Vile Anti-Palin Tee-Shirts in City of Brotherly Love
October 12, 2008 9:37 PM
Who are these people in this photograph?
The picture was taken at Saturday at Philadelphia's Park Hyatt Hotel.
Others who saw the foursome verify the authenticity of this photograph to ABC News' Imtiyaz Delawala, who is traveling with Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin.
Why would these four think this is acceptable discourse?
Why would they think wearing these shirts would accomplish anything other than win votes for the McCain-Palin ticket?
Vile.

UPDATE: Politico's Ben Smith has more on who these people are HERE.

We do not want more of the same. McCain is the same fabric as bush, how do you think that McCain is going to turn into anything other than a republican? What is the difference between Palin and Bush/ lipstick. I don't care what color the next president is just so it benefits me and my pocket book. You boobs that would rather go down with voting only for a white man is ignorant. Look into the mirror is it hard to accept what you are? The only color I'm concerned with is the color of money, green.

Sorry, I can't read the t-shirt. What's it say? "Palin is a . . what? Oh wait, further down I see it now, it's the same thing John McCain was calling his wife.
Gee whiz, why do people have to swear
Posted by: pefros | Oct 13, 2008 10:02:31 PM
What's the problem Jake?
McCain referred to his own wife in the same terms.

I was just sitting here thinking that.

Seriously people
it's a t-shirt
let's get over it.
We should be more worried with how our future will pan out with the upcoming election, not some person's personal opinion and choice of words.
We have the inherent right to freedom of speech, like it or not.
They shirt will become irrelevant in less than 3 weeks anyway so why get all hot and bothered?

I spent 2yr's of my life be shot at and watching people die in Vietnam! And then being spit on by on country because I did my duty. You are people are what will end of what was once, as JFK said a shining city on the hill.
I've never seen hate like this, just for the sake of hating someone.

More, and more, each day, I am finding political pages disappearing, rearranged to denounce, hide, rewrite, or distort.
Posts being pulled, deleted, or made unavailable.
Freedom of speech is coming to an end, unless you submit, and obey, and most especially, .....agree.
Sad sad dark days ahead.

The creator of the t-shirt speaks:
"I personally am a registered Libertarian, supporting Obama this year. Palin is the last woman I want to hold a political office right now. Her lack of common sense, cruel treatment to animals, and just plain ignorance to what we (Americans, and even women) really care about is absolutely frustrating. The point of wearing the shirt to me is just a bold way of saying that she certainly is not liked or one of "us." To play the gender card is irrelevant, because I am a woman who wears the tshirt anyway."

I'd bet money on it.
I just read a story, that a radical left wing who's been ostracized by democrats, was at that rally videotaping what happened. Last name of Russo, I think? Well according to this story...Russo has had previous problems, legally, and otherwise, and he posted his video on you tube, and that's where everyone is getting the visual of this from.
That being said...how did this Russo know to be at this particular rally? What indicator did he have, to believe that something MIGHT happen, at this particular rally, of all the rallies?
Really makes one wonder, doesn't it?

The creator of the t-shirt, Rhiannon-Marie Volpe, is actually the woman in the photograph. Her mug is also available on Facebook. Easily identifiable.
Hope the photo travels with her throughout her lifetime.

"I don't approve of these shirts. But I'm glad that Joe Biden doesn't encourage this kind of thing at his speeches the way Sarah Palin eggs on the most hateful elements of her base at her events."
Really?
Does she exhort her followers to stone anyone, as one man in Philly suggested be done to Palin?
Who was it who said that supporters should go out and "get in their faces"?
I still think the guy who cried out "kill him" was an Axelrod plant.
I'd bet money on it.
Axelrod makes Rove look like an amateur.

dl: "disgusting, and I am sure they would NEVER be allowed at an Obama rally. that is not spin that's the truth
Obama ...the man would NEVER EVER allow anything close to this to be at a rally
or said at a rally
Obama calls people on insults that are out of line...
he always has.
and there lies the difference."
---
see, dl, therein lies the problem: Obama has not called people on this kind of thing. A few examples:
1. Rev. Wright - whites brought AIDS, god damn america, etc. OBAMA'S RESPONSE: first, I never heard it (over 20 years), then, it's "disappointing," etc. Was there ever any real indignation over this stuff? No, not until Obama saw it hurting him in the primaries.
2. Michael Pfleger - calls Hillary Clinton a "racist" and makes fun of her in a very belittling, demeaning way. OBAMA'S RESPONSE: Nothing except to say Pfleger is a good guy who's helped a lot of people. Of course, now Hillary and Bill Clinton are being pressured to hop on the Obama bandwagon "or else."
3. Ludicrous (rap singer) - calls Hillary Clinton a "b*&c%h" and John McCain a cripple in a pro-Obama song. OBAMA'S RESPONSE: NOTHING.
4. Various celebrities voicing their support of Obama while making nasty, tasteless remarks about his opponents. OBAMA'S RESPONSE: NOTHING.
Finally, let's look at the real racism in this campaign - from Obama, his campaign, his associates and his supporters. When you have 97% of the blacks voting for the black candidate, many of them BECAUSE HE IS BLACK (their words, not mine), THAT is racism. When you have him frequently bringing up how he is "different," THAT is trying to race-bait. When you have his campaign calling anyone who questions him in any way a racist, THAT is feeding racism, not helping it.
THE ONLY CHANGE THIS MAN REPRESENTS IS MORE WELFARE FOR THOSE WHO REFUSE TO WORK, MORE GOVERNMENT SPENDING WHEN WE ARE IN CRISIS AND A MAN WHO CARES FIRST AND FOREMOST (AND IN MY OPINION ONLY) ABOUT HIS OWN AMBITION.
NO THANKS!

I don't get it. If McCain supporters would had shown up to a BO rally wearing a derrogatory T Shirt about Obama, it would been all over the news. But somehow, this is not news worthy?
So, if by McCain supporters are angry, what does this make Obama supporters? The MSM is totally in the tank for Obama, this totally disgusting!
Posted by: anne white | Oct 13, 2008 12:23:18 PM
"God Damn America" will resonate with 90% of Americans. Obama sat in that racist, anti-American church for 20 yrs. He can't explain that away.

Now why is it ok for these t-shirts ???? But its not ok for any one to speak truth you look its not just Ayers Obama has a long list of shady characters yet if the campaign brings it up they are racist?? That is bull the only one who has brought race into this election is the Obama camp. Stop hollering Race !!!!!! Start answering the questions !!!!!!

Those t-shirts are disgusting, as are the people wearing them. They are no better than those who yell terrorist or kill him. There is no place for that on either side. I do believe that McCain/Palin campaign stoked the flames of their supporters' venom last week...I've seen no evidence that the Obama/Biden camp did the same regarding these t-shirt wearing idiots.
Do you think perhaps the t-shirt phrase was borrowed from a comment (truthfully or not) attributed to McCain himself, once accused of using toward his wife, Cindy?

Rick so you approve a a State Trooper tasering his 10 yr old son and getting drunk on duty and shooting Moose. Typical Liberal. Keating five the other four were Democrats one was John Glenn.
Obama is a fraud and is being exposed. This is the biggest fraud in American history besides the biggest economic disaster brought to you by Dodd, Frank, Schumer and Pelosi
