Joe the Plumber Questions Obama's Loyalty to the U.S.
November 02, 2008 6:53 PM
"McCain has fought and bled for our country, loves our country," said Joe Wurzelbacher, aka "Joe the Plumber," who has campaigned throughout Ohio with and on behalf of Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz. "There's too many questions with Barack Obama and his loyalty to our country. And I question that greatly."
Fox News' Neil Cavuto tried to clarify: "You're not doubting that he's a good American. Or you are?"
"His ideology is completely different from what democracy stands for," said Wurzelbacher.
Does Sen. McCain approve of this? I have asked and will get back to you.
Hat tip Josh.

This fellow Joe the Plumber believes 'a vote for Obama is a vote for the death of Israel'
Maybe Joe the plumber has heard the tape the LA Time is covering up.

Let's see. Last week, Joe agreed that Obama's election would mean "death to Israel." This week, Joe's questioning Obama's loyalty to America.
Joe (not a plumber, anti-social security, never in a position to buy a business, tax scufflaw) is certainly enjoying his fifteen minutes of fame.
Joe has hired an agent, is looking for a book contract, is interested in running for Congress, and wants to join a country music band.
I don't think Joe's income is ever going to reach the point where Obama's "going to take his money away."

Obama is the type of person who very easily could run for a position with extreme Terrorists of other countries.
Just look at his past and his church to see what he is capable of doing.
Yes his patriotism is in doubt and he would be a traitor if pushed to it.

Joe the Plumber looks to be Ohio's skinhead version of Joey Buttefuoco. All that is missing is the teenage girlfriend.
McCain's decision to elevate this guy to a status where he now has a public platform yet again reflects on McCain's poor judgment. If McCain were elected, his administration would be utter chaos.
McCain's role in life is to be a gadfly, which McCain calls a "Maverick". Gadflies try to influence the system from criticism from the outside. However, I cannot think of any that have had the ability to actually run anything successfully.

Does anybody care what Joe the Plumber has to say? Maybe with the money he is getting paid, he can pay his taxes and child support.

This fellow Joe the Plumber believes 'a vote for Obama is a vote for the death of Israel'.
Does McCain want to allow this kind of nonsense fear mongering to be promoted? Did he not know any better?
Why did McCain invite this man to join his campaign and give him a national stage?

If you don't like any of the Democrats or Republicans, why not try something new? Why not vote for Nader, or one of the other Independent parties? I seem to recall that this is not a bi-partisan system.

"Good Americans" pay their taxes, Mr. Wurzelbacher! Looks like YOU are in no good position to question the patriotism of others. Especially since you don't present any evidence of Obama's alleged lack of loyalty at all.

Fox New will continue to give Joe, not really a plumber a platform, because Murdoch is obsessed with Obama. At first he was intrigued by him, but now he wants to destroy him. Fox News/Murdoch has reported as fact the rantings of Andy Martin, a known "whackjob" as "fair & balanced reporting". He even let Hannity do an hour long smear fest using Martin as a source. Obama has lived with these vile lies began by Martin in 2004 on the internet. The NY Times outed the guy as certifiable, anti-semitic and a serial bringer of lawsuits, who is now banned from that activity.
I wish Jake you and ABC would do an investgative piece on this. If Peter were still around or Ted at ABC I think they would have stood up and exposed these retched lies.
Jake you have traveled with Obama. Tell me do you think he is a Secret Islamo Facsist Terrorist, who wants to destroy our way of life? Jake why not take a stand against the lies.
Also please remind the McCain campaign that when Sam the skinhead is out there he is acting as a surrogate for them.
An the ask them what they think about the Sammy Davis Jr remark.

Bud said: "Oh, say it ain't so Joe? You aint loyal to America or Ohio or Toledo? Oh, no!!!"
Last time (hopefully) that I make this point: what Joe does or does not do doesn't matter - the question he asked and more importantly the nominee's response are what matters.
Attempting to discredit a question by discrediting the questioner is as old a politicking trick as there is, and it stinks as bad now as it always has. It's just been legitimized in this campaign, and specifically by the liberal-left and the MSM.

"I was struggling to find the right words to describe what bothers me to no end - a total inability of everybody to make the liberals stop talking over everybody and using the method of intimidation to win. What a poor quality of character. Sadly, birds of a feather flock together, or also the fish stinks from the head.
It is my privilege to publicly agree with you.

Thanks, goto.
If Obama wins, I'll pray that he does a good job. He seems a nice enough guy, and he has some ideas - I don't agree with them, but if he wins the election he gets a chance to try some of them out.
But I am scared - oh, so very scared - that this will somehow legitimize the nastiness we've seen from the Obama fanatics. Not that we don't have our own - Hannity shouts folks down, and El Rushbo is as loopy on some of his digs as the most vapid far leftie. But those are the radio airheads, paid to be shocking, and that's to be expected.
It's the rank and file, such as the folks who post here, who frighten me. When their hatred is punctured, there is nothing left.
This is what scares me the most: having the helm of America being manned by people without moral compass.

Oh, say it ain't so Joe? You aint loyal to America or Ohio or Toledo? Oh, no!!!
No Ohio Plumbing license? That's not loyalty to Ohio that we can believe in!
Your boss is also unlicensed? That's not loyalty to Ohio that we can believe in!!
Delinquent in your property taxes? That's not loyalty to Ohio that we can believe in!!!
Joe, your lifestyle of FREEDOM in America depends on meeting your RESPONSIBILITY as an American, as an Ohioan, to follow the laws, to pay your taxes, and to register and license your business according to the laws.
To shirk your responsibilities puts additional burdens on all other Americans and Ohioans - limiting THEIR freedom - and puts other businesses that follow the law at a disadvantage.
To shirk your responsibility and disobey the law is ANARCHY. So, Joe it seems like you are an ANARCHIST!!!!

the biggest story that will come from this, is the investigation to see if someone in the bush adm. connected with the mccain camp. leaked this confidential information.
the republican have been know to do this kind of stuff before.
this could be a little watergate in the making.
i would not put anything devious past the bush adm.
nor would i put anything put anything past the mccain campaign-he wants to win so bad.
mccain wants to win by hook or crook.
just so he wins.
he thinks he is entitled to be president this time around.
and by gosh, george you said i could be president after you.

