Not a Good Sign: McCain Robo-calling in Home State of Arizona
October 29, 2008 7:15 PM
There should be no reason for the RNC and Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., to be robo-calling Arizonans to attack Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill.
And yet, they are.
A Scottsdale, Ariz., couple received one of the calls today. You can listen to it HERE.
The full script, provided by Talking Points Memo, which first noted this troubling trend for the Arizonan:
"I'm calling for John McCain and the RNC because Barack Obama is so dangerously inexperienced, his running mate Joe Biden just said, he invites a major international crisis that he will be unprepared to handle alone. If Democrats win full control of government, they will want to give civil rights to terrorists and talk unconditionally to dictators and state sponsors of terror. Barack Obama and his Democratic allies lack the experience and judgment to lead America.
"This call was paid for by the Republican National Committee..." etc etc.

I can only think McCain's advisers don't let him read these comments. They keep him high on himself and "Internal Poll" numbers. McCain once the honorable man...cannot you see the forest through the trees...those Americans you went to Viet Nam for are now doubting your integrity, honesty and patriotism. Does that make us socialists and communists?

Negative Campaign, Foul Play, and Lies, backed up by great experience Fighting Wars and Spending Money on the cost of the Middle Class to make the Rich richer? This looks more like we are heading for a 3rd. World War.
We need Honesty, Peace, and yes, we need Change in the other direction! We need Obama!

I'm tired of Dear John's terrorist-like ads and accusations. How can one who says that they are patriotic and loves his country behave in this manner? He first lost his loyalty and patriotism during his first wife and now it seems he wants to disgrace his country, inspite of all the good things that he may have previously done, by behaving in this manner. I'm becomming more and more afraid of him. This is certanly not the the man that I thought was going to be my first choice for president. His negative attack ads has certainly changed my opinion of him as a leader for this country.

I wonder how many people actually listen to these robo calls. I know that when I've received them close to election day, I've just hung up even if the call is from a candidate I'm supporting...think they're more annoying than productive.

It is a blessing to know that the Lord turns the hearts of Kings and the government rest on his shoulders. I am fully persuaded that Barak Obama will represent unity as president in these United States. The last shall be first!!

So what's wrong with giving the people the truth? That's what it is and should be ringing through on every American's phone!
Hey, anyone going to take the day off, like Obama is urging on Nov. 4th? That'll make those small business owners happy. What an idiot slacker attitude....just like the socialist candidate.
NEVER OBAMA.....COUNTRY FIRST McCAIN!!!!

As Joe Biden might say - There's one word for the posts on this thread, over confident.

experience, not an ice berg, sunk the titanic,

I truly believe that the reason why people are against voting for Obama is race. After all that is said and done some people refuse to see anyone of color in office. Obama is very intelligent and that just makes many people upset. I am glad he is running because we need a change, "so bad".

I don't know who is writing your headlines, Jake, but I consider the fact that McCain has to campaign in Arizona a really good sign. Then again, I'm not in the tank for McCain.
Posted by: Flash Override | Oct 29, 2008 9:33:30 PM
Jake, Obama just paid for a 30 minute infomercial seen in his home state of Illinois. Should there be a reason for that? He must be in trouble too!

I am basically sick of McCain and his endless attacks. He always talks about reaching across the aisle but has run one of the most destructive and divisive campaigns in memories

Arizona.
Heh.

We're STILL robo-calling??? Jesus! It's hilarious that he's actually doing this in Arizona!

Lets see there are around 300 million Americans. If you combined Al-Quida and the Taliban , you are looking at , maybe 100000 terrorists. Do the math. Karl Rove scared people to vote in the Village Idiot in 2004 . I hope the American Voters can see through this horsepucky. Enough is enough.
