama held a 10-point lead.
The electorate has had enough of the 8 years of Republicans in the White House. The Republicans are getting the boot from the electorate.
Looks like a Democratic landslide win.

Okay, but what are McCain's positions on the issues? Oh, right, McCain has no positions on any issues whatsoever, except that he'll continue on with the Bush policies and wars that have just about sunk this country into the deep 6. I find I no longer listen to anything that comes out of McCain's or Palin's mouths. I see their lips moving and all I hear is blahblahblahblahblahhatehatehatehate. No thanks.

I looked at that picture and couldn't figure out why the B was written backwards. In no way am I implying it didn't happen. It just seems odd that she would not seek medical help.