"There's not a single document espousing that Joe had any sort of domestic abuse problems..."
Kat said: "But yes, Joe there is. Joe the Plumber was accused of domestic violence by divorce papers filed in 1997."
No Kat, he was not. There was no implication of abuse in that divorce decree of any kind. Please identify the exact line in the document that charges Joe with abuse. Until then, you are simply passing on lies.
"Anyway, part of the court costs included in the divorce for Joe were charges from the Battered Women's Shelter."
Again, not true. The court papers in question simply show 3% of the court costs being applied to the county battered women's shelter, a common practice in many divorce courts. Here's the total breakdown:
COST APPLIED TO : CLRS (10000140) 3.00
COST APPLIED TO : LEGAL NEWS (10000130) 10.00
COST APPLIED TO : SHELTER (10000260) 32.00
COST APPLIED TO : COURT COSTS (10000100) 30.00
COST APPLIED TO : BATTERED WOMEN (3%) - COUNTY (10000230) 10.00
COST APPLIED TO : COMPUTERIZATION (10000250) 10.00
COST APPLIED TO : SPECIAL INVESTIGATION (10000190) 50.00
COST APPLIED TO : MICROFILM (10000210)
This is just where the filing fees go, not some sort of criminal action. My God, you people are unbelievable. This is the future of America...
Kat said: "Try some civility,Joe, when you disagree, rather than accusing others of diatribes and lying. Your'e reflecting quite well the divisiveness of the McCain campaign."
Once again, the liberal-fascist monologue: if I dare to question you, if I point out the lies in your statements, I am divisive. Gotta call bullscat on that, Kat. Your story is completely false, and I've proven my side of the argument. If you continue, you're lying, and now it's not just out of lack of knowledge - which makes it even worse.

Joey said: "DT You love Joe the liar , I hate people like you that act as if all he did was ask a question."
You don't get it, do ya, Joey? If you put down your hate goggles for a minute you might understand what I'm saying.
The fact is that it doesn't matter who Joe the Plumber is - he could be as wonderful as Oprah or as evil as Hannibal Lecter. He has a right to ask a question without fear of people trying to rip his life apart. Now, by "stomping" for McCain, he does put himself in the public eye and so his background is fair game. But - and this is the part you Joe haters are all missing - no matter what Joe's personal background, it still doesn't change the most important point: Obama's answer.
The spread the wealth concept is clear and simple and you either agree or disagree, and you either vote for it or against it. That's the American way.
But dragging someone through the muck just because they dared to ask a question, that's as anti-American as it gets. And your seething hatred is what scares me even more than a President who is farther left the FDR - and that scares me a lot!

"and yet that same massive machine never told us about Obama's aunt living in the country illegally"
Typical right-wing red herring. You jokers have nothing left, so you have to pull BS like this out of your keysters as a last ditch effort to woo a few voters. Unfortunately for your kind, this was all they could come up with, and it didn't do SQUAT. Furthermore, do you even bother to read full articles? All the information about this thus far has been unclear; her status is unknown. And what in HELL does this have to do with the issue of him running our country? Get over it already.
"How about the fact that two Kentucky students are being threatened with expulsion and criminal charges for hanging Obama in effigy, but that a Californian who hung Palin in effigy was simply passed off as a "Halloween prank"? To me, it's the bias, the hateful, cruel bias that you and your cohorts show on a day-in and day-out basis."

"Joe the Programmer. Those are facts (tax evasion, domestic abuse, unlicensed) about Joe the Plumber, someone you apparently hold in high esteem. A statement of facts is not a diatribe.
Posted by: kat | Nov 3, 2008 12:18:26 AM"
See, here is the fascist-liberal attack-dog mentality in full bloom. Distortion combined with a general lack of knowledge.
"Tax Evasion" is defined as attempting to avoid paying taxes by illegal means. While Joe may be behind on his taxes, like tens of thousands of Americans (we all know someone with money problems), he has never been accused of illegally attempting to evade taxes. Please point to a fact - any fact - backing up this fallacy. Until you do I'll call this Lie Number One.
Moving on... domestic abuse. Where did you get that one? Because part of his divorce decree asked for funds for women's shelters? That happens to be standard in many counties. No criminal complaint of domestic violence has ever been filed against Joe the Plumber. We'll call this Lie Number Two.
On to the only piece of truth in your entire post. Joe is unlicensed. OMG! He doesn't have a license! Do you happen to recall where exactly he said he DID have a license? Let's call this Misdirection Number One.
So, two outright lies and one misdirection - this is the Fascist-Liberal technique that truly frightens me. It's bad enough that the Democratic nominee has trouble with being honest and open, starting with matching funds at the beginning of the election and leading up to the fact that his aunt is in the country illegally. Or that we know almost nothing about his real politics until some poor shmuck happens to ask him a question that his handlers weren't prepared for.
No, the thing that Americans should be afraid of is that if the munt's and kat's and janice's of the world ever do get power, we won't be allowed to ask questions. Instead, it will be attack, attack, attack, misdirect, lie, cover up.
Wake up Vonnegut, the firemen are coming!
Joe
