MEW,
I am not a columnist just a commentator.
Mike's post is a snip from the NY Sun, which just went under.
Its basically BS right wing scare tactics about Obama and muslims.
The article ignores that Mr Odinga is an Anglican Christian, that the secret agreement for Sharia law was an opponent smear when in fact Muslims can practice Sharia law under the Kenyan constitution and have been able to do so for quite some time.

Ryan C., as a columnist can you verify the following post:
-----------------------------------------In August 2006, Mr. Obama visited Kenya and spoke in support of Mr. Odinga's candidacy. Mr. Odinga promised the Muslim leaders that, if elected, he would establish Sharia courts, not only in the northern and coastal regions where Kenyan Muslims are concentrated, but throughout the country, despite the fact that Muslims make up only 10% of the population, compared to the 80% who are Christian.
For the record, Raila Odinga has, in his own words, a 'close personal friendship' with Barrack Hussein Obama Junior. Why is OBAMA our US Senator supporting and giving speeches to Mr. Odinga in Kenya supporting the Muslim leader? There is some really black undercurrent with this election and I hope the public becomes aware and reads some before jumping on the Obama Express to someplace no one really wants to go.

Palin is more qualified than Obama to be president. She is also smarter than he is! She didn't set in a pew in church for 20 years and not notice the idiot up front was an American hating racist! I think she would also disassociate herself from known terrorist!
Michigan is a social experiment gone bad. Everybody up there is looking for government to fix their problems instead of looking to themselves. They taxed themselves out of the market and drove corporations out of competition with their unions.
Michigan a lost cause for business!

This Michigander is thrilled to hear that the McCain campaign is pulling out of Michigan!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
To say that Michigan was EVER a battleground state was a misstatement, and I'm so glad that Michgian will come through for Obama/Biden.
On the debate, Palin did a good job having 5 memorized answers to 20 questions posed. She attached Biden (and I knew that she would), but Biden stayed clear of attacking her. Biden never had to prove his knowledge of the issues. He had to get off the stage without letting the McCain campaign call him patronizing, condecending, or a sexist. He did that. The bar was set so low for Palin that just for the fact that she didn't implode was a positive for her. All in all, it's as it should be--the VP debate will not determine the outcome of the presidential race. It's still McCain vs. Obama.

The question is? Sarah Palin proved she is ready to be the next vice president? The answer is: NO
The question is: was she able to answer accurately on questions made by the moderator?
The answer is simply NO: She was using time after time such irrelevant talking points.
The question is: did she make independent voters change their minds and vote for John McCain? I don’t think so!
Joe Biden was chosen for VP, for his honesty free spirit and his experience!
He’s supposed to make a point when is needed. Sarah Plain was chosen for the position after only one meeting .The decisive factor was only the women’s vote and the prerequisite to be the John McCain cheerleader. She has only scripted talking points and very thin Resume. Sarah Plain VP? Thanks but not thanks!
OBAMA/BIDEN RULES!

Iowa is not a battleground state. It is totally in the tank for Obama, an entire state goo goo eyed over theone.

Biden was so much better than Palin tonight. It is obvious she was just using memorization and didn't seem to have a clue. She would make a great actress, but Vice President, I don't think so. She kept shifting to the only thing she seems to know a little about which is energy. Too bad she couldn't answer a question directly.

Ryan C - you are really obsessed with this race thing! That is one of the reasons why I hope BO does not win - because if he does everyone will be afraid to criticize him for fear of being called a racist! Can't you see that?!
Remember - a poll is only a snap shot in time - there are still 5 weeks to the election! So don't get too excited, sport!

Can you believe this"
Palin Says She's Eager To Debate Since "The Media Has Been Censoring Her"
This from the woman that hasn't held a Press Conference!
Who has bar three interviews hid from the media!
What a joke!
I ask all American's put America first and DONT vote McCain Palin!
AMERICANS DESERVE BETTER!

"And yes, for you to suggest that a poster is trying to scare white people for pointing this out is DEFINITELY playing the race card!"
So a play on racist sympathies is not playing the race card but pointing that out is.
So any time racism is pointed out that is playing the race card?
Posted by: Ryan C | Oct 2, 2008 7:52:40 PM
"Ryan C, live in your dream world or quote the polls that put your guy way ahead - that is fine!"
By all means Beckie mention 1 battleground state poll where McCain is outside the MOE.

Ryan C, live in your dream world or quote the polls that put your guy way ahead - that is fine!
Why do you deny it - BO does embrace black liberation theology (he sat in such a church for 20 years), as do a lot of AA, or at least they proudly used to before BO threw the good Rev under the bus! Don't be such a hypocrite! And yes, for you to suggest that a poster is trying to scare white people for pointing this out is DEFINITELY playing the race card!
Posted by: Beckie | Oct 2, 2008 7:46:32 PM
JJ, you are right, we are wasteing our time; you can't educate idiots.
Posted by: MEW | Oct 2, 2008 7:37:50 PM
Calling out a poster for trying to scare white people by claiming Obama embraces black liberation theology is playing the race card?
LOL
"Don't see so many journalist postings of the latest battleground polls when McCain is well outside the margin of error - unless there is a long blurb after them dispelling such polls!!"
Political amnesia and the right wing, like peas and carrots.
3 weeks ago when McCain was riding high post RNC, many people wrote about the movement of not just national polls but state polls as well.
Those leads have cratered.
Journalists can't write about McCain being well outside the MOE in a battleground state because he isn't.
Posted by: Ryan C | Oct 2, 2008 7:32:20 PM
Sure - Jake and all you BO minions are gloating - read the posts! The truth hurts, aye! Don't see so many journalist postings of the latest battleground polls when McCain is well outside the margin of error - unless there is a long blurb after them dispelling such polls!!
It isn't only Right wingers who believe BO is unfit to be Pres! Lots of Dems and Ind. do as well! And the Media have been maligining Palin for weeks - where have you been! They hate her - whether she wins or not tonight is irrelevant to what they will write or say about her tomorrow!
Posted by: Beckie | Oct 2, 2008 7:24:49 PM
That NH poll looks crazy. They voted against Obama there and set the stage for McCain's candidacy...
:)

"Gloat while you can, Jake! Noticed BO and his minions haven't been playing the Race-Card as he is ahead in the Polls! Watch for its return if he slips! lol!"
Gloating is a journalist posting the latest battleground polls two of which show McCain in the lead and three of which show Obama in the lead?
Right wingers are so geared up to attack the media when Palin fails tonite they are jumping the gun.

Oh look Mike is quoting the conservative NY Sun.
The paper that just folded.
I am sure the columnist can get a job at with Town Hall.
