Happy Birthday, Mr. Vice President-elect
November 19, 2008 4:07 PM
In Chicago today, at Obama Transition HQ, President-elect Obama surprised the Vice President-elect, who will turn 66 tomorrow.
After their weekly lunch, Mr. Obama presented Mr. Biden cupcakes, Obama aides say.
Here is a picture from the Obama Transition Team:
Obama lit the candles on the 12 cupcakes and brought them over to Biden.
"You're 12 years old!" Obama joked, referring to the dozen cupcakes.
"Maybe in dog years!" Biden laughed.
Mr. Obama led the staff in singing him "Happy Birthday," and then gifted his loquacious running mate with a Chicago White Sox Hat, a Chicago Bears Hat and a bucket of Garrett's popcorn as gifts.

"and then gifted his loquacious running mate with a Chicago White Sox Hat"
Whatever happened with just saying "gave?"

Change is not always the people you surround yourself with. Change is the leader and what policies he impose. Just because he is using some Clintonians, does not mean business as usual. Give the man a break. The man has not even been inaugurated and people are complaining about changes he is suppose to make. Can he get his foot in office before all the yacking and complaining. Obama himself said before you see any changes it may take at least a term and there will be false starts. Can the man at least start. Let him get his foot in the door. Good grief people! I mean you can't win for losing. People are never satisfied. My father always said never try to please people just please God because people are finicky. One moment they are for you and if you do something they don't like, they are against you.

Afther the birthday cake and singing, did they then rejoice together for having disabled the accountability mechanism when collecting campaign contributions via credit cards, and therefore having rasied millions of additional dollars without having to account for their source? Imagine a mainstream media who would actually report on this!

Dearest Joe:
You're the best Scorpio my mother has ever seen. I'm not sure what that means, but she told me to tell you because she doesn't use a computer.
Best of Birthday Wishes, much love and bountiful holidays ahead is what we wish for you.
Sincerely,
Lisa Lindo

Happy Birthday Mr. Vice President Elect Joe Biden. We are so very grateful that you were chosen! We wish you many wonderful, healthy years to come.
As one person wrote, how nice President Elect Obama took care of the cupcakes himself and didn't have a secretary do it. We pray for you both and your families that all will be safe.

I can't see McCain bringing cupcakes to Sarah Palin and having weekly lunches. But, they are the past. Thank goodness these guys won.

Remember what Obama said. Power corrupts but a good person can use that power while he is being corrupted by it.
The Clinton people he is choosing are the near NeoCons in the way they do their jobs. These guys can hit the ground running and get things done for Obama quickly. They have to get control of the trash Bush is leaving behind.
Bush is trying to put the Givernment so deep in debt and tie it up with grabage thay it can not function. With RNC loyalist deep in programs they will create havoc every chance they get.

Isn't this delightful? Obama didn't tell his secretary to send a gift, he lit the candles and led everyone in song. This is a real person, people! We are SO lucky!
