Obama Tells Virginia Supporters of 'Righteous Wind At Our Backs'
October 22, 2008 6:57 PM
LEESBURG, VA -- "I cant imagine a more beautiful setting for us to be thinking about the last 13 days," said Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., this evening in Northern Virginia. "I've been traveling across this great state of Virginia for months. I've met folks everywhere I go. I haven't seen a real Virginia and a fake Virginia, I've just seen Virginia," he said, in a dig at the comments of Nancy Pfotenhauer, an adviser to Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., who said Southern Virginia, where McCain is stronger, is the "real Virginia," as opposed to Northern Virginia, a Democratic stronghold.
"If you'll stand with me, then I know that we can win Virginia and we can win this election and we can finally bring the change we need to Washington," Obama told the estimated crowd of 35,000. "I feel like we got a righteous wind at our backs here."

Righteous wind? Man, Obama isn't even being subtle anymore.
Famous quote from Chairman Mao:
"The ill wind of opportunism is falling, the righteous wind of socialism is on the rise.
By the end of this year the victory of socialism will be greatly assured. Naturally there will be many struggles ahead and we must struggle hard."

Well said Howard!
THE PERFECT STORM FOR A DEPRESSION ...
A far left Media ...
A far left President ...
A far left Congress ...
A far left Senate ...
A far left Supreme Court ...
This would eliminate all the checks and
balances that our democracy is based upon.
Barack Obama formed his political and economic
ideology, and his radical associations, during the
TWENTY YEARS ... yes, that's TWENTY YEARS ... when
he followed Marxist Black Liberation Theology, in
Jeremiah Wright's anti-American, racist church.
And, now, with our country on the brink of depression,
Obama wants to impose new laws which would change
America into a third world country.
You may be upset with George Bush, but in spite
of Obama's slogans, John McCain is NOT George Bush ...
so don't over react to Obama's 600 million dollar
Propaganda campaign designed to highjack America !!!
A vote for Obama is a vote for changing America beyond
recognition ... and, it would be a vote for voter fraud,
a corrupt media, socialism, and the end to America as we know it.
Keep America free, strong, safe, and American ...
Elect McCain/Palin on November 4th.

Translation:
A self-righteous, sanctimonious, smug, pompous, haughty wind at Obama's back or, a great gust of distasteful hot air! :)

This seems about right.
According to B. Hussein Obamas’ “friend in the neighborhood”, terrorist William Ayers, “You don’t have to be a weatherman to know which way the wind is blowing”.
Thanks for reminding us B. Hussein Obama…

As they fall behind they are getting McDesperate. A McCain campaign volunteer made up a story of being robbed, pinned to the ground and having the letter "B" scratched on her face in a politically inspired attack, police said Friday. Ashley Todd, 20-year-old college student from College Station, Texas, admitted Friday that the story was false and was being charged with making a false report to police, said Maurita Bryant, the assistant chief of the police department's investigations division. Police doubted her story from the start, Bryant said.

Wow, Republicans are getting dumber and more desperate every day. You go right ahead and stay in the 20th century while the rest of us move into the 21st. We're Americans, and we're proud, and we're voting for Obama.

Hey all you spread the Wealth people lets have a flat tax across the board. So everyone pays the same percent if it is 8% or even 20% that would be fair.

Note to Penny:
regarding Palin's qualifications...she is ACTUALLY far more qualified than Obama - or Biden....because she already has EXECUTIVE EXPERIENCE - running a city AND a state...MEETING PAYROLL, BUDGET - and (something our Congress can't seem to do!) came up with a budget SURPLUS - which she rightfully returned to the citizens of Alaska...
don't buy the lack of qualifications...she's just not a Washington insider....all the better. Her approval rate as governor of Alaska is the HIGHEST APPROVAL RATING of any governor in this country!
THAT IS HONEST, REAL QUALIFICATION...Obama is NOT EVEN QUALIFIED AS A CITIZEN - and he should not be running...if this is proven AFTER the election, we will have a mess on our hands...HE IS DESTROYING OUR CONSTITUTION - before he even gets into office...suggested reading: The Constitution, the Declaration of Independence

