Linda/Michigan,

If President elect Obama miss his promises of CHANGE.

Posted by: demayumo | Nov 5, 2008 11:13:14 AM

All things are possible to them that believe. Napoleon Hill once said “Whatever the human mind can conceive and believe it can achieve”. Against all odds, against negative ads, negative rhetoric, negative commentary, the American dream conceived in the heart of a believer, became a reality for a nation.

There were those that cooked up a kitchen sink strategy to sink Senator Barak Obama's election campaign. The kitchen sink strategy failed. Others tried mudslinging politics . That failed. The precision of the Obama 2008 Election team remained sure , stedfast focused on real issues to win the campaign. The pages of history will declare the folly of kitchen sink strategy and mudslinging politics.

All American's are to be congratulated for showing the world that democracy has never been a dream . Democracy is a reality . South Africa had President Nelson Mandela , The United States of America has President Barak Obama.

Political pundits may have a lot to say about this and that. History books will record the brilliance of the well organised and well disciplined and adequately financed Obama 2008 campaign.

It was said before, some months ago “...That if God wants Barak Obama to be President, nothing or nobody can stop that...”. History now records that he will be the 44th President of the United States of America.

May God's protection, God's wisdom and God's peace be with President elect Barak Obama and his wife Michelle and their children.May God continue to bless and be with the United States of America.

A great campaign. Democracy in action. Errol Smythe.

America is dead. We have a marxist president who will gloat when he walks into the White House. He will be served by chefs and driven in limo's while the rest of us go to the local soup kitchen. Get ready for the most beautiful sound, the call to prayer at sunset.

Hey ! Surely there is balance of colors, cultures and communities in this victory. And real beauty of this win is that whole of the world is rejoicing this change, joining you all to celebrate this moment. What a great moment of hope, let there be happiness and peace all around .. I am mourning the values and beliefs this country was based on. I am mourning for the people like me that make little enough as it is on our paychecks, because now i have to give my money as handouts to 3rd generation welfare recipiants. I am mourning for the policies that will be hurting our police officers in thier jobs and out. I am mourning a nation that thinks outside the country violence is bad but inside violence in the name of Obama is good. I am mourning for everything that we stand for... One nation, Under God, Indivisible.... I am not a church going every day kinda person, but i do believe that one of the main rules in the Bible that we based our country on is vital to who we are as a country. That rule is "Do unto others as you shall do unto them". This countries laws and values were set down by the christian religion, and now everyone wants to "seperate church and state". To truly be who we are is to stand by the motto "In God We Trust", it is more than just words. It is the foundation of everything that THIS country was based on. We are AMERICA, not Mexico, Russia, Africa, Middle East, or any other place in the world. Why do people want the ten commandments out from in front of court houses? It is another vital part of our country. People come to the united states to be free and to have a better life, and people don't realize that those beliefs and values come from being based in a christian country. Yet the people who voted for Obama call anyone that doesn't believe what they believe right wingers or scum buckets. I wouldn't call you a right winger or scum bucket because i stand by my beliefs and the beliefs of this country. Do you? Peace and prosperity was something you asked me about. No we haven't, but that is not the governments fault. Oil prices didn't go up because of the war, they went up because of money hungry fools. That is why most oil companies made 3 billion in PROFITS!!! That was our money they took. Be mad at them for the economy not our government.

I feel that people are getting out of why we elected this person for president, it is because he is giving us hope to end distruction of America with the economy and other key points of the nation. Not because of the color of his skin, he is an american and was brought up to understand our country, not because he is african-american, we elected Obama because he believed in the american legacy.

"I for one will be wearing black in mourning for our country until he proves his worth."

------------------------------

What are you mourning? The past eight years of Peace and Prosperity?

Just curious?

Good luck to us all with this "monumentale event". I for one will be wearing black in mourning for our country until he proves his worth. The worst thing we can do is pull completely out of the war. It shows weakness for a country that stands by its belief in a nation united against terrorrism and acts of violence to the innocent. My appologies for my feelings on this but we need to show our strength sometimes to stay the country that fought for our rights, freedoms and the freedoms of others. I hope he lives up to the things he says he will do. We just have to have faith. Isn't that what this country was based on? Some see the bloodshed and not the true reason we are fighting. It is not to bring war and vengenace, but to bring justice to terrorists that have taken lives and continue to take lives to this day. And i say again... Good Luck to us all and pray that this won't lead to another attack against the country we all "say" we love.

I love the college kids with communist T-shirts and commie flags in support for Obama.

So this is the change we should brace for now.

America won today. That is obvious in the enthusiam in Obama's victory not only here but in the world. It is obvious there would have been a far different reaction if McCain had won..

ABC's man lost but America's man won.
He won without questioning patriotism.
He won without questioning religion.
Obama won by being a true uniter.

This is America's finest hour so far in this century and the whole world knows and celebrates with us.

Congrats President Obama.

pefros,

Yes.

I don't think most Americans who haven't lived outside of our country realize how closely this has been watched around the world.

This will be a major boost for America around the world.

The first 100 days will be critical but we can build new alliances, shore up floundering relationships and tear down barriers.

I hope there will soon be:

(1) a major Middle East peace initiative

(2) re-establishment of relations with Cuba

(3) open discussions with Iran

(4) progress towards indepence for Iraq
