Oh, That Joe! (No. 31 in a Series) -- Biden Loves Dave Matthews?

October 20, 2008 7:20 AM

Speaking at a Seattle fundraiser Sunday evening, Sen. Joe Biden, D-Del., had the difficult task of following an opening act performance by Dave Matthews.

Once Matthews finished his brief acoustic set, Biden took the stage at the downtown Sheraton hotel alongside Sen. Patty Murray, D-Wash., but the Democratic vice presidential nominee quickly noticed that Murray's Washington state colleague, Sen. Maria Cantwell, D-Wash., had elected to stay seated in the crowd next to the evening's musical guest.

"She's sitting where the real power is," Biden quipped.

"Dave Matthews, I want you to know, I've got more of your CDs, I've got more of the Dave Matthews Band than you could imagine, since my kids were in college," Biden then said.

"One of the dangerous things to do is come out on stage after some talent like Dave Matthews stops singing," Biden noted.

"I know," he said to the crowd. "I could hear you murmur, 'Oh, no, don't stop, Dave, don't stop.'"

"If I could sing, Dave, I could at least lip-sync every one of your songs since you first came out," the loquacious Blue Hen continued. "I'm serious, we are fans."

Mercifully, the Democratic vice presidential nominee did not serenade the crowd with his interpretation of any DMB songs.

Though "So Much to Say" comes to mind.

EXCLUSIVE: .22 Gunshot, paint balls fired at McCain / Palin Straight Talk Express
October 19th, 2008

(Sunday, October 19 - Filed by Mark Williams in Raton, New Mexico with the Stop Obama Tour) We learned at this morning’s Stop Obama Rally here that the McCain/Palin Straight Talk Express came through town yesterday. It arrived with a window shattered by a .22 caliber weapon. It had also been hit by an unknown number of paint balls from a paint ball gun or guns. There were reportedly no injuries and neither candidate was on board.

One local man who saw the damage and spoke with the McCain/Palin staffers said the attack(s) had occured in southern New Mexico that same day. The Express is traveling the country independent of the candidates, handing out campaign materials.

Sarah Palin is stumping in of all places Roswell, New Mexico today and then roughly back the way we came with an event at the Henderson, Nevada Pavilion tomorrow and a stop in Elko, Nevada.

Sally Frank says Jake posts bad stuff against Palin and fluff about Biden. She should remember that Jake does not live in a pro-America part of America and may be afraid for his life.

Biden is unfit to be president.

Joe has either had too much Botox to the brain or he has Alzheimer's.
Anyone who wants to ask him can find him at Katie's Restaurant. He's been waiting there since yesterday for a server to take his order.

CNTD for hero's benift...

OBAMA: Look, I'm going to have to respond to this just really quickly, but by Senator Clinton's own vetting standards, I don't think she would make it, since President Clinton pardoned or commuted the sentences of two members of the Weather Underground, which I think is a slightly more significant act...

(APPLAUSE)

GIBSON: Please.

OBAMA: ... than me serving on a board with somebody for actions that he did 40 years ago.

HERO,
"Barack Obama told George Stephanopoulos during the ABC democratic primary debate in April that "Bill Ayers" was just "a guy who lives in my neighborhood."

Your a liar or uninformed please see the text of the transcript that is on abcs website:

OBAMA: George, but this is an example of what I'm talking about. This is a guy who lives in my neighborhood, who's a professor of English in Chicago who I know and who I have not received some official endorsement from. He's not somebody who I exchange ideas from on a regular basis.

And the notion that somehow as a consequence of me knowing somebody who engaged in detestable acts 40 years ago, when I was 8 years old, somehow reflects on me and my values doesn't make much sense, George.

The fact is that I'm also friendly with Tom Coburn, one of the most conservative Republicans in the United States Senate, who, during his campaign, once said that it might be appropriate to apply the death penalty to those who carried out abortions.

Do I need to apologize for Mr. Coburn's statements? Because I certainly don't agree with those, either.

So this kind of game in which anybody who I know, regardless of how flimsy the relationship is, that somehow their ideas could be attributed to me, I think the American people are smarter than that. They're not going to suggest somehow that that is reflective of my views, because it obviously isn't.

Jake Tapper's "Oh, That Joe!" series is his little way of trying to act like a balanced, fair, objective reporter.
He can say he has had (now) 31 digs against Joe and an equal amount against Gov. Palin.
But the "Oh, That Joe!" series is just sugar-coated, homespun fluff; whereas the Gov. Palin entries are full out, angry attacks.

Has Jake ever written a real negative, serious critique about Joe Biden in this blog? Just colorful "whacky" anecdotes about good ol' Joe in between the attacks on McCain and Palin.

On the very same day he told us that Colin Powell should have ended all questions about Barack Obama’s national security bona fides, Joe Biden comes along to tell us precisely why we should be scared of Obama as commander-in-chief:

“Mark my words,” the Democratic vice presidential nominee warned at the second of his two Seattle fundraisers Sunday. “It will not be six months before the world tests Barack Obama like they did John Kennedy. The world is looking. We’re about to elect a brilliant 47-year-old senator president of the United States of America. Remember I said it standing here if you don’t remember anything else I said. Watch, we’re gonna have an international crisis, a generated crisis, to test the mettle of this guy.”