Note to all you liberals who are defending 'the one' and the Demorats in Congress....you DO realize, do you not, that in spite of what the MSM has told you, up until 2006, when the Dims took control of Congress, our economy was growing at record rates...GDP was UP! unemployment was at RECORD LOWS! Wall St. was soaring!
Then the Dims took control of Congress and - hmmm! - all of a sudden the bottom falls out...Has anyone else out there considered teh possibility that this crash was MANIPULATED by the Dims in Congress - they have hated Bush from Day 1 of his first administration (that's because all their voter fraud still couldn't beat him! - and all the money they spent to BUY the election did not win!) Isn't just a bit curious that this collapse happened RIGHT BEFORE THE ELECTION? and, of course, it's so easy to blame Bush and "de-regulation" - but there's a major problem with this stance...which even most talk radio has not properly addressed! BUSH ASKED FOR MORE REGULATION...but Frank, Dodd and crowd (who got MAJOR BUCKS from Fannie and Freddie) would not allow ANY regulation legislation to even come out of committee...for those who don't understand what that means....it means that the Dims would NOT allow the Senate and/or House to vote on regulations....becasue they WANTED THIS TO HAPPEN! (it helps them...therefore it does NOT matter how many 'little guys' were hurt by this...if it helps them win the election, it's okay in their eyes!) after all, THEY GOT THEIR BIG BUCKS! Raines et all got their BIG BUCKS in bonuses and other "considerations" for - hmmm! new concept here folks....destroy a successful corporation anD make billions in bonuses! SO IT DOESN'T HURT THE SENATORS who REFUSED to allow further regulation (even as they blame Bush for de-regulation!) It doesn't hurt the CEO and other big wigs in F & F-they still get their megabucks 'golden parachutes' - now these same Senators make noise about stopping the golden parachutes....but they have done NOTHING about it! Raines, Johnson adn that whole gang fade quietly into the background with their millions and millions...the Dims come up shining for LYING OUTRIGHT TO THE AMERICAN PEOPLE! and now all you sheeple are willing to vote for MORE OF THE SAME POLICY THAT DESTROYED AN ECONOMY THAT WAS ACTUALLY BOOMING (AND WAS THE ENVY OF EUROPEAN NATIONS) JUST TWO SHORT YEARS AGO....UNTIL the dims took over!
OPEN YOUR EYES! If you plan to vote for Obama....THINK and if so inclined PRAY on it...God would not have you vote for someone who encourages adn will legislate so many sins against the Bible...abortion, gay marriage - the list could go on....
DO NOT BE SHEEPLE....socialism has NEVER worked in the entire history of man! the ONLY people helped by it are those 'chosen' to "lead" - their pockets are well lined with your money while you will be in bread lines!

A "righteous wind" is one that blows away all in its path. Be careful what you wish for. Change for the sake of change is revolution. The one thing we don't want to change is the Constitution. Obama will undo it.

You didn't quote the whole thing, Jake.

You do not have to go very far away, or even look back at all to see the results of a left wing socialist agenda.
You only have to look at Hugo Chavez and what he has done to Venezuela.

Where I come from? What Obama refers to as... a "Righteous wind at our backs?"
If that happens? We say, "excuse me!"
if anyone is caught standing near by.

Pure capitalism and socialism/communism aren't the only choices folks. Obama's plans protect working people and would benefit them more than McCain's plans. People are too dumb to understand that, though.

Who cares about Colon Powell! So what? Do you demorats realize that a former Vice Presidential candidate from 8 years ago is going against his party and backing McCain. That trumps any press secretary or lefty State Department bureaucrat any day.

"I feel like we got a righteous wind at our backs here." THERE IS NOT ONE DAMN THING THAT EVEN COMES TO RIGHTEOUS ABOUT PEOPLE THAT WANT TO "SPREAD THE WEALTH". UNLESS SOMEONE THINKS THAT KARL MARX WAS SOMEHOW RIGHTEOUS.

If Obama wins, and the Democrats hold a filibuster-proof house and senate, this great experiment called the United States of America will be over. We will join the Socialist countries of Europe, and will no longer be the shining city on a hill.

Just plain common sense as well as reading it in the wall street Journal that it is absolutely impossible for Barrack Obama to fund all these programs he says he will put into motion as well give us a tax credit again (democrats) and do all this by just raising taxes on people who make 250k or more. I know Obama supporters don't like to hear that, not attacking Obama but it is documented that it cant be done just taxing the 250k and above, Like the article said the cap is going to drop after he gets into office and than he'll explain why he lowered the salery range. To bad people are blinded by how somebody speaks or looks if they just pick up a paper and read. sad

While I will be pulling the level for McCain/Palin, I won't be doing so with the strongest of convictions. I will; however, be voting for what is, I believe, the "safest" option for America. America needs to step back and look at their ideologies. It's not a "right or wrong" approach to voting that one should have, but a "what is best for this nation" approach.
Do I make more than 250K a year, no, but should those that have worked hard and realized the "American Dream" be penalized, absolutely not. Sure there are those that receive unjustified sums of money for doing not much, but there are many individuals that have accomplished the goal of making themselves successful. I truly believe that not only is Barak Obama not experienced, nor qualified, enough to be president, I believe that he is too blinded by the concepts of the left to be the "transformational figure" that many make him out to be.
I truly don't want John McCain to be president. But I sure as he*@ don't want Barak Obama to be president. The freedoms afforded me, my family, and all other American's are, I believe, at stake in the event that Mr. Obama is elected. There are bleak times on the horizon and I don't believe that Barak Obama has the desire or intestinal fortitude to bring us back into the light.
(This from a socially liberal, financially conservative American)
