The OHIO polls as per RCP are examples of how some polls will be wrong on election day.

Six (6) polls are predicting that Obama will win OHIO no matter if he is winning, losing or tied among Independents accounted for almost 30% of all voters in OHIO.

John Kerry won among independents in OHIO by 19 points while losing the election by 3 points. Also, Marist Poll shows Obama underperforming John Kerry by 8 points among Democrats.

-Marist College (Ohio - 48-45 Obama, 10/26) Obama +3
The Poll shows Obama winning among Indies by 9

-LATIMES/Bloomberg(10/25 - 10/27): Obama +9 overall;
The poll shows McCain is winning Independents by 11 points

-Quinnipiac Polls (10/22 - 10/26): Obama +9 overall;
The Poll shows Obama is winning independents by 12 points.

-The AP/GFK (10/22-10/26) Obama +6 overall,
Poll shows both candidates receiving similar support among indies.

-The Survey USA, (10/26-10/27), Obama +4
Poll shows McCain winning independents by 2

-National Jourmal/FD (10-23-10/27), Obama +7
Poll shows both candidates receiving similar support among indies.

If, like I think will be the case, enough Obama supporters stay home on Election Day thinking that they already voted when the nice man called them on the phone the other day, then McCain will have this one in the bag!

Sweet!

McCain will have to rely on his people to suppress the vote in the red states where they have established organization in the governments.
That won't help him in Pennsylvania.

I hope the national polls narrow a bit. The only thing that could stop Obama winning right now is if his supporters think he's got it in the bag and start slacking off.

Not much chance of that, though. Everyone's pretty pumped up.

Obama's ad was excellent. Shows he's a guy who thinks BIG.

OBAMA HAS VISION - I'm sorry MONEY.

Tears literally came to my eyes. Such a transforming figure - and to see it my lifetime- I'm speechless.

However he didn't tell me:

How the numbers add up. AP just criticised his egomercial for not being realistic with the $$$. (Minor point to those drinking the kool aid)

Why would he impose such a crippling tax increase when any respectable economist has already stated it will send our economy into a depression? If his policy isn't good for a weak economy, how in hell is it good for the economy at any time?

I did not hear him speak about judicial policy? How he would select supreme court judges that would focus on the 'redistribution of wealth' and undo the wrongs irregardless of law. Did he talk about the blind spots in our Constitution and of our Founding Fathers?

Did he bring up spreading the wealth? I missed that.

Did he talk about his radical education policy which is anti-western civilizatin based and socialist in nature. See Chavez-Ayers.Do you guys even know the the name of Obama's chief education advisor? Probably not - her name is Linda Darling-Hammond. Google her - one word - dangerous.

McCain will prevail because in the end the American people will see through this neophyte and fraud - he is a teleprompters dream and a policy nightmare.

Just something that makes you go uhmmmm:

Do you know of any politician that tells the whole truth?

Isn't our poltical system built on people telling lies to get their, then lies to "protect" us?

The way I see it, McCain, Palin, Obama, and Biden have all done things that on second thought they wouldn't have done, or their opinions have changed. Or maybe, just maybe, they can somethimes see the other persons point of view.

One thing for sure, they've all got smut in their background, some more than others and from what I've rsearched on them all, nobody needs to be talking about anybody.

People somethimes seem to have short memories about the messes some of our previous presidents, GOP and DEMS have done, ie, Cuban missle crisis, Vietnam, Watergate, Iran-Contra scandal, Gulf War, Afganistan, Iraq.

I think one thing the BUsh years have taught Congress, is that you blindly go into war with anybody with double checking all the facts.

So my plan is just to look at their how thay plan to handle the economy, health care, the war, education, energy and what their vision is for our country, and if it's compatible with what I believe and where I want the country to go.

Poll just like wether forecast, the true is when the actual day....Remember New Hampsire, poll said obama would win, but the fact was obama lost!

Underdog

Missed it. But thanks for the post.

I really think McCain is losing it. I actually voted for him in the 2000 primary. (Then switched parties when he lost to Bush.) I'm more socially liberal, but more a fiscal conservative. I thought McCain would be a good middle ground candidate at the time.

But the current McCain just seems like a totally different man. He decided he would be a right wing suck up. It's like he forgot who he was and let the Bush campiagn staff give him a labotomy.

And as many have said, Plain was the nail in the coffin as far as I'm concerned. It showed he'd rather appeal to the right wing extemists than midle America. Certainly wasn't the most qualified choice he had.

But I don't need to diss McCain. Obama is inspirational. I'm sick of all the negativity. And only Obama has offered a positive message and a plan to move our nation in a positive direction.

I agree WestCoastMessenger. In light of the current DC induced economic "mea culpa", I think it wise we all hold ALL our politicians accountable going forward and keep a close watch on each and every one of them. As citizens, we have a tendency to follow them closely up to election day then turn a blind eye to their actions for the bulk of their term. After November 4th, regardless of the outcome, we need to continue our scrutiny and watchdog citizen involvement!

Georgia is now a toss-up state on the Real Clear Politics electoral map! A die hard red state that had a commanding 16% McCain lead about a month ago, so Obama pulled his campaign out of here. Now, it is slim 4.2% lead for McCain and 6 hour waits in the early voting lines in the greater Atlanta area. Change is coming America!

Sure Steave, we all believe you.

Do you also have a copy of the famous "whitey tape"?

Posted by: Loosers for McCain | Oct 29, 2008 9:39:57 PM

The polls above say it all. Obama has such a commanding lead that he and his supporters can just relax from this point forward and ride the wave to the White House. There will be so many people supporting Obama that there is no t even a need for all to vote. If you are one of them just relax, stay home, take the day off. No need to stress yourself out and deal with the long lines. I'm quite sure we'll have you covered.

Obama/Biden

I agree 100%.

While Obama will attack McCain's policy, you don't hear him calling McCain an adulterer, a bribe taker, a hot head, or a complete hypocrite. He has yet to mention the Keating swindling or the dozens of other shady dealings he to which has engaged in his career.

The enthusiasm like that we are seeing for for Obama can only be generated by a natural leader. He is like no other in my lifetime.

I remember when John Kennedy ran. It wasn't like this. I think his legacy became more powerful than the sentiment at the time he was actually President.

But Obama is a once in a lifetime Presidential candidate. He is absolutely the right man for this time in our nation's history.

I'm glad I've gotten to see a man like Barack Obama have a solid chance at the White House. To see our young people so enthused about the future of our country and a Presidential election has been a true joy.

They just had McCain on Larry King Live:

Larry King asked McCain if he was in a jet over the Pacific and he learned that America was being attacked, would he think Palin was ready to take control of the criss.

He stated Yes.

He later stated in an aggressive manner to Larry King, "I resent you suggesting that I am going to die, and Palin would have to make those kind of decisions.

***************
Larry King had to tell him that he did not suggest that he was going to die, but instead was not in a position to meet with the heads of defense.

This man can't remember what he is asked, do we need another BUSH IN OFFICE

I THINK NOT.

Saw a clip from the tape. Reason we can’t release it is because statements Obama said to rile audience up during toast. He congratulates Khalidi for his work saying “Israel has no God-given right to occupy Palestine” plus there’s been “genocide against the Palestinian people by Israelis.”

It would be really controversial if it got out. Tha’s why they will not even let a transcript get out.
