Obama Jokes That McCain Supporters Should Vote on Nov. 5 (Election Day is Nov. 4)

October 26, 2008 7:06 PM

FORT COLLINS, Colo. -- "Before we get started," Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., said in this key battleground state, "let me just ask you -– how many people have early voted?"

Many in the crowd of 45,000 raised their hands.

"That's what I like to see!" Obama said. "For those of you who did not raise your hand -– first of all, everybody who early voted, raise your hand again. OK, now, keep your hands up. Keep your hands up. All right now -- if you have not early voted then talk to that person who's raising their hand next to you and find out how to early vote. It's easy, it's fun. ... You'll feel morally superior having already cast your ballot while those lazy procrastinators are waiting until Nov. 4!”

Obama told the crowd to visit his Web site to find out where to vote early.

"There are all kinds of ways for you to figure out how to cast your ballot early, avoid those long lines. Now, I especially want you to vote early if you're voting for me. If you're voting for the other guy, you should just wait until Nov. 5. Ha, ha, ha. I'm just teasing, it's actually Nov. 4 is the election."

McCain and Palin: disgrace
under pressure.

McCain is a reverse Marxist -
takes money from the working
class and the middle class
and gives it to people who
are already millionaires and
billionaires.

If you want Marxism in
in reverse and more
Republican economics vote
for the Bush legatee McCain
who proudly stated recently
that he shares a common
philosophy with Bush.

"I need you to go out and talk to your friends and talk to your neighbors. I want you to talk to them whether they are independent or whether they are Republican. I want you to argue with them and GET IN THEIR FACE.”

Obama is so good at that mass rally thingie. Enough to make one more than a little nervous.

Actually, "nevada 2", if you had taken money out of the panhandler's bowl, put that and the $5 you might have tipped the pizza delivery boy, stuffed those in an envelope, and mailed the envelope to the wealthiest person whose address you can find, you'd be redistributing wealth the way Bush and McCain do.

In a progressive tax system such as we have, there is ALWAYS redistribution of wealth - the question is which direction it flows in.

John McCain wants to give huge additional corporate tax breaks rather than cutting taxes on people in the lower tax brackets. That's taking money from those who make less and giving it to those who make more.

If you support a flat tax, John McCain is not your man - sorry to disappoint you.

Brenda - you couldn't be more wrong: You've ascribed policy to Obama that he has NEVER supported or delivered. His voting record does nothing or the middle class. His actions to date relect a guy who will SAY anything - even contradictory opinions - to get a vote. His "plans" have morphed from radical liberal to center to even coopting some of Gov Palin's energy plan after the VP debate, when he saw that people agreed with her. It is not unpatriotic to tax everyone and deliver infrastructure, military defense, and law enforcement to all. IT IS VERY UNPATRIOTIC to tax those who contribute to the country's economy (big business and small business) ONLY and then distribute their earnings to those who will not contribute. That is SOCIALISM and creation o a welfare state. Think of BO's latest economic plan as welfare for all, becasue he intends to punish those who earn, such that thise who do not (for whatever reason) can particpate equally in society. His lifeling work has been to undermine and destroy (think Ayers, Klonsky, Khalid al Mansour, rashid Khalidi, Frank Davis,Dohn) America at her very roots - democracy - and create a socialist nation. Want to know how that works out? Check out Cuba, France, Venezuela, etc...not so great. And, it's not what this great country was built on. I am so sick of his hatespeech towards our country and all things American. I love my freedoms; he means to cut them. Look at his attempts to crush the 1st Amendment in Missouri - the Truth Squads, in Florida the interview with Biden, on the WGN radio interview with Stanley Kurtz that he tried to kill, teh letter to the DOJ to shut down TV stations that ran ads revealing his association with Ayers. He spends $245,000 PER HOUR in advertising!!! That's sick!

Geevil -

That's the best you've got? A comment Obama made after he was elected head of the Harvard Law Review...when he was a student?

Would you please knock off the racist stuff? There are enough real issues out there that you can comment on without diving into the hog wallow.

Brenda: both parties have changed---neither one is perfect---we don't live in a perfect world either and it keeps changing---sometimes for the good and sometimes for the bad.