“I can give you at least four or five scenarios from where it might originate,” Biden said to Emerald City supporters, mentioning the Middle East and Russia as possibilities. “And he’s gonna need help. And the kind of help he’s gonna need is, he’s gonna need you - not financially to help him - we’re gonna need you to use your influence, your influence within the community, to stand with him. Because it’s not gonna be apparent initially, it’s not gonna be apparent that we’re right.”

Well, golly, if Obama is so untested that we will have a series of international crises — at the very time we are in a financial meltdown — which will make the Cuban Missille Crisis look like a walk in the park, shouldn’t we vote for the other guy who will keep all the miscreants in their place? Now, maybe we should rest easy because, according to Biden, “I’ve forgotten more about foreign policy than most of my colleagues know, so I’m not being falsely humble with you.” (Maybe Hezbollah’s occupation of Lebanaon was one of the things he forgot.)

Something tells me this is material for an ad that’s a lot more credible than Hillary Clinton’s “3 a.m.” ad. That one came from his arguably frantic opponent–this one is from his running mate.

"Google CEO Backs Obama

Google Inc. Chief Executive Eric Schmidt will hit the campaign trail this week on behalf of Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama, signaling Mr. Schmidt's push for a greater voice in politics while giving the Obama campaign a boost from a highly desirable constituency.
"

"But some tech and media executives speculate that he might desire a role in an Obama administration, possibly the chief technology officer post Sen. Obama has said he would create."

I work in the IT, and Eric Schmidt is one of the respected person in the IT. Google have reshaped the IT industry within in such short time, combining success with a very on of the best working climate.

We have the smartest cabinet assembled in history!

Warren Buffet, Colin Powell, Eric Schmidt ... who's next!

OBAMA LIED ABOUT HIS RELATIONSHIP WITH TERRORIST BILL AYERS

He wasn't just some "guy who lived in the neighborhood" in Chicago.
THEY WORKED ON THE SAME FLOOR OF THE SAME OFFICE BUILDING FOR SEVERAL YEARS.

And, it was a little building at 115 South Sangamon in Chicago Illinois where they worked together.

Barack Obama told George Stephanopoulos during the ABC democratic primary debate in April that "Bill Ayers" was just "a guy who lives in my neighborhood."

But, yesterday it was revealed that Barack Obama and Bill Ayers actually shared the same office building- on the same floor- for several years!

verumserum.com

Barack Obama, terrorist Bill Ayers and Maoist hardliner Mike Klonsky shared the same office in Chicago for several years.

Moaist Mike Klonsky worked at 115 South Sangamon in Chicago on the University of Illinois Chicago Campus:
Michael Klonsky,
Professor and Director
Small Schools Workshop
University of Illinois at Chicago
115 S. Sangamon Street, #118
Chicago, IL 60607

BILL THE BOMBER...

Thanks to MSM we now know all there is to know about 'Joe the Plumber', from what he owes to who he knows. He has been interviewed to death.

I want to know about BILL the BOMBER.
Where are his interviews? What does he owe?

And if he hates America so much, then why is he living in a mansion?

Personally, I am realyl starting to like Biden! Biden rules!

Attention Jake Tapper- Biden has not held a Press Conference in over a month! Where is your count down of the days until Biden meets the Press like you did with Gov. Palin?

Obama has taken questions from his traveling press entourage since late September.
Jake - why aren't you calling them out on it, like you did Gov. Palin?

And Jake, Michelle was so active in the Primaries and now she has virtually disappeared, locked up in a New York hotel dining on lobster! Why doesn't the press have a Q&A with the future first lady???

Posted by: Will Stanton | Oct 20, 2008 11:17:21 AM

Tapper, your "Oh, That Joe" joke is getting old. And insulting. Would the world explode if you focused on the substance of what Biden says instead of what you perceive to be gaffes?

GOTHAM-TO-OHIO VOTE SCAM EYED
NYERS' HOME AWAY FROM HOME PROBED AS A FRAUD OUTPOST

" Four well-heeled New York Democrats are under investigation by an Ohio prosecutor for setting up a temporary home in the swing state - where two have already cast their ballots - just so that their votes will be counted there, The Post has learned.

The targets of the probe - including the daughter and son-in-law of a New York City real-estate titan, a former New York Sun reporter and a Bank of New York Mellon executive - are connected to Vote From Home, a Manhattan-based political action committee set up to get voters to the polls in Ohio, where residents are allowed to cast ballots 29 days before Election Day, investigators said. Has anyone else noticed that Michelle Obama has been taken out of circulation except for a recent appearance on the Daily show?

Could it be that they realize that she is definitely a detriment to their ticket?

To me, she really would be one of the worst aspects of an Obama presidency. To think that she would be carted around on Air Force one is a joke. That she would benefit from all that this glorious country has to offer is sickening. The same country that she has never been proud of. The idea of her sleeping in the White House is preposterous.

It is important that the Silent Majority, all 100,000,000 million of us of voting age, turn out in all our force and send Michele Obama back to Chicago where she belongs. This will be the most important vote of our generation, please don't leave it up to others to vote for you.
