Biased -
ABC has no obligation to print offensive or insulting drool.
If you want to invoke your free speech rights, go out in the street and start talking. That would involve taking some personal responsibility. You wouldn't be able to hide behind the anonymity of the internet.

WHAT: "pefros, your ''flawless'' candidate has given countless of speeches about being pro-partial birth abortion."
Quote one.
Obama has never been pro-partial birth abortion. That myth came out of a vote he made in the Illinois state senate: "In 1997, Obama voted against SB 230, which would have turned doctors into felons by banning so-called partial-birth abortion, & against a 2000 bill banning state funding. Although these bills included an exception to save the life of the mother, they didn't include anything about abortions necessary to protect the health of the mother. The legislation defined a fetus as a person, & could have criminalized virtually all abortion."
Voting against a bad law to do a good thing doesn't mean someone's against the good thing; it just means they're against the bad law.
Obama's on record as saying: "On an issue like partial birth abortion, I strongly believe that the state can properly restrict late-term abortions. I have said so repeatedly."

pls. people, don't judge the book by it's cover. No matter what fashion statement we had or color, looks, race know what in the eye's of God we are all created as one! Let's unite and support each other no matter what country we belong. Peace, unity, cooperation and equality are some essentials to make world at one. Isn't it nice to see people around the globe reuniting and helping in times of crisis. I think blessings will be poured and even nature would be grateful:) Were overwhelmed to Obama's victory, so let's join hands and help him in his advocacy concerning for a good cause and let's pray that he would be guided by our Lord to make right decisions that every one in all nations could benefit. Hope that he will be an instrument that could motivate our leaders in every nation to do what is right and help people that are suffering from hunger, discrimination, abuse, tortured, injustice and worsed WAR. No to gay marriage and abortion! Let us live, through the will of God and not by ridiculous will of man.

And what has Obama done for Illinois????????????/ Please do tell as the state has a near deficit to even match California. paleeasseeee he has done nothing for his state and will do nothing for this country's economy, but all you Obama supporters care about is a world image; that is more important to you than jobs!!
Posted by: hahaha | Nov 6, 2008 12:31:57 AM
No, Obama will get things done by pulling the race card and stomping his feet to even make a dent of effort to pass a bill. Pelosi is the President of the United States Barry is just a puppet.

Economically, the Republicans couldn't manage a fart.
During 6 years of Republican power over the White House, Congress and the Senate . . . they rang up RECORD government DEFICITS and record government debt.
Five hundred billion dollars of deficit each year for four of those years the Republicans held all 3 levels of power!
%500,000,000,000 per year - of government overspending by the Republicans!
The Republicans were GROSS overspenders of the public's money.
And they had the nerve to call the Democrats tax and spenders. Where did they think the money was going to come from? The moon?

Remaining Republicans and the 'far right' will do everything they can to inhibit progress in the Obama administration. I would hope that they would at least wait and see what Obama actually tries to do, but, in my heart I know they won't.
Republicans are reduced to many states that are sparsely populated. Obama & Dems will have to reach out to 'them' but I fear no matter what the Dems say...... it will be a hard sell.
After all this time of 'demonizing' Obama, Republicans will not change their tune quickly if at all.
If Obama is able to make a dent in the damage left by Bush & Cheney & Republicans, he will still hear the smears and invective of the far right.
Republicans have been good at winning, but, pretty lousy at actually governing.

you just made my point the economy was doing just fine with the Repubs.. in Congress. And your dems in Congress for these 2 years have caused the worst foreclosures in history of this country and the most corrupt government ever known to man; worse than the corruption in Russia. Yes, pat yourselves on the back. What is more funny is Barry's 3 a.m call. hahahahaha
Posted by: hahaha | Nov 6, 2008 12:15:44 AM
The Republicans had complete control of the White House, the Congress and the Senate for SIX YEARS straight under Bush and Cheney . . . and they rang up HUGE deficits each of those years. They set new records for overspending.

For some......who believe that the President is o blame for the hell that we are in need to learn politics 101 and go back to college. Congress holds the power, thus, the failures that we are in are do to the dems that are in Congress,,,,,aka Pelosi and your howard deans.....thanks for the hell and thanks for burning the rest of us smart people now with Ospotless and the rest of his senseless crew in office. Clinton had economic surplus because Congress was REPUBLICAN!!!!!!!! BOOYAAA!!!
Posted by: hahaha | Nov 6, 2008 12:00:58 AM
It is not the job of the President to make people believe in God, that is for your preacher. Your Church, your family and your friends should teach you morals.
And you speak of morals and Bill Clinton in the same sentence? No, I'm sorry, but I still believe in personal responsibility (did you even read my post?) Perhaps you don't and want to blame government for your problems.

If it was so important to regulate the mortgage and loan industries, and it the Republicans were so committed to it - why didn't the Republicans do it when they had control of the White House, the Congress and the Senate for SIX YEARS?

Yes, and how about someone trying to inspire others to believe in God and learn some moral values friend? I will never vote democrat, especially after the most horrific things that this party and your candidate did to Bill Clinton. Don't you have any sense of shame? No, you are too busy thinking about hallucinations that Obama has poisoned your minds on; a bunch of hot air in your tires. hhhahhahahhahaha

The media is not objective? Really? Wow, what a revelation.
Somehow, however, I doubt those complaining about media bias cared much when they gave Bush/Cheney a pass in pushing the phony war in Iraq.
The election of one man does not make much difference, government is a reflection of us and we are the ones who need to make a difference not politicians in D.C. If Obama can inspire even 1% of his supporters to do good works, then his election will be truly successful. So, to me, it doesn't matter if you voted for him or not - you should go about being a good American and a good citizen. I truly hope he is as non-partisan as he aspires to be for, as he noted, he has not yet earned the vote of almost half of voting Americans.

Your evening news coverage was excellent but be careful that you interview more than African-americans about this historic election. I know it's a big day for them but they aren't the reason Obama won. You've been very carefully repeating that race was not much of an issue in this election so let's hear from other races--whites, hispanics, native americans, Asian-americans, etc., all of whom voted for this man and enabled him to achieve success. I'd like to hear how they feel about this important milestone, too.

biased:
It's going to be a tremendous challenge; the Bush Republicans ran up the deficits to astronomical levels.
Where did they think they money was going to come from? The moon?
From 7/11 and Macdonalds workers?
Posted by: pefros | Nov 5, 2008 11:12:48 PM
Call me old fashioned, but I guess I have not forgotten the fact that people can say anything thing they want, but at the end always do something different from what they have said. I can't wait to see how this guy does worse than Bush when he is in office.

President Elect Obama never was 'pro-partial birth abortion'. That was one of the many smears propped up by right wing extremists to attempt to demonize Obama and the Democrats.
Posted by: pefros | Nov 5, 2008 11:05:02 PM
pefros, your ''flawless'' candidate has given countless of speeches about being pro-partial birth abortion. You are the smear that keeps trying to make this heartless man flawless and are making him like he is God. But, I guess what is popular means more to you and others rather than values. With that said, I will not waist my breath in responding to any further and tasteless comments of yours. Thanks!

Ed from MA stated that the media has hyped up his charisma and personality and this is the only reason that Obama won the election. If you actually took the time to look at his plans, you would see that they were a good base-line for success. Compare Obama's personality and charisma to Palin's you gotcha maverick attitude, it is even scarier that half the people in the United States voted for her ticket.