I think if Abraham Lincoln were alive today he would not be welcome in the Republican Party---he would be seen as too liberal. I don't think Dwight David Eisenhower would be welcomed by Republicans today either---he would be thought to be too liberal. I believe both of them would have done today what Colin Powell did---throw their support for Barack Obama.

I am a third generation Democrat. This year I was holding a sign outside the polls during a Primary Election for a fellow Democrat. A woman who was going in to vote took a moment to tell me that she had been a Democrat for years and her father had been head of a nearby county Democratic party for several years, many years ago. She went on to explain that she could not vote for my candidate because the Democrat party had changed so much that she was ashamed of it. I have thought about that statement, and how I remember the Democratic Party in the past, for several months. The Democratic Party has changed and I do not like what I see. I am now calling myself an American Independent, and with stepping back and taking a good hard look at both candidates (one year of researching all candidates) I will be voting for John McCain. He has served this country since he was a young man and has years of experience.

Government policies that favor and further enrich the most wealthy 1% and big corporations, the republican policies - these need to change to cover the other the 99% of the population.

Since when is investing in education, basic health care for our children, the elderly, the disabled, water and electric infrastructure, bridges and road infrastructure, alternative energy - tell me when taking taxes on the profits earned by our hard labor and increasing productivity these last years - when did that become unpatriotic, anti-american and socialistic?

I've had it, our children deserve a future that is better. I've already voted for Obama.

sarah palin wants folks to vote early also,
so she will not have to be interviewed by the press anymore.

not even fox. mccain certainly does not want to be on fox anymore,
he looked mad as all get out.
i thought- mccain is supposed to be among friends on fox. what does he look so mad?

Just ANOTHER of obolony's "I'm above the truth and free speech" moves. If I don't like it, I will stop it! I will tear down this thing called a constitution and all will worship me!!! I will take your money and feed the baby machines, criminals and dead beats because they deserve what you have. Now shut-up and give it here, NOW!!!!

Posted by: dilligaf | Oct 27, 2008 8:02:15 AM

He wants you vote early before there are anymore facts that would change undecided voters minds and more Joe Biden's gaffes and then Michelle can be proud of her country for the second time in her adult life.

many people have regretted for a long time now what they did eight years ago.
by voting for george bush.

but yes wake up american
our national nightmare is almost over.

we will not let the reps lull us back to sleep for another four years.

mccain will answer for what bush has done to this country.

mccain will not win this election.

Posted by: cheer up,smile,nertz | Oct 27, 2008 7:39:56 AM

there is nothing more obscene than trying to be president because you think you are entitled to it. that is john mccain.
and he thinks he is so entittled to it
he said "watch this-i am going to go and get a women who is not know by the american people. has a little track record and still win"

well mccain will have to answer for bush and his mess up of this country.

mccain will not win this election
and he can thank bush for that.

His 12 year old mentality showing through again.

He thinks this a game.

A popularity Contest.

He has made a mockery of the Presidentail Race and the Country.

Some fools who have had their minds manipulated want to put him in the Highest Position in the Country.

Wake up before you do something you will regret for the rest of your lives.

maryd

palin gets a lot of folks at her rally and she does not give press conference either.
(and thank god she does not-after the two she did-we all found out how little she knows)

Obama's joking goes along with what his campaign is really doing: trying to lie, cheat, and steal throughout the election. Ask Hillary suppporters in caucus states what happened at the polls: they were told to go elsewhere, told to leave before the voting, told to vote on a different day, etc., and these complaints have been formally filed against the Obama campaign.

Obama got where he is today by exploiting loopholes in laws (this is how he excelled in Chicago). He'll do anything to win. His joking about tricking his opponents supporters is obscene, and so is his candidacy.

susie
you are just all over the place with this post.

is bush a socialist?
because he just nationalized the banking system.
mccain has said he does not know much about economics (or picking a vp-to late there-the deed is done)
and mccain will continue the bush economic policies.
mccain will answer for what bush did to this country.

mccain will not win this election.

I hope people will start listening to and see what is going on.

Obama is scrutinized - his policies won't work, he's only there for the blacks (he is also 1/2 white), etc etc.

Look at McCain/Palin - change your story or don't answer or evade the question. If that doesn't work call Obama a socialist. That's OK?

It seems odd that the Anchorage newpaper endorses Obama - and guess where Palin is from? To me that is really sending a message. Think twice before your vote goes to her.
