October 21, 2008 11:36 AM
In Cullowhee, N.C.: Police are following leads in the case of a 75-pound dead bear cub, shot in the head, found draped with Barack Obama posters at the entrance to Western Carolina University, the AP reports.
In Chester, Va.: Chesterfield County police are investigating the theft of a 4-by-8 Barack Obama for President sign from the home of 78-year-old Leroy C. McLaughlin, an African-American Baptist minister.
The sign was replaced by a Confederate flag, the AP says.

Why are the incidents of violence against and property damage of McCain supporters in the news?

Sick Hateful People against Senator Norm Coleman.
Seems his garage was spray painted with hateful words and a DEATH THREAT!

Ryan C.,
If the incidents Malkin mentions actually did happen, that it's her mentioning them doesn't change that, does it? The best way to get at any truth is to ignore who the source is and actually look at what they're reporting.

How about that Robert Murtha? Called his constituents racists last week, and now rednecks. He must not care about his political future because he is done.

Are you from PA? What he said is correct in parts of PA. Should have have said it? Probably wasn't a good idea.

"Michelle Malkin"
Of course Malkin would know about hate.
She thinks its fine to lock up American citizens for no reason.

"Like clockwork as soon as obama begins to slip, or McCain makes ground"
Obama is pulling ahead.
So now what's your excuse.
The lesson for the day? Right wingers are a disgusting lot.

I have no doubt that the Obama campaign are involved in some of these "racial incidents" These are called "false flag operations" designed to draw the sypmpathy of undecideds, and the ire of supporters he already has. Sleazebag politics at its lowest. And Obama was supposed to be the transformational candidate. Funny how Jake, and the rest of the obama worshipping media never reminds obama of his daily contradictions.

"What possible rationale could the Obama have for doing this? "

To keep the ever present issue of race.. an everpresent issue of race.
IS THIS THE CHANGE OBAMA HAS PROMISED US?

Here comes the liberal media , and obama surrogate RACE CARD,,,,,again. Like clockwork as soon as obama begins to slip, or McCain makes ground , we start hearing about bogus race issues, and its always the white who is the bad guy according to Jake , and his left wing loons.
Where is the outrage over the hideous hatred spewed toward Sarah Palin Jake? Sorry dog, I dont even believe any of this story, you guys have lost all credibility. Quit trying to play on white guilt, and start looking into black racism.

Bryan, you wrote:
"Jake - If you are going to post these types of stories, then I think you should do it from both ends. Where are the stories about Obama supporters (some of them very prominent, i.e. John Stewart, Madonna, Sandra Bernhard, etc.) threatening to beat up and rape Sarah Palin?"
Exactly. It's a complete double standard. Liberals, who make up most of the media, aren't as shocked, outraged or concerned by the hate of others on the left as they are by those on the right. And they suppress some stories while pushing others for political purposes. What Sandra Bernhard said would have been huge news if she had been a conservative. Michelle Malkin has compiled some incidents of liberal rage and hate in "Crush the Obamedia narrative: Look who’s 'gripped by insane rage.'” That includes t-shirts with "abort Palin" on them. A woman reported to police she was assaulted by an Obama supporter who hit her repeatedly with a sign post in NYC ("Obama Supporter Assaults Female McCain Volunteer in New York," Pajamasmedia, "Culture Wars: New Yorkers give McCain supporters the finger," The Observers).
A man yelled, "let's stone her, old school," as Palin passed by on the street in Philadelphia. But that isn't hateful. Liberals feel more outraged over conservative hate, and they go by their feelings, not what's actually been said or done.

I'm sorry - but all of you somehow trying to pin these incidents on the Obama campaign is ridiculous. What possible rationale could the Obama have for doing this? Obviously you want to believe the worst of Senator Obama and his supporters - but what proof do you have? You are absolutely right - there have been incidents against Gov Palin and Sen McCain that are shameful and disgusting and have no place ever - never mind in this election. But you have no proof - of anything!!! Of course when you make comments like these it just shows that you never let facts get in the way of a good smear job. It would almost be funny - if it wasn't so awful and horrifying. Awful and horrifying that today in the US - people think behavior like this is OK - as long as it supports their "cause" or "candidate".
I get that those who are now in power don't want to lose the reins - but they are about to. But the response should not be hatred and intolerance.
Again, there is about to be a change -and I, one among many millions, am glad.

"Just vote and be done with it. History is indeed coming at us fast now and I don't think anyone is in control of that. I fear the worst of this is yet to come ... "

A vote for Nader -- the candidate who DIDN'T give away the Treasury to the corporations -- couldn't hurt.

"You probably voted for Bush, not realizing that Bush's entire family is friends with bin Laden's entire family, though, right? "
funny..
Many of us have noticed that similarity. Barry was no longer Barry after his years in Occidental College and his subsequent trip to Pakistan.....
Yet many of those people who noticed... like myself.... have never before in our lives voted Republican.
But, the time has come..
Call me a racist.
Call me a typical white woman.
but don't forget to call me
AN EDUCATED AMERICAN VOTER WHO HAS EXAMINED HER OPTIONS
and will be voting for McCain and Palin!

"And to some people being called a "Redneck" is as hateful as being called a "N"."
Don't bother stating the obvious, It will just confuse them now, Mary. No one is interested in facts any more than a basketball player cares about the weight of the ball, they just want scores.
Rage is an addiction and America has been building one for 16 years starting with the pillorying of the Clintons. It is observably worse on the left because they were the underdogs and now that they think they are leaving the game as winners, they are getting even at any and every opportunity.
This is not the time for healing. This is the time for those still in possession of their better angels to get their heads down and out of the way of the campaigns.
Just vote and be done with it. History is indeed coming at us fast now and I don't think anyone is in control of that. I fear the worst of this is yet to come so say a prayer for America.

Where have you people been? For every hateful thing said or done to the Obama people, there are at least eight (8) against either Palin, McCain and before that Hillary Clinton on the net and by MSM. The Obama people know no shame. His whole campaign is a distortion of the truth and decency.
And to some people being called a "Redneck" is as hateful as being called a "N".

I guess we can see by the many anti-Obama posters here; that there's plenty of hate to go around.

"I knew you would be here to let us know what would really happened and put the spin on this"
What spin? Her spokesperson denied she said it twice.
Now she's confronted with the audio.
I know right wingers like their lies unchallenged but sorry this isn't FoxNews.

"The Annenburg Foundation in Chicago was chaired for 8 years by Obama.Guess who appointed him chairman?Terrorist William Ayers."
The Annenberg Foundation was founded and chaired by Walter Annenberg, a conservative newspaper owner and friend of Ronald Reagan who served as ambassador during his administration.
Walter Annenberg was a big belivier in education and improving education.
He started the public policy school at U Penn that does Fact Check.
He also started the Chicago Annenberg Challenge which was a public-private partnership to improve schools in Chicago. One of 3 authors of that grant was Bill Ayers.
The lesson as always? Right wingers lie.
